Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and had to carve a second chance from the wreckage of his life. Now his kingdom - and the very fabric of reality - is being threatened by an unexpected Lucifer’s own son, Foster.
Foster has been grieving ever since his mother's tragic death, estranged from his father and searching desperately for a way to bring her back. Now, he's found one. Blinded by his desperation, Foster is walking down a dark path and refuses to see where it leads.
With no other choice, Lucifer is left to call on his closest allies for help to assemble an ancient armor that will give him the power to stop his son by force. Unfortunately, it will also incur the wrath of Lucifer's brother Jehovah - better known as God.The odds are stacked against them, and it will take a miracle to stop Foster from bringing Armageddon down on their heads. If they get one, just maybe they can clear Lucifer’s name in the process of saving the world.
If you’re a fan of supernatural you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
I want to start of by saying this was such a refreshing read from most of the fantasy books I normally read as, TPD is centered around Religious characters, and you can tell the research was well executed. This book is mostly plot driven, but you still do get a deeper sense of the characters as well. I don’t want to give too much away for spoilers sake… Mags has a vision of Luce’s son Foster, with whom he has a tumultuous relationship, bringing about Armageddon. Foster will stop at nothing to bring his beloved mother back from the dead. Luce, with the help of a rag tag group of fallen angel misfits and some archangels have to help save the world and Fosters soul. It is a bit slow to start, but there is a lot of information to take in, which I believe will help in the next book. Without giving too much away TPD leaves you on such a cliff hanger that you are going to want the next book now!
