Tucked away in the heart of Crave County is the small town of Cherry Hollow. This quaint mountain community is full of big, grumpy lumberjacks who look tough on the outside but turn to cinnamon rolls once they meet the curvy women of their dreams. You can expect obsessed heroes, plus size heroines, and enough heat to melt a lumberjack's axe in this short and steamy romance from Clara King.
Clara King writes short and steamy romance books featuring grumpy heroes who are tough on the outside and gooey on the inside. Her heroines are strong, curvy women with big dreams and sunshine personalities. Clara’s books include age gaps, cozy small towns, and a happy ending for every couple. When she’s not writing, Clara can be found reading, watching comedies, and eating anything remotely chocolate-based. She’s a history nerd, a cat person, and a fan of all things Jane Austen.
Sienna has had her overbearing, driven sister managing her life for a while now and she just needs a break. She decides to take a holiday from the job her sister got her and go to the cabin in the middle of the woods her aunt left her in her will. She happens to cross paths with a grumpy lumberjack that he feels she is trespassing. Chase just wants to get the curvy city girl back to the city as soon as possible. Will he help her repair the cabin that she has inherited just to get her out of his presence sooner? Will she get under his skin if they work together?
Another amazing book by Clara King. If you want a quick read, this book is for you. I love the chemistry between Sienna and Chase. I like how her cabin became her work nook! I can't wait for Clara's next book!
Her Grumpy Lumberjack is a fast paced insta love that is another fun, light romance in this series. The chemistry and connection between Sienna and Chase is off the charts. Their story is flirty, fun and overflowing with passion.
If you want a super sweet insta-love HEA novella, then this is it. 43 yo, ex-army, now lumberjack Chase likes his solitude in the woods but then 23yo aspiring writer, and complete sugary, dress-wearing in the woods Sienna appears at a neighboring “cabin” (shack that’s falling apart). She plans to fix it in 4 days 🙄 she’s a city girl who has never been camping or anything and the place is falling apart with a hole in the roof and no plumbing and everything. Right…..🙄🙄🙄
So Chase changes his tune real fast to wanting to be around Sienna. Ends up helping her fix up the cabin. And on night two, they have sex. And both of them are virgins. Both. Of. Them. Right…..🙄
Anyway, after three days, Sienna returns to the city to let her ten year older sister know she’s moving to the forest cabin and fell in love. Because both she and Chase obviously love each other after those three days. And her older sister doesn’t really question it too much. And Sienna returns and moves in with Chase.
Epilogue, Sienna is a published author now, of course, and pregnant with their first child.
Sienna inherited a small cabin from her aunt so she visits it to get away from her life in Denver. But the cabin is more a shack and now she meets her new grumpy neighbor. Chase is a typical grumpy mountain man, but everything changes when he meets Sienna. These two fell head over heels for each other and nothing could stop them from being together. Instalove, age gap, sweet, steamy , romantic and totally safe (oh yes both of them were virgins😏) with an awesome HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍
Sienna has been living in her sister's shadow and doesn't want to disappoint her. She gets an entry-level job at her sister's company, but it's not her dream job. She wants to be an author. She recently inherited her aunt's cabin in the woods and wants to take four days off to write.
𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍 💦 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝟑𝒍𝒍.
When she arrives at the cabin, she meets Chase, aka Mr. Grumpy Forest Guy. He tells her that the cabin isn't fixable, but she's determined to do it herself. Chase has to rescue her, and she realizes he may be right and needs help. He offers to help her, and sparks begin to fly between the two of them.
Chase is everyone's dream guy. 😍 ✅He rescues her ✅Offers to help fix the cabin ✅Protective of her ✅He's f--king crazy about her and worships the ground she walks on. He thinks she's the most beautiful lady he has ever seen ✅ He knows she is self-conscious about her weight. He is her biggest supporter. He always cheers her on even when she is rejected and has setbacks. ✅Marries and puts a baby in her. 🥺😍
Sienna needs a break from her life in the city. She works an entry level position in a publishing house, a postion her sister who works there got her. But her dream job would be as an author.
She decides to tak a few days off to go to the cabin in Cherry Hollow her Aunt left her in her will. But the reality of this fairy tale cabin she envisaged is nothing more than a shack! He ends up helping her repair the shack to make it habital but quickly falls under her spell and she him. Will she leave in 4 days and can he stand losing her?
A well written story. Sienna is struggling to find where she belongs and Chase thinks he is better on his own until they meet each other. Both realise that they have fallen hard an fast. Chase believes in her to help make her dream come true.

