When vacations turn into nightmares, five women find themselves where no woman wants to be—drugged, abducted, and headed to who knows where. Not knowing who to trust, they must lean on one another. They quickly find each of their actions has consequences and have to learn how far is too far when fighting for their lives. The situation gets more complicated when one of the women discovers she knows one of the men involved—the man who concocted this plan. When love becomes hatred and newfound trust gets tarnished, the women must find a way to get out or go along with the scheme they find themselves trapped in. When it appears his plan is falling apart, the organizer will do anything to regain his control and show them all what he is willing to do to keep his reign.

I feel this should be on everyone’s TBR. It was a page turner, early on you connect a few dots but it leaves you wanting more! Trying to figure out how it is all linked together. The ending… left me wanting more.

No spoilers. Read via physical ARC from author.

First I need to give a special thank you to E. Lynn for sending me this ARC. Second I just need to say WOW! This book has triggers and is truly a female’s worst nightmare, but oh my gosh this story! I would love to think that I would be as strong as she was in this story, but honestly she amazed me in what she does. The twists and turns in this story has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I started it late one night, and then instantly had to finish it when I woke up. I could not go any longer to figure out how this ends. I absolutely loved this book, that I would reread this again! Such a quick great read! I cannot wait to read more from E. Lynn!

Would I recommend? YES! If you are okay with the triggers and want a quick thrill read, I highly recommend reading this!

The thrill was THRILLING. I finished this book in one setting because it just had me hooked. Definitely check trigger warnings prior to reading. I was so confused on how to feel while reading because while things i felt should have been shocking also sound like the dark things that we hear about happening in dark corners of the world, so it had that realistic feel to it that made the whole thing 100 times more effective as a psychological thriller. LOVED the ending of this one, i didn’t feel like i was left on a giant cliff hanger. The dynamic differences between all of the FMC’s i felt like added depth to the story as well. I don’t wanna get too much into the plot as to not give away any spoilers, the description pretty well covers it.
DEFINITELY recommend for my dark suspense and psychological thriller readers 👏🏼

I found this author on TikTok, and I was looking for something a little different than my norm and that would be quick, and this one did not disappoint!

I was hooked into this one from the beginning. This would have been one that I would have finished in one sitting had I not started it so late. It was fast paced and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next.

This one does bounce point of views between about 4 different characters, but it is clear and easy to follow, and the writing seemed to flow pretty good too. My only wish was that when we had a flash back to the past it would have been called out in the formatting.

I did not realize that this one was going to lean into a trafficking operation, so it does have some darker and emotional components. These poor girls went through it. It makes you think about how often this stuff is happening in the real world.

Several of the twists in here had me saying "wtf" and then the final little twist at the ending? Ugh. I need book two already! It wasn't a big cliffhanger, but just something to make you really question things! I want to see how the rest of everything plays out.

Super fast paced thriller! I went in completely blind & I’m glad I did. There were no lulls in the story which I really appreciate! The ending makes you want to go back & re-read the entire story to check for anything you may have missed!

If The Hangover and Taken had a wild, unhinged baby with trust issues and a mean streak—it’d be this book. What starts as a girls’ getaway turns into a full-blown nightmare when five women wake up drugged, kidnapped, and en route to who-knows-where with the kind of men your mama warned you about.

The pacing? Breakneck. The suspense? Chef’s kiss.
E. Lynn writes with razor-sharp wit and gut-punch emotion, dropping twist after twist like she’s got stock in jaw hinges. These women are raw, layered, and fierce—and when one realizes she knows one of their captors? Whew, honey. It’s personal now.

Trust shatters. Loyalties shift. And the big bad’s grip starts slipping—but not without a fight. Every chapter ends with a gasp, a gulp, or a “OH NO SHE DIDN’T.”

Fasten your seatbelt and hide your vacation plans—this wild ride doesn’t stop for comfort.

I love E. Lynn and her writing. I didn't read what the book was about before diving in, so the premise of the book took me by complete surprise.

There were twists and turns at every corner. The character voices are well written. The book touches on human trafficking which is an issue. It wasn't hard to picture these events taking place.

Reading the book is like watching a drama mini-series. I was invested the moment the tide turned. It's very much about the horrors that do happen in this world, but also survivorship, mental strength, physical strength, risks and knowing when to take chances. Throw in a long lost romance and you've got yourself a Netflix movie! 🍿

This book had my heart racing more times than I could count. My anxiety for these girls was at its peak. I think that speaks for itself on how good this was, being it’s a thriller!

With it being a sex trafficking story, I had high hopes for the ending to have some kind of resolution. The girls were brave and my heart ached for them. Thankfully & luckily for my fragility, it played out how I thought it would & how I wanted it to!

However, the small twist at the very end has me wanting to read book two asap!😳

the first 50% i was HOOKED and could not put this book down, then the excitement kind of fizzled out for me unfortunately, and then right at the end things picked up and i felt like things were resolved fairly quickly.

The writing was great for a new author i just wish the pacing was a little better. keep up the great work and im excited to read more of your books in the future!!

