At first I was a little bummed that this book back tracked and gave us Pike’s POV from Anthony’s book, but I warmed up to it! I kinda wish though that it hadn’t taken up most of the book. It made the conclusion feel a bit rushed. Howeverrrrrr loved getting more of an insight to Pike as a character and the relationship development with him and Ryler

I don’t typically write reviews on books because we all have different tastes. Unfortunately I feel like this one missed the mark.
If you’ve read the first book in this spin off series, then reading this one is going to feel like a reread from a different point of view. It quite literally felt like scenes were copied and pasted from the first book into this one.
It felt….. lazy?
I wanted more and instead I heard the same conversations over and over. Idk. Not a fan of hopefully book three is better.

3.5 stars, rounded down, which means that the book is not a keeper/reread-worthy for me, personally.
Ryler is the voice behind a popular podcast she built with three others. Alia, her cousin, is the beautiful, photogenic body and face in front of the camera. Neil is Ryler's best friend and the producer, and Kit is the photographer. They travel together all over for weeks at a time to experience each place and do a podcast review. Putting an offer out to Instagram for people to nominate where they should travel next, Pike throws in his hat with his home town of Mistletoe, Idaho since the town goes all-out for Christmas. Once the podcast crew arrives, things get interesting.
The story moved right along and I enjoyed most of it but Pike, the MMC, was just too much of a man-whore for me. It was fun to see his ego take a hit just to take him down a peg. I felt like Ryler, the FMC, was just oblivious in many ways. Self-esteem is one of her issues, and you see her struggling to think she's worth more than just a casual relationship, especially since she doesn't stay put for long. But she was also clueless in recognizing her two best friends' personal issues taking a toll. I liked how the strain between Pike and Anthony's friendship was illustrated and how Pike stood his ground when his friends were telling him to just let it go. I felt like that was a good plot point.
This is the first book in a long time where I did not care for the FMC name at all and I kept stumbling over it. The MMC thinks Ryler is a man behind the podcast emails until they meet in person, so any other gender neutral name could have worked in that respect. But I just didn't feel like Ryler's name matched her character.
Overall, it was a fun book that takes place during the month of December, but is very mild on anything specifically Christmas outside of acquiring a tree and decorations, and looking at Christmas lights in a town called Mistletoe. The book clocks in at 270 pages, and is steamy.

If this didn't repeat half of the first book, I think I would've really liked this. But having so many scenes in book one repeated here made it rather annoying. Also, I then had a hard time getting behind Pike finding a different love since he was so upset with his friend falling for the woman Pike wanted. It made a lot of this book feel phony.

I have to be honest and admit that my rating here is slightly biased as I am a proud Idahoan and I absolutely loved all of the references to different places and Idaho culture. But that being said, if I were to read this in the perspective of it being some other random state, I would have to say I have some gripes with this book.
Firstly, I feel like there was not enough emotional growth and tenderness between our two characters Pike and Ryler, it was mainly lust. The book ended still feeling like they hardly knew anything about each other on a fundamental level. Secondly, I absolutely loathe the nickname “kitten”, and unfortunately that was the nickname Pike calls Ryler and I cringed every time I read it.
I will say that I loved the winter activities and the festive atmosphere, Christmas in Idaho can absolutely be magical and I feel like this captures that feeling. Overall, a cute little Christmas book, but I wish it focused more on the emotional side of love rather than just the physical.

2.5? At first I was thinking I liked this more than the first one. But the last part was boring to me. I wanted to know more about the other characters but eh? The ones I really want to know about are in book 3 and they are short listens so I'll probably continue. lol. I do think the male narrator is ruining it for me. Wpuld probably be better with a different male voice or maybe just reading it.

So far I'm not enjoying this series as much as the first one. I'm also not loving the three books happening at the exact same time. I preferred seeing everyone one year later and how they changed and grew.
That being said there is nothing wrong with it. It is a cute holiday romance with what I consider normal levels of swearing and sex for a Romance Novel. If you get upset when the lord's name is taken in vain and grown adults have sex than go elsewhere.
I did really like Ryler and Pike was good to her, even if he was a baby when it came to Anthony and Delilah. He got a cute dog which is a plus. The relationship between Ryler and her cousin Alia was also a high point.

