Family manor – check!First Family Sword – present!Pets – a whole menagerie!Enemies – more and more!Friends – some, thank the Code!Money – oops... I need more gold! And a Family Guard! And a housekeeper! And a gardener, and... Hey, wasn’t this world supposed to be my vacation!?
It's a waste of time and money to read. Here is what happens Alex build a guard force the do a thing that's glossed over. Alex clears a few rifts finds another family sword thanks to plot device snoop its just found now. And the king war no progress there really king is still alive and well. Helga and Alex u ask he saves her sortof in a rift and then they get into a fight cuz Helga is mad that he was better than her...saved her... who knows. We still don't know who she is but that's OK cuz she is called home. So that's a qrt of the book wasted there. Alex is betrothed to andi's sister now and dutchess from the Japan Segway is back and love stalking Alex. Book ends with Alex being outed on TV defeating an army sent to kill him from king all by himself and cliffhanger ending about have to save is friend trapped in a rift. Over all a total disappointment and waste of time and I don't see that being fixed in the next book that's already completed and uploaded to Amazon for pre-sale to wait 5 months to but to be let down again I'm sure. So I'll pass on the next and last book of the already completed series.
I received a review copy of this book. The Hunter's Code is the fourth book in this series, and while there's not quite as much action as in other books of the series, this one does do a lot of setup for future books in the series. There are a few developments of note, but I'll leave those as an exercise for the reader. If you've read the other books in the series, and liked them, you should probably read this one too, though don't expect a whole lot, it's mainly a bridge to more exciting things to come in later books it looks like, but it sure looks like things are heating up in a hurry. I'm seriously interested in seeing what comes next in this series.
A good book with plenty of action and story progress - dont know what the others here are saying. Alex has received his manor and is now bringing everything back in form. He forms his guard with the help of wolf and even makes his first public appearance by waging war with another nobel. On a different note, none of Alex old enemies get killed, the whole engagement story is still in the air and the author seems to be seriously afraid to write any romance, as there is no progress with Anna as well. In the first books Alex ran from ONS to ONS but now that there’s an actually interesting female character with good chemistry he becomes a dense, d*ckless loser thats afraid of serious relationships. What happened to the experienced hunter who wanted three wives? If the author is afraid of writing a relationship then maybe he shouldn’t put the woman on the cover, holding hands with the Mc!
This has been my favorite book by far. If you start reading them, stick with it, it gets better. The main character started out sexist and came across very obnoxious and rude. But as he grows with the writing, he becomes very endearing. He sets goals and he achieves those goals with a bit of trouble. Yes he's raiding portals, but the author doesn't overplay it or overuse it. Overall I recommend the read.
Another entertaining book in the Hunters series. The battle with King isn’t over yet, and more enemies hover in the background but Alexander always comes out on top. I really enjoy the companions he has acquired and hope his efforts to him them alive continues to succeed in future books. Can’t wait for the next book!
is a series that I get an ARC of. I check the translation from Russian to English. This is one of the stories that once I finish, I'm looking forward to getting the next ARC in the series. It's just a fun read for me.
8/10 The reviews of the rest of this series will show the same review. I'm trying to help out authors by putting up reviews for the ARCs that have been sent to me.
Lots of action in this installment. Alex has he and Anna to safety by staying at the Center. I have zero idea what is going on with Helga. Lots of mistakes made by her. Alex then moves into his manor- which is awesome. King comes out from the rock he crawled under. Great ending!
Excellent continuation of the series, and the new family guards showing their worth. The honey badger is nicely done, and gets lots of story time. His panther not so much.
I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
Overall, I am enjoying this series. The characters are interesting, the world building is interesting, and the dynamics between characters keeps me wanting more. There are strengths and flaws in the character and we see different characters progress or make mistakes including the MC. This book doesn’t have quite as much action in it but it definitely seems like it is setting the stage for future books. The MC has accomplished several of the goals he has set for himself including reclaiming his family manor and family ring. He knows he will be the target of many people as he has been up to this point so he continues to prepare for this while slowly building his family.

On KU this would have been Five Stars, but the authors only put the first book of each series there and charge out the A$$ for subsequent books. Since I'm paying a premium to read these, my rating criteria are much higher.