Very well written! I appreciate the multiple point of views as that way of writing adds a lot of depth to a book. I knew as soon as we knew who owned the motel, it was pretty easy to figure out who was behind this whole thing, but even knowing that, I still was intently reading trying to see what happened next! The scenes were detailed and felt very realistic- almost too much so! While I knew something was off with A, it took me a while to figure out why he stood out! Well written to not give the characters secret away!

I was sent an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

From the first chapter, this book sucked me in. It is a book with incredibly dark themes, but I appreciated that it never got too graphic into the topics it was discussing. It gives you enough to understand the horrors that are happening without having to read in-depth descriptions. I was immediately attached to the characters, specifically the 5 girls who get tangled up in this mess. I was rooting for them from the first page. And the pacing of this book was great. I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing this book in just a few hours because I needed to know how it was going to end.

I definitely suggest checking the triggers for this book before reading it. But if you're looking for a fast-paced, dark thriller, this one is definitely the book for you!

This book was a whole rollercoaster of emotions. From the first page, I was completely immersed in the story. As a woman, it was like living your worst nightmare but I still couldn’t put it down. It was captivating and terrifying and gratifying at times, all at once. I really hope we get to see more of the story because it definitely left it open for there to be more and I’m dying for it. Absolutely loved the book.

ARC Review
What a ride. This book is a dark thriller about Maria being on a road trip and getting kidnapped. There are also four other college girls that were taken. It is their journey as they try to escape and get their freedom back.
Maria is thrown for a loop when she discovers something about the captives that brings them close to home.

ARC REVIEW - 5 ⭐️

Once I started really getting into this book (which really only took a few chapters), I couldn’t put it down. It’s fast-paced, there’s multiple POVs, and there’s a ton of suspense to hold your interest. Being a story about human trafficking, make sure you check the trigger warnings. I don’t want to go into too much detail and give anything away. But this was very well written and I would highly recommend this book if you like dark thrillers.

Trigger warnings:
- Kidnapping
- Death
- Involuntary drug use
- Violence (including violence with sexual intent)
- Guns
- Forced medical exams/treatment

What a phenomenal read.
Makes you really think about the term - wrong place, wrong time - Maria wasn't supposed to be checking into her brothers motel, but she was there - and she checked in. Unbeknownst to her in the next room, a terrible story is unfolding for four young women, and Maria will soon be joining them.

Things like this don't happen to people like them, educated good girls, but, it is, and it's awful - these young women have no idea what is in store for them; the author weaves a believable story, that really makes you think.

So enjoyable, and may I say, a satisfying ending - one sentence in the final paragraph, did make be pause - will there be a book 2?

Wow! What a read! E. Lynn keeps you sucked into the book and wondering what could happen next! Wonderfully written, a great plot line and enough twists to keep you wanting more. The ways that relationships are woven and twisted forcing one woman to do whatever it takes to stay alive and keep the others alive had me holding my breath. I hope there is more to come because it was one I didn’t want to put down!

Like where do I even start. Well first it’s dark. It deals with a horrifying real issue that happens.

There’s suspense, I had no idea where it was going to go. The twists had me screaming.

The writing is amazing, it’s very fast paced, and I loved all of the different POV’s!

If you like dark thrillers, pick this one up!

Loved this book! Had me hooked from the first chapter. It deals with sex trafficing just incase you are thinking about reading it. The FMC is a strong bad a@@ that never gives up. It has a hint of romance that I hope will get spicier in the next book (I hope there is a second book). Well worth the read but CYT's (check your triggers).

This book is every woman's worst nightmare. The sad part is that there are so many ideas in this book that are pretty realistic. Not in a good way, either. This is happening right now, today. I'm sure you can tell this is about the abduction of several women. Not all of these women were taken together. There are basically 2 main heroines, Hannah and Maria. They're going to have to work together if everyone has a chance of surviving and / or escaping. The only hard thing to keep up with is all the characters and dates until you understand the characters fully. I was kept in suspense wondering what was going to happen to this poor cast of characters. There is also a pretty big twist as to who is ultimately behind the kidnappings. The book is not overly graphic, violent, or highly sexual. The intent is always there though because why else are women being kidnapped? I would like to know more about what happened to the characters after the ending. It was not hard to get attached to Maria and Aeron the most for me because they had a history. I understand this is the author's first book ever written. I enjoyed this book enough I would definitely read this author's work again. I say very good job! I'm glad E Lynn had such a boring job during covid.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily left this review.

Roadrunner Motel is a dark, gripping story that pulls you in from the very first page and refuses to let go. Five women are abducted and held captive, bound together by fear, survival, and the desperate need to stay alive. At the center of it all is Maria, whose strength and resilience become the heartbeat of the story. As the truth behind their captors slowly unravels, one shocking revelation changes everything—one of the captors has a past connection to Maria, turning survival into something far more personal. E. Lynn delivers an intense, unsettling read that explores trauma, endurance, and the terrifying ways the past can resurface.

“Dark, intense, and impossible to put down—Roadrunner Motel is a story of survival that will stay with you long after the final page.”

This one is definitely a page turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat! I was hooked right away and didn’t want to put it down. It’s fast paced, dark, and emotional, with lots of twists and turns throughout.

Definitely add this one to your TBR, along with the second book in the series while you’re at it. After the final twist, I know I can’t wait to read the next book.

Thank you to E Lynn for having me on her arc team again!