I wasn’t sure about Pike’s story because throughout the entire Mistletoe Romance series, he’s been an unrepentant ladies man. Even with the last book I was doubtful. I was totally wrong. While Pike is an assertive, confident man on the outside, inside he’s plagued with insecurity and disappointment. Pike is a thoughtful, kind, dedicated, and loyal person and just searching for happiness like all his friends have found.
Ryler has a successful podcast but hides behind her cousin’s modelesque persona. Ryler has some baggage of her own and would rather be in the background than face the constant scrutiny from social media comments on her appearance. Wouldn’t we all.
Ryler’s podcast travels around the globe looking for exotic/hidden gem locations to explore and share with her listeners. She posts on social media asking followers where the podcast should travel to next. Pike’s comment and invitation to explore Mistletoe sparks nostalgia for Ryler and she jumps at the chance to visit.
Ryler remembers her Christmases in Idaho as a child and is keen to explore the Christmas-themed town. To learn more, Ryler checks out–stalks–Pike’s Instagram and is enchanted by his pictures, and charmed by the hunky red-head’s sense of humor. Aren’t we all 😉
These two are electric together. Pike’s wicked sense of humor paired nicely with Ryler’s snark. Their witty banter tickles the funny bone and their chemistry is off the charts!

While this one wasn't my favorite of the Mistletoe books, I did like it well enough. There were a lot of times that I thought that Pike was being a bit overdramatic, but overall though, I thought it was charming, with great chemistry between Pike & Ryler. I'm so glad that Pike found his own girl.
There was enough spice to keep things warm. The banter is fun and the festive shenanigans are full of holiday hijinks, and the romance has that perfect mix of swoon and playful tension. If you read book one, you will find that a good portion of this books takes place in tandem with that so a lot of it is from Pike's POV during the same time frame.
If you’re looking for a quick, cozy, spicy holiday escape, this one will be a great addition to your holiday TBR.

I love this series so much and this second installment did not disappoint! Pike and Ryler are absolutely perfect for one another. Their banter is hilarious, their weirdness adorable, and who can’t love Jo? I’m eagerly ready to jump into the third book.
Pike Sutton and Ryler Perkins have such incredible chemistry—the mistaken identity setup leads to some truly swoon-worthy moments mixed with laugh-out-loud humor. The small-town holiday vibes in Mistletoe, Idaho are absolutely chef’s kiss, and watching these two navigate their attraction while dealing with podcast drama and family dynamics had me grinning the whole time.
If you love grumpy/sunshine dynamics, forced proximity, holiday romance, and characters who are delightfully weird together, this one’s for you!

This was a delightful and charming small town holiday themed romance and book two of three in the Falling in Mistletoe series. It is not overly Christmasy, making it perfect for a fall read. I love how Pike’s story overlapped with the events of the first book (but still can be read as a standalone), making the friend group dynamics feel realistic alongside his inner thoughts of finding someone as his friends couple off. Ryler was the female main character I never knew I needed. I found myself connecting with and routing for her, flaws and all! Plus, I absolutely loved all the outdoor adventures and the social media/ podcast angle. On audio, CJ Bloom and Lee Samuels brought the story to life. So much so that I binged the book in a day!

Mistletoe, ID is shaping up to be the best place to experience outdoor activities without freezing off my keister, hang out with some of the finest characters ever, and watch love blossom between unlikely matches. Pike is the guy girls love and leave. He's a ginger-headed ball of confident energy with a heart of gold. Ryler is in town for her job, drawn there by Pike to bolster his outdoor adventure company. Neither expected they would hit it off so well, but the sparks flew from their first meeting and never stopped. Their clandestine hookup was a hot affair, though not as secret as they thought since everyone felt the heat between them. Another great story in the series with two MCs too scared to reach for the love they deserve. A little hot, a little funny, a lotta good.

Yikes. This one didn’t work for me at all.
This is essentially book one told from a different POV, with a few additional scenes. It felt like rereading a book I already didn’t enjoy-only this time, I also couldn’t stand the MMC.
The FMC is plus-size again, a podcast host and adventure blogger who hides behind the camera while her cousin, with her model looks, pretends to be her online. That dynamic just didn’t sit right with me, even though the setup with Ryler and her team was interesting.
Her falling in love with Pike-and with Mistletoe itself-was a hard no for me. Pike has never been a favorite of mine, not because of his appearance, but because he constantly inserts himself into other couples’ relationships.

