I started this one because I was like for a brother's best friend type of book...I am sucker for those reads.

This one was very short and a little too cheesy for me. I may give this series a try later.

I read a sample of this story at the end of Jinx Jamison's "Stolen" and decided I would have no problem spending the $.99 to get it since I was already enjoying it just from the sample. I'm so glad I did!! This has been one of my favorite erotic short stories so far!

I love Mara's character because deep down she's just like any other girl with self esteem problems who just wants the person she's been in love with for years to finally open his eyes and see her! And since Trent won't do it on his own, Mara takes things into her own hands, teasing and seducing Trent without him realizing what's going on.

Trent is Mara's brother Matt's best friend and so he doesn't feel like he can act on his feelings for his best friend's sister when he had promised to take care of her while Matt was deployed. Turns out that Mara wants Trent to take care of her too but in all the wrong (right) ways.

I loved how Mara had this whole elaborate plan to seduce Trent and it turns out the one thing that gets the ball rolling is a drawer that was accidentally left open. The sex between these two is hot! And I must admit I'm thinking about taking up Yoga as a hobby after reading this ;)

I also really liked how the story wrapped up. I think it makes total sense that Matt acts the way he does towards the situation given that he knows the kind of person that Trent is and his true character.

I would definitely recommend this title!!

This was a novella, so it got to the point right away. Of course you wish most novellas that you like can be longer but this read was still fun.

Trent has been best friends with Matt since college. And since then, he has always had a thing for Matt's twin sister Mara. While Matt is away he asks Trent to keep and eye on his sister and to also take her out for her birthday. Trent isn't looking forward to this as he is trying to keep his hands off Mara. Mara invites Trent over and she decided that she is going to take what she has been waiting for since college.

This was a cute read for me There are a lot of good novellas but I wish they could be longer. I really liked what Mara did by using yoga to tease Trent. after which the book steamed up. In a way you didn't see much of Matt but I think Matt should get a little story for himself.

Storyline:FAIR
Intimacy: GOOD
Enjoyment: FAIR
eBook Length: 694

Teasing Trent by Minx Malone is my kind of friend-loves-brother's-sister-story. I love that kind of plot, where the guy is worried over 'over-stepping' the line and the girl is determined to force a little stepping!

Mara, the main character is much more than a little sister with a crush. She has a plan, but with all plans involving your heart, she stumbles a bit. I liked Mara right away. She was one of those confident girls you like, that has that quick bit of insecurity with an even quicker flash of intelligent 'whatever!' thrown in. Trent was awesome. Who doesn't like the guy who tries so hard to do right he talks to himself, stumbles over his words, and falls all over himself trying to behave??

Teasing Trent is a fun, sassy story with great characters and some steamy -- hot and steamy -- scenes. I highly recommend anything Minx writes -- she simply has a flare for words -- but Teasing Trent was a great read!

My Review:
This is one of those fun, short little erotic romances that is fabulous to read in a couple of hours. Mara is evil, but in a totally good way. She wants Trent in her bed and is not adverse to a bit of underhanded trickery to get him there. Trent feels that he will be doing a disservice to his best friend Matt if he gives in to the passion that he feels for Mara. But when he begins to see that Mara is all grown up, all bets are off.

These are two good friends that are on the cusp of something really fabulous. Luckily, there is a blizzard hitting that just may help them along.

I really enjoyed this one. Mara and Trent are having fun together and are really good together which makes this a really fun, sexy read. There was a fabulous twist at the end that I didn't see coming, but it was the absolutely PERFECT way to end the book. Just fun and sexy!

A resounding feeling of meh towards this. It wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad.

Firstly that vibrator mentioned in the warning section. Holding it in his hand while its switched off does not need a warning!! The poor thing never leaves the bedside cabinet!

A nice example of a book where two characters simply feel that the world is keeping them apart when it isn’t. If you’re going to have a book where people legitimately feel they should not be together because of reasons out with their control then it really ought to be better reasons than the reaction of one other person.

Saying that though the main characters were likeable, there was a little bit of humour between the two and the main girl wasn’t some wanton goddess but was a little unsure of herself which made her more relatable than the main characters in some other books in this genre.

Cute quick read. I liked the mini chase that was going on between Trent & Mara. Both had feelings for one another but didn't know how exactly to react on it. Trent held back because Mara's twin brother was his best friend. Mara held back just because, but she finally made her move, and convinced Trent to go with it. The sex scenes were good. They weren't overly erotic if you are looking for that sort of thing, but they were good enough. The ending was really cute as well with Mara's brothers reaction to the two...I'll leave that for future readers to discover. Overall a good read, and I'd recommend.

Teasing Trent was just plain cute. I know, that sounds kind of strange when describing an erotic story, but I can't help it. It was a fun, sweet read that was perfect for a late night treat. It also made me want to find out more about the rest of The Alexanders, so I guess it served its purpose as a prequel to a series.

I read Teasing Trent as part of my Why Buy the Cow 2013 Reading Challenge and downloaded it as a freebie from Amazon on January 25, 2013.

It was also on my Doin' It Dirty February 2013 Read-A-Thon list.

Short,fun and hot read...!

Trent has forever been lusting over her friends sister - Mara - but couldn't seem to make a move due to his friends warnings and beating hes scared of ..not that it stops his fantasies of her.

Mara has forever loved Trent, but she never got a chance to make a move..so when Trent comes to wish on her Birthday..she seduces him till end and takes the situation in control..well brothers and beating be damned.

