The writing was not so great along with the intro. It is an older book but it was a book that made me think. There are funny things, sad things and very very horrific stories. I especially liked the closing chapter logging two Oklahoma City EMTs during the rescue. You don't hear much about that anymore - us and our short memories. After reading this I would love to see some of the survivors, strange to think it will be 15 years next month. It was written when the field was still fairly new I am now curious to know how much it has changed. I am amazed at what these people go through.

This is an amazing book but some of the stories are heartbreaking and will give you nightmares!
