I bought this Christmas collection last year but never got around to reading them so now is the perfect time. All new authors and new stories for me, I might be a bit lost with some. I find this is a great way of discovering new series's to read.
Christmas with the Alexanders is one novella I felt lost with while I was reading as this is part of a series I have not read so I did not know anyone.
Kay spends Christmas Eve with the Alexander family after an accident she has always had a crush on Eli Alexander. Christmas morning they share a kiss under the mistletoe and Eli walks out on her.
Eli and Kay's story continues in All I Need Is You the fourth book in the series.
This was very Christmasy and sweet but I did not connect as I said knew no one.

Kaylee Wilhelm and Elliot Alexander...The start of something incredible happening between these two but if only Elliot drops his fears.
Kaylee is a single mom and a singing sensation, her parents are religious, her mom is hypocritical and her dad is just trying to keep the peace. Kaylee needs a break and understanding but all she receives is condemnation from her mother. Her mother when she got pregnant with her, gave up her singing career and now she expects Kaylee to do the same. Her mother giving up her career has made her very bitter in my opinion and you can tell from the little things that Kaylee says about growing up with her. She herself will never make her daughter believe she isn't worthy of love.
Elliot Alexander is Marine (?) whose nature is a protector and server but there are things in his life that he has done, he is not proud of and is ashamed. He believes his past will prevent him from having true love like what his parents and siblings have and he also believes he is too old for Kaylee but it doesn't stop his heart and soul from wanting her.
Kaylee realizes that she doesn't have somethings for her daughter Hope, so she makes a run to the store to get it for her. The line is long and takes her a while to get out and when she does it is snowing really hard now and her car isn't the best. She decides to take the back roads home because it will be quicker but her car ends up sliding off of the road and dangling precariously by a ditch. Kaylee calls the one man who she knows will always come to her rescue, Elliot and he comes and rescues her and Hope and brings her home to his parents. Family is gathered and takes Kaylee and Hope in like it is the most natural thing to do.
This door opening may be the push that Kaylee needs to make Elliot see that they belong together. Now convincing Elliot will be a different story but with the Alexanders firmly behind her in the quest, Elliot will not stand a chance. Their story continues in Book 4 "All I Need is You: The Alexanders"

This was one short but sweet Christmas story. It was however a teaser leading into the January release of the full love story of Eli and Kaylee. It does have all the things you want a true Christmas story to have.
It has love, family, emotions, suspense, and the unknown. Most of all it has you smiling just like all of the other Alexander family books. You still feel the family closeness and love.
Kaylee and Eli’s relationship has been anything but smooth due to their age difference he is 30 and she is just past her teens. But, being an unwed mother and being in the music industry has made her more mature beyond her years. She has lived through a lot that even Eli’s family is protective of her. So, when they see that he has an eye for her they want to know what his intentions are toward her.
You see Eli used to be known as the ladies’ man but he has grown tired of that lifestyle and wants to settle down and Kaylee is who his heart has fallen for as hers has.
Minx has you pulling your focus in tighter on this couple for this Christmas story but don’t thing that the rest of the family is not far behind and some fun news is revealed. A lot happens in this short so you will not be disappointed but you will be asking for more. I was saying, “What? No, it can’t end there! What happens?” I can’t wait till January!!!

You will never ever go wrong with a Minx Malone book, and definitely not one about the warm and loving Alexander Family, and the entire family and their friends are back in this novella. The Alexander family series reminds me of Francis Ray's Taggart/Falcon/Graysons of New Mexico/Grayson's Friends series. This book focuses more so on Elliott Alexander and Kaylee Wilhelm!! No matter how much Eli tries to deny how much Kay gets to him, he just can't fight the feeling. I love the internal battle that he is raging to stay away from her, but is losing, of course!! All I can say, is where do I find Elliott Alexander? That is one beautiful man!! I cannot wait for All That I Need Is You, so that I can continue Eli and Kay's journey towards happiness. They both deserve it.