Her Grumpy Lumberjack is the first book in the Crave County: Lumberjacks Love Curves series. This was a fun and lively story about opposites who more than attract. Sienna was born, raised and lives in the city. But at twenty-three she knows she is not living the way she wants, instead living the life her older and very successful sister wants for her. So she decides to escape for a few days to do some thinking, going to the cabin in the mountains that she inherited from her aunt. What Sienna was not expecting was that the cabin would be more of a shack in the woods, and the shack would be missing part of it's roof along with other major issues. What she was also not expecting was the big grumpy lumberjack who is her neighbor. Chase lives alone and is happy that way. But when a curvy, beautiful, feisty, determined, and stubborn younger woman shows up claiming to own the falling down shack that is on his neighboring land his world gets turned upside down in more ways than he would ever dream of.
Her Grumpy Lumberjack is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her lumberjack romance. Sienna is a 23 year old curvy virgin from Denver. She is going to see the cabin her grandma left her in the mountains. Chase is a 42 year old hunky, grumpy, ex-military man. He sees Sienna when she comes to her cabin. He is immediately taken with the Curvy pink haired beauty but is worried about her staying in the rundown cabin. He reluctantly offers to help her fix it, hoping she will then leave. But the more time he spends with her, the more he wants her to stay. Will this young city girl move to the country for this hunky lumberjack? They had insane chemistry, and after some minor angst, we got a very happy ending. I loved it and can't wait for more in this series!.

✔️novella ✔️lumberjack x city girl ✔️age gap ✔️grumpy x sunshine ✔️curvy rep ✔️both MCs are virgins ✔️no breakup
3.5⭐️
This was a cute quick read. I was pleasantly surprised that there was more plot than smut, and though the smut is a little cringy it wasn’t really a big deal to me because there were only two scenes.
The story isn’t anything groundbreaking, it’s your typical city girl moving to the middle of nowhere with no idea what she is doing because she needs a life change and the grumpy lumberjack that owns the property next to her wants her to leave until he realizes how perfect she is. That said, it is just a fun quick read, and though the timeline is definitely unrealistic it is an instalove novella. There is a HEA and though there is a tiny misunderstanding that could have become more dramatic than it was in the third act there is no breakup and it’s extremely low angst. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
Sienna (h) has always dreamed of becoming an author, and when she inherits a rundown cabin, she decides to take a break from her uninspiring job and clear her head. Sienna heads to the remote woods of Cherry Hollow to assess the property, only to be startled by Chase (H), a grumpy lumberjack who owns the neighboring land and is initially displeased with her presence. Despite their rocky start, Chase offers to help Sienna repair the cabin, and as they get to know one another, they grow closer together, and things heat up between the two. As Sienna finds herself falling for the rugged, reclusive Chase, she must decide whether to return to her old life in the city or embrace a new beginning with Chase. Loved how supportive Chase is of Sienna pursuing what she wants in life. Hot and steamy instalove, lumberjack romantic quickie.
Sienna is looking for an escape from the city and a job she doesn't enjoy. Hoping that the cabin on the mountain will give her that. Unfortunately the tumble down shack is not the escape she was hoping for.
Chase likes his life up on the mountain with its quiet and isolation. Then a sprite of a city girl appears at the shack on the edge of his land and turns his quiet life upside down.
Sienna is a cheerful, sunshine ball of energy whilst Chase is a gruff, buff mountain man. Can two opposites find a meeting of minds and can they put their insecurities aside to say how they feel about each other before Sienna leaves?
A wonderful, sweet, steamy instalove in the mountains. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

This was a funny, flirty, touching quicky read that pulls at the heartstrings. Sienna is struggling to find her footing in the world of her older, "perfect" sister's choosing. She receives an unexpected lifeline in the form of a "quaint" cabin from a deceised aunt. Chase, the former military man who "greets" her is as grumpy as he is big and broad. He's as determined to be rid if her as she is to stick it out. Oh boy, the battle lines are drawn, but just what are they really fighting?
This is an interesting storyline with compelling characters that keeps you reading. Side characters are mentioned who also have their own books you can read (or will have I'm sure). I, for one, am certainly looking forward to seeing much more of Crave County!
I received this as a free gift and freely volunteered my review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Her Grumpy Lumberjack is my first read by Clara Kind and it won't be my last.
We have Sienna (h) who works an entry-level job thanks to her sister helping get the position for her. It's not what she dreams of doing. She was to be a writer. She inherited her aunt's cabin in the mountains, decides to follow her heart, and takes 4 days off to write.
Enter Chase - Mr. Grumpy Forest Guy. First, he tries chasing her off - telling her to get off 'private property'. Then he tells her that the cabin isn't fixable. But she's stubborn and tries to do it herself. Getting hurt in the process. He ends up helping her repair the cabin. Let the fun begin.
This is a sweet, steamy, instalove novella.