This is a very cute friends to lovers story, which is one of my favorite themes. The story is short but the sexual tension is very high, and the sex scenes wonderfully erotic. The main characters are also very likable and realistic. Overall I really enjoyed this quick read.

Cute short refresher. Definitely something I didn’t think too much about, plot wise. It had its moments, but I moved on.
Used this as a break from all my fantasy reads, and was satisfied.

Can't wait to see more of this family! *3.5 STARS*

This was a cute book.  I've been on a contemporary M/F romance kick lately, and this one was really satisfying.

ONE MORE DAY is about the baby Alexander Brother, Jackson, and Ridley Wells.  She's running from something/someone dangerous in Florida and she goes to her twin sister's house in Virginia.  She faints outside the house and her sister's luscious neighbor finds her and thinks Ridley is her sister Raina (they're twins).  Scared that he'll turn her away if he knows the truth, Ridley lets Jackson believe that she's Raina.  She stays at Jackson's house and they get closer, but Jackson and Ridley both have secrets, and that's when things get interesting.

ONE MORE DAY is the first book in the Alexanders series by M. Malone, but I got my first taste of them in TEASING TRENT (the prequel), and I was excited to see that the series was continued.

I thought that Jackson and Ridley were perfect for each other despite their trials and tribulations.  But what really made this book for me was the Alexanders themselves.  I really love this family.  I can't wait to see the other brothers get their books.  I know that Nick's book is the next one, but meh, I'm not so interested in him.  The ones I want is Eli and Bennett, the oldest brothers.  I know that there's more there to them.

Ok, so on to my complaints.  There were a few editing issues, but nothing to write home about (no pun intended).  My biggest issue with this story is that I couldn't get a sense of what people looked like.  Usually when I read a book, I have  picture of what the characters look like in my head.  I couldn't do that here.

No real ideas of the heights of Ridley or Raina (who's supposed to be a supermodel) beyond the fact that Ridley was small.  She was supposed to have lush curves, but someone made mention that she was 100 pounds.  How can this be?  Is she 4'9" or something?  It frustrated the heck out me to not be able to get a clear picture of these characters. GAAH! It really messed with my reading experience.

That being said, I really do want to continue this series.  I want to see what happens next with the Alexanders.

"I'm going to hell for this."

All good things must come to an end. I know I should not complain because it's a novella after all, but they were just getting into the good part--where the sweetness comes in.

A sister to your best friend is usually off-limits, that's like the rule among men. Yet, Trent can't seem to get his eyes and head away from Mara. He obviously likes his unwavering loyalty to his friend keeps him from making a move. I enjoyed the teasing, which I think worked on both sides because Mara seems to squirm under Trent's stare, too. I love how Trent tried and tried to stay away from Mara, and failed. Little did he know, she was also pinning for him and is subtly making her moves the moment he entered the door.

This is so short but it's still fun and sexy. This just convinced me to read the other books in the series because of having that feeling that the two of them will be there. Maybe we'll see how their relationship will grow. Malone knows how to write a steamy but still light and enjoyable scenes to read. Nothing serious, but definitely hot.

*3.5 Steamy Friends to Lovers (but too short) Stars*

Normally I round up my star rating, when I feel a book is borderline but this one just didn't have that extra spark for me. Still a 3* isn't a bad thing, really. Definite potential. This one had no glaring editing issues. A solid read.

As with most novellas, the MCs, Trent and Mara, took very little time getting together, at least where we come into the story. Normally this bugs me a bit but in this case, it was explained that they knew each other for several years, were very close friends and it was just that last step they each hesitated to take. Ok, I can live with that.

The writing was ok, not great but not bad. The brief "plot" was ok, too. I do like the friends to lovers theme. Again, as with novellas, it was over too soon. I understand the next book is a full length novel, which is a good thing. But, it's not about the MCs... Huh? It's about her twin brother, Matt. While the description sounds good, and one I haven't read before, I want to know more about Trent and Mara, more of their character, their history and future together. I hope they will get more time in a later book in this series.

Why: FREE prequel to The Alexanders series

Brief synopsis: Matt gives his best friend one thing to do whilst he's deployed - keep an eye on his twin sister. It shouldn't be too hard... if Trent can keep his hands off Mara.

What I thought: This book is a short prequel leading into The Alexanders series giving a little background into some of the supporting characters in the first book. It's a fun little book and definitely worth a read, especially as its free!

The beginning was kind of slow, but I liked the sexual tension Mara was causing and how Mara was teasing Trent. It was sort of intriguing how he tried to deny his feelings for Mara because of his friend. It was kind of weird how her brother, Matt, reacted to them being together, but it was interesting what happened when Matt called. This made me kind of interested in reading the actual series. Hopefully they show more of Trent and Mara.

Cute short ebook that was free!
Heavy on the erotica & sweet on the romance.

Mara has always had the hots for her twin brother's best friend, Trent. While her brother is overseas serving our country, asks Trent to keep Mara company on their birthday. Mara will get the birthday gift she wants this year.

I love that Mara went for what she wanted. And I can appreciate Trent really trying to hold off for the sake of his friendship with her brother. Him trying to pretend he's a player... bah! Ok maybe he was, but he wouldn't be with Mara. And Mara is willing to play dirty and ultimately wins her prize. It was quite steamy, and the ending was great!

This was a really sweet, HOT read! Although I try to stay away from novellas because they are too short, I wanted to read this one since it is the prequel to The Alexanders series. I was not disappointed. Mara was your everyday woman in love with the guy she met in college. Trent is a sexy sweetheart! I loved it! I can't wait to start One More Day! ;-)
