Alone, injured, and totally at his mercy, she’s afraid to trust a stranger, but Gray Sullivan is her only hope of surviving, especially with a fierce snowstorm hammering the cabin and someone out there who might want her dead. Their forced intimacy ignites a spark that leaves her wanting more, but when the storm lets up, will Gray consider his duty over and return to his own life? Or is there something real happening between them that will make him stay and protect her?

Mystery, suspense, attempted murder, romance, all in Until I Found You by Wendy Lindstrom. Gray, the mysterious Pinkerton detective. Willow/Sophia the mysterious, amnesiac, beaten woman that Gray found dumped in the forest. Will finding her and helping her coincide with Gray's undercover work or lead in a different direction?

Characters that had me feeling the physical and mental pain, feeling the confusion from amnesia, and feeling the growing attraction as Gray helped Willow/Sophia heal and stay hidden until her abuser was identified.

Definitely a read again novel.

Although suspenseful, I found this novel most enjoyable. Emotionally battered Gray Sullivan is taking time out to quieten his mind before starting a new assignment. The quiet of the woods and clean air are doing their work until Gray discovers a woman who has been savagely assaulted and left to die in the snow. Taking her back to the cabin, his sole concern is saving her life, but with it comes the sense that she is in grave danger. When Sophia surfaces from her beating with total amnesia, she experiences fear and panic, not knowing where she is, who she is with, or even her name. As Gray uncovers the clues to the assault on Sophia, he also comes to realize that they lead him to the answers he needs to complete his assignment. The tender relationship that builds between Gray and Sophia is instantly wiped out by a few careless words, and it takes Gray some groveling to undo the damage to Sophia's heart. The novel comes to a happy conclusion, resulting in a lovely reunion and new beginnings. I received a copy of this well-written and tender romance as a gift from BookSprout as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Gray has gone to a cabin to rejuvenate himself after a particularly tough case at the Pinkerton Detective Agency. He is relishing the time alone….until he finds a severely injured woman near his cabin. Her memory is gone so he has no clue who she is, who hurt her, and where she belongs.

Sophia has lost herself and has only this stranger of a man to help her make sense of this world. But can she trust him?

Their relationship grows while Gray investigates not only her life but also the happenings at a local mill. Soon he begins to realize the two may be related.

This was an enjoyable read. I have not read any others in the series but plan to rectify that soon.

Grey finds Sophia battered and bruised in the woods during a walk through the woods. He takes her back to the cabin he is staying at before starting his undercover work at the papermill. When she wakes up with amnesia, he decides to call her Willow while he helps her heal. As she heals, she is ready to go out and find the answers to her memory loss but Grey is balancing his work as a Pinkerton with trying to find answers as to who beat her. The story has elements of romance with a bit of mystery. A light and easy read for when you want a story with a happy ending.

Grey finds a woman wandering the woods near his temporary home, beaten badly, with no memory of what happened and who she is. He’s there to work undercover at the mill where she worked. Poor “Willow” Sophia wanting to know what happened to her and go home while Grey is trying to protect her and uncover the truth before her attacker finds her. Yes he repeatedly lied to her but I understand why he did. I can’t imagine working in the conditions she did and to realize that they are worse than they should be due to another’s greed. Grey sounds like he has a wonderful extended supportive family that I’m looking forward to reading more about in future books.

This is a great series. I’ve enjoyed them all but this is my new favorite. The mystery and sense of danger that Gray is protecting Sophia from keeps you guessing.

Gray Sullivan is a Pinkerton agent and has come to do a job. He finds himself with a young woman who is barely alive and a mystery of who tried to kill her to solve. Sophia can’t remember anything. Who she is or where she came from. She needs answers but she trusts Gray to keep her safe. As time passes he falls for her and she for him but he won’t let his heart get in the way of protecting her.

So much more that happens and it’s a lovely story. I loved it and recommend it.

I love this book. I can't wait to be able to read all the others in this series. It was interesting to see the kind of work Pinkertons did at that time. Finding Sophia as he did caused Gray's heart to start opening to see what else there was besides his job. Protecting her, finding out who attacked her, as well as getting to the bottom of the problems at the mill made for a great story.

Maine..

It’s 1892, Maine. November, when Pinkerton detective, Gray finds Sophia, who he calls Willow. She’s battered and bruised and alone in the woods.
This book made me remember how much I enjoy a Wendy Lindstrom book.
Recommend.

Cute story that brought out to slowly. At mid point it was boring. The other Grayson brothers stories was much better.

The clean version..

Of Until I Found You. The sweet, closed door version of Gray Sullivan, a Pinkerton detective and Sophia, a battered woman he finds in November in Maine, 1892. Gray calls her Willow.
Recommend either version.

Didn't love it – Didn't hate it

Lost in Your Love is a character-driven tale by Wendy Lindstrom.

I liked the heroine. She was both sweet and brave in a wholesomely stubborn way. At first I also liked the hero, until he lied repeatedly to the heroine, thereby taking away her choice in how to move forward.

I liked the premise of the story but after the first few chapters, the pace slowed. Also, I appreciated a few of the environment details, but (for me) all of the daily town details didn't enhance my understanding of the characters or the motives of the villain. In fact, the best parts of this book where the interactions and dialogue between the characters.

Lastly, the ending was very sweet, but too short.

Content 411: Other than some kissing, this is a very clean read.

“Lost in Your Love” by Wendy Lindstrom
A Pinkerton Agent in Maine
This is a ‘sweet’ version of a previously published title. I thoroughly loved my time in this story set in Maine in the late 1800’s. A very good Romance & Mystery story. Happy Reading ! !

A sweet romance between Sophia and Gray.

Sophia: lovely, sweet. She was attacked, has lost her memory and stranded during a snowstorm

Gray: Smart, self sufficient Pinkerton agent, who rescues Sophia. He is trying to find out what happened to her, while working on his case at a local paper mill.

A snowstorm brings them and keeps them in close proximity. Gray figures out who Sophia is when he starts his investigation at the mill, but keeps it from her and the towns people to keep her protected from being attacked again. He needs proof to put the villian away, but knows as time goes by she'll not forgive him for keeping her identity secret. The mystery at the mill is solved but comes at the cost of Gray's and Sophia's relationship. Heartbroken, Gray moves back and makes the journey to reunite with his long lost brothers. After months of pining, he finally makes his journey back to Sophia.

The tenderness and love just seep through the pages. Sophia and Gray are just wonderful people so deserving of their happy ending. Lovely, feel good romance.