I am checking this out after seeing a recommendation for books with curvy heroine and virgin HERO. It's not any different from any Mountain Men novella I have read before, it's the same formula. Girl goes to the mountain for some reason (you named it, it could be anything), and meets mountain man, and they fall in love, Bam! HEA. It's just an instalove smutty read, quick and easy, something that I crave if I'm having a book hangover. I thought this was gonna be unique because it has Virgin Hero, but it's not. The MMC is in his 40s and a virgin, but it was brushed off with one line "This is my first time too", and was never explained or discussed further. It's fine but then what is the point of making him a virgin? LOL But it was an adequate read, I know what I'm getting, and it's a perfectly fine spicy novella.
This is book number 1 of the Crave County: Lumberjacks Loves Curves series and focuses on Chase and Sienna. Sienna was ready for a break from her job and the city, so when she found out that she had inherited a cabin in the woods from her aunt, she jumped at the opportunity to visit it and get a break from her life. What she doesn’t expect to find is a falling apart, abandoned cabin and Chase, the mountain man next door. The connection between the two of them was instant and they were instantly drawn to each other. It doesn’t take them long to realize just what they feel for each other and to go after what they want in life. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series.

Sienna needs a time out as her job at a publishing house gets stressful. Ready for a four day break at her aunt's cabin gets her excited but her sister is worried. She is not alone when she gets there as she startles at the grumpy man who wants to know why she is there.
It was a great read with lots of insta love. They definitely had chemistry and in a.way I felt sorry for Sienna because she wanted her own life but felt as though she owed her sister everything. She has her own dreams but her sister wants her to work her way up to her own position with the company. Chase has other ideas though. A great read though and I can't wait for more Crave County.
Great little introduction to the mountain men of Cherry Hollow. Meet Chase who is ex Army and trying to live a very quiet and content life when he gets a rude realization, the abandon shack next to his property has an owner and she just showed up.
Sienna needs a break big city life. She is tire of trying to always please everyone around her. So when she gets notice that she is the new owner of her late Aunts cabin in the woods she decides to take a short vacation to think about her life and what to do next.
Get ready for the short story about how Sienna found herself in the woods of Cherry Hollow and how Chase found what he never knew he needed. Age gap, grumpy guy/sweet girl, mountain man/city girl
Clara certainly knows how to pack a story line you want to swim in and admire all at the same time.
The introduction of these two meeting was one of my favorite scenes. Plus, how can you go wrong with Grumpy Forest Man and Stubborn City Girl.
These two can't help the electricity they feel for each other. We can't help but drink it in as we wish that was happening like now! I love how Chase pitches in with no real intention, and Sienna is smart enough to realize she's in over her head.
This read was fast, steamy, oh so dreamy, and make us wanna roast marshmallows outside and have a companion like Moose. It's all the ooey gooey spicy vibes you want in your life right now!
The story is about Chase and Sienna. Sienna needs a break to find her inner peace, but the cabin is not what she hoped for, and Chase comes to the rescue. He offers to help fix the cabin and protective of her. He thinks she's the most beautiful lady he has ever seen. She feels self-confidence and he hate hearing her talk down about herself and tells her she is perfect and every part of her is beautiful. She starts to believe especially when he encourages her to follow her dream of being an author. Chase is her cheerleader in her corner, and they fall in love in amazing way. I loved the story.

Sienna had decided to go to the cabin that her Aunt had left her in her will to get her mind clear. She had been hired to work where her sister, Megan, was the Editor-in-Chief which was Megan's dream. Sienna wasn't happy. The cabin wasn't livable. Chase, the lumberjack, had not seen anyone there in the 7 years that he had lived in the area. He was attracted to Sienna, but he was not sure if a city girl could live there. See how he agrees to help her repair the cabin so she could stay there. Will more come of them working and talking together? He asks her what her dream career is? Will she tell him?.

Characters: 4/5 Chase is a very desirable hero; he is supportive, kind and gentle. Most important of all, he adores his dog Moose - men who are under the paw are my kryptonite.
Plot/Pace: 4/5 A well paced story that can be read in 1-2 hours, ideal escapism for an overcast afternoon.
Clara has written a very sweet instalove romance with humorous banter between the main characters and an adorable dog - what's not to like.

What a wonderful story this was. We follow Sienna and Chase. They are opposites, he is grumpy and she is a ray of sunshine, but they still fit together. He first helps her renovate the cabin that Sienna's aunt left her, but he is not happy with that. Gradually they become closer and their feelings become stronger and passion comes into play. I enjoyed their story and how they eventually reached their Hea after a kink in their path.

Her Grumpy Lumberjack is steamy and sweet, funny and sincere, beautiful and bold. Chase is indeed very grumpy—he loves his peaceful haven and his pup—and doesn’t want any intruders in his space. Sienna is a young woman looking to find herself and her passion. With a kind and can-do attitude, she meets life’s challenges head on. The intensity between Chase and Sienna is electric, and their personalities clash in the best of ways. I laughed and swooned, and loved this novella!
