Is Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah? This question was posed by the Jewish leaders historically and is still asked by seekers today. In this book we will first address the meaning of the word Messiah; second, the scriptural expectations of the Messiah, concentrating on the Jews of Jesus’ time, as well as the Jews today; and finally, the scriptural portrait of the Messiah. The case for Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah of Israel is laid out in hope that some, having weighed the evidence, will embrace the only One in history who fulfilled the scriptural portrait of the Messiah.