I have been waiting for Pike’s book, and I was let down a little bit. It was a whole lot of the same passages read in Anthony’s book because it is the same timeline and interconnected. So I don’t get all completely new details.
Pike Sutton doesn’t have the best track record with love, and he is prone to stick his foot in his mouth. He gets the chance of a lifetime to have his favorite and very popular podcast choose Mistletoe and his business to cover in their next podcast. In the midst, he gets in a heated fight with his best friend and falls in love with the podcaster.
Ryler is going back to her roots in travel podcasting and back to her home state. She is excited for what is to come from this podcast, but she notices changes within her friends/coworkers. She falls for a local, and she reconsiders all she does.

I had high hopes for Pike’s romance after his appearance in the first three books in Cody Hall’s Mistletoe series. His outrageous shenanigans, snarky sense of humor, and his camaraderie with the other core characters always made me laugh. Ryler’s adventurous spirit and outgoing personality are endearing, the bickering banter between her and Pike is entertaining, and their undeniable chemistry is off the charts. I liked the adorable antics of Pike’s puppy Jolene, the beautiful Mistletoe topography, and the interactions between Ryler’s fellow adventurers. Unfortunately the repeated distraction of the constant drama surrounding Ryler’s cousin Alia was filler that drove me nuts and detracted from the romance between Pike and Ryler. I have no idea why the author thought it would be a good idea for all the books in the series to run concurrently. Retelling the same events from different characters’ POV’s is repetitive and boring as is the author’s endless reliance on including unnecessary daily minutiae that doesn’t further the story. While I always enjoy the narration talents of CJ Bloom and Lee Samuels I really hoped for different narrators for each story which delineates them in my head. I truly hope this author reads reviews and takes the critiques to heart because her books would be awesome if she does.

November 9, 2025I usually love interconnected series, and I really liked the main couple in this book. However this is the 2nd book in the series and happens at the same time as book 1. Towards the end of the book there were scenes that we already witnessed in book 1. While you were seeing it from another characters perspective I didn’t really need a repeat of the text. I did enjoy how the two came together but the last 10 minutes I was like how is this the end. No epilogue and again SO MANY unfinished details. Book 2 hinted at several other couples that I would love to see, but they aren’t book 3! Mistletoe and the people make a great backdrop for a holiday romance but I still need a year later epilogue!

This was the second book I read in the mistletoe series and I think it was absolutely adorable! I’m learning that I like a little bit of spice in my book and this one had the perfect amount of spice. I do wish the ending could’ve elaborate more. I feel like it just ended, and I felt like I wanted more answers- but these mistletoe books are just so sweet and charming! And I think what truly does it for me is the chemistry between the characters and he just feel like you know the characters like tell me why I googled it if there was really a mistletoe because I wanted to go see this for myself!

I’ve loved Pike since the first book.
He has a way that makes you laugh and smile the whole way. The banter and love this man has is so cute and charming. I’m glad that he found his love in this is book and that she matched him in all the fun ways.
Pike and Ryler were a match made for each other and they were so cute. The flanter hit all of the high points and they fought for each other the whole time.
So far I’m loving this series and getting to see the side characters from the first find their happy endings has been so fun!

I loved how funny this one was. With each book I just get more addicted to Mistletoe, Idaho and the people there. Pike is hilarious and I loved that he was a short king! We don't get enough of those! I swear I can't get enough of these Mistletoe, Idaho romance books. Can't wait to dive into the next one and fingers crossed there'll be more in the future.

This book was so cute and definitely the perfect holiday read. It wasn't filled with over the top Christmas vibes but just enough to enjoy the warm feeling. Ryler was such a fun character and i really enjoyed seeing her growth throughout the book and find her confidence to be herself. The found family was cute and i really liked all of the side characters as well. Pike was an interesting character but man he is hilarious in this book. This book definitely made me want to pack my suitcase and move to Mistletoe, Idaho.

Cute Christmas romance that'll make you want to pack your bags and head to Mistletoe, Idaho. The characters are so real and flawed without being overdone, which added both comfort and believability to the story.
You will absolutely fall in love with Pike and Ryler and all their friends. It makes getting to the last page hard because you know you'll have to leave them behind, and you won't be ready.
