This Omega is Fierce and Wild

Rate this book
Transmigrating from the Apocalypse to a technologically developed, peaceful world, Qiu Yu’s killing skills cultivated through hundreds of life-and-death situations suddenly lost their use, and even his body turned into a weak, squeamish…

Qiu Yu’s world views shattered into pieces: What the heck is an Omega?!

Qiu Yu, who knows nothing but fighting, eventually decided to become an anchor for a full-dive game—not only could he use his battle techniques to make a living, but he also didn’t have to brave leaving the house and meeting people—it was the perfect job.

However, in his first-ever broadcast, he shot an arrow straight through the heart of the e-sport circle’s verified no.1 god of war.

Mu Feibai touched the place above his heart, the corner of his mouth hooking up: Interesting… Come play professionally.

Qiu Yu rejected him: social anxiety, not going, see ya.

…And then he was sold off by his live-streaming platform to play for a professional team.

Qiu Yu: This was different from my plan!

Mu Feibai: You shot an arrow straight into my heart… baby, you still want to run?

The one one read was “After entering a book, he just wants to be a flower vase”

I quite enjoyed this novel, the MC Jiang Dao comes from an apocalyptic world but after reading a entertainment circle novel he gets transported inside the book into the little villain’s body who is a recently debuted small actor. The MC comes into the world of the book where there are no monsters nor the need to fight to survive, he just wants to eat and and enjoy a quiet life but the original owner was under a black contract so he had to canto he acting and participating in different shows where he meets the Chu Yinlong, a Martial arts big actor but is a small side character that just appears once in the book. They meet, get along, fall in love, it’s really sweet, sugar overload.

Anyways, I liked the MC and ML, other characters don’t appear as much, the story almost exclusively revolves around these two, event the OG MC, Zhou Wei and OG ML Tang Yao barely appear, there wasn’t much trouble and the Main villains were dealt with really quickly so the story was mostly about the MC and ML falling in love with each other and the MC learning to like acting.

The only thing that bothered me a little is that the MC’s PTSD from living in an apocalyptic world is not treated as seriously as it should be, it is treated as a passing thing. PTSD is a very real and serious condition that really affects people’s life, it is not something that it can be cured easily and takes a lot of therapy and time, and can’t be cured just by falling in love, support form your loved ones help but it is not all it takes. It won’t be magically cured or disappear after a little time, I feel like the author minimized the MC’s experiences, he was someone who lived his whole life (20+ years) fighting, and surviving in an apocalypse where his comrades and family had been killed.

Besides this aspect I still had a good time reading this novel.
