About the author

Philippe de Mornay, known as Duplessis-Mornay or as "Pope of the Huguenots," French leader, wrote many religious works and advised Henry IV, the king, who renounced Protestantism in 1593.

Philippe de Mornay, seigneur du Plessis Marly, a diplomat and Reformed theologian, wrote. From the late 16th century, he represented most eminently.