The entire time I was reading this book, I kept wondering who these characters were and why I should even care about them. Then I reached the end and realized that this was part a series, and this book was a little Christmas story that had been thrown between two other books in the regular series.
Ahh...so that's why there was zero description or character building. No wonder I was confused.
So yes, my bad for not realizing that this is part of a series before I read it. To make up for this transgression, I have awarded an extra star.
This book just doesn't stand on its own, however. There is nothing redeeming about it unless you're already involved with these characters.

This is the second book in this series that I have read, and I am hooked. I can't wait to read the rest of the books. Julia and her husband was able to give her sons a glimpse at what true love looked like each and every day. Now her sons are grown, and some have families of their own. It was so delightful to see the whole family get together for Christmas. I read the books out of order, but I think each book is about one of her sons. This book was about the sparks of romance stating between Kay, and Eli. I hope we see the relationship grow in the other books. This was a short, but sweet book. Some books are free, like this one. I'm sure the ones you have to pay for are much longer.

This is the perfect novella! Nothing like pulling at your heart strings! I am addicted to the Alexander Series and this is such a great preview to what we are in store for! This family is so dynamic you can't help but feel like you're apart of the love too! The Alexander in question.... Mr. Elliot! Omg, he exudes yumminess! I CANNOT wait for January. I think I say in every review that the couple in question is my favorite, but I really really like Kaylee and Elliot! I hope things work out for them both in the end, and if she finds more about Elliot's past. Highly anticipating whats next!

This was shaping up to be a great story but it turned out to be basically a prologue. It was disappointing.
I hate it when books advertise as books but are just meant to whet the appetite so you will buy the profile and the book and you end up paying twice as much for what should have been a single book

Read as part of the Naughty & Nice Holiday collection. Have not read the other books but will give them a try after this novella. It does end with unresolved issues and the next book is already out that features Kaylee and Elliott so I shall see what happens next. Good overall, easy read with enough back story that I wasn't lost reading it.

Very short story telling of how two characters long for each other but think the other is out of their league...they share a mistletoe kiss and almost start forever....then it ends on a cliff hanger.
This is an addition to a series of books, I did not read, was told it is not stand alone...even tho I agree...it was still very enjoyable as I am sure the other books will be also!

This was a free book, and the author said it wasn't meant to be a stand a lone book. I didn't feel like buying the other two books in the series, and I couldn't find them at the library. I wasn't crazy about this book.

I read this as a standalone even with the warning not to but I don't think it was that bad. You got the information you needed for this story but didn't have all the back story. The Alexander's seem to be an amazing family and I am definitely interested in continuing with the series.

I didn’t realize this story is a prequel to All I Need is You.
I was confused at first like what happened to the beginning it jumped to fast there no back story until I read to the end there another full novel to this.
Kaylee a single mother who singer. She been crushing on her best friend’s brother Elliott.
Elliott Alexander come back home from building his private security firm and see Kaylee again who he has feelings for but isn’t ready for it.
The night before Christmas Kaylee went out during snow storm with her daughter got into accident and Eli helped her and brought them to his family home. They enjoyed Christmas and shared kiss under mistletoe and then walked out on her and never came back to drop her off at her parents house.
It was a cute christmas story but ended with cliffhanger read next book to find out their story in the next book.

He and his brothers were all home for Christmas and were having fun at his expense. This story gives you just enough information to make you want to read their story in the next book. So this is the story of Kaylee and her baby Hope and Eli. Can't wait to read the second half.

Prequels set the stage
Good foundation to see where Kay and Eli will wine up. Hope being a critical part to the dynamic as she is Kay's daughter. Not to mention the tension between Kay and her mother Henrietta. Through it all you can see that the Alexander family are a good fit to the lives of all around them.

Short and sweet! Christmas is always special especially with family all around. With the Alexanders this special day is chaotic and loud and happy! Kay needed to get home with her little one. She cannot believe she left her diapers at her mom’s house! A trip to the store is one thing but in a snowstorm is almost impossible. I wonder who could rescue her?

My first ever audio book. I don’t think I am a fan of this medium for “reading”. I get too distracted. The story was good but it came out of order for the series which I never enjoy. For anyone else that gets the free offer of this audio book it should be 3.5 in the series.
