GREAT FAST VARIETY

Great book. I LOVED some of the stories. Discovered some new to me authors. Some of the stories and me didn't mesh but there were so many other choices to go onto next. Overall it was fabulous. I hope they sell the hell out of this book to help prevent soldier suicide. These men and women have given so much more than us civilians realize. My baby bro is a WIA bad ass. THANK YOU to the authors for such moving stories showing a little glimpse into the psyche of the warriors. I wish there was more transitional services available to our veterans. 22+ a day is 22 too many. Great read, a lot of variety of story types, writing styles and an awesome way to discover new authors and support a great cause.

An anthology written to help veterans, why wouldn’t you want to buy it? There’s no reason not to and many reasons to. Eleven wonderful stories by eleven different authors giving insight into the military life, especially those left wounded physically and mentally. Sharon Hamilton’s Only One was my favorite for fun, flirty and humorous, Ash Henry’s Fighting for Harmony my favorite in the sweet, hometown category, Tamsen Schultz’s Twisted took me by surprise the most, EmKay Connor’s Saving the Soldier gave great insight into a military wife’s own ordeal but the most moving and emotionally charged without a doubt was Ghost of Khost by A. J. Layne and Lynessa Layne. That story alone makes this anthology worth getting.
1. Only You by Sharon Hamilton
Madison Grinnell’s ex boyfriend, Navy SEAL Carter Bradbury, is marrying her best friend Sylvie Fuentes today and Madison has been invited to the wedding but don’t worry she’s going prepared…all dressed up in the perfect red dress, heels, perfectly painted nails and red lips…prepared to make all the Navy SEALs in attendance notice that she’s there and available. And fast-living, all out SEAL Garrett Newsom is ready to take notice and play her game. I loved how Sharon Hamilton showed the dark side of a SEALs life yet gave this one a chance at finding his light.
2. Fighting for Harmony by Ash Henry
Caleb Dalton has been asked by his past teammate in Delta Force, coworker at Citadel Securities, and best friend since childhood to head back to their hometown in White Falls to check on his little sister, Harmony, since he’s just gotten a text from another friend saying Harmony has a stalker. Now there’s a couple of problems with Caleb accepting, even though he would do anything for his buddy, but when Caleb left Whit Falls fifteen years ago at the age of eighteen he planned on never going back and Gideon doesn’t know that Caleb has a total infatuation over Harmony and has never gotten her out of his mind. A steamy best friend’s little sister who has a stalker romance that showcases the protective qualities of a trained serviceman and a little sister who can set two protective serviceman straight real quick when she goes after what she wants.
3. Knight Reaper by Donna Michaels
Matteo “Reaper” and Bella “Banshee” Santarelli, both agents for the Knight Agency, have been on desk duty ever since a high speed car chase/shoot-out left them both injured but now they’ve been given orders to appear at the Lawe Ranch to get back in the saddle, so to speak. The Lawe Ranch is owned by brothers Rook and Remy Lawe, both also agents, and is used to train new agents. Matteo and Bella are to undergo testing to see if they are fit to go back into service but on the first night there Bella spots trouble and soon the whole group in involved in taking down some bad guys. This story has Matteo and Bella in some very hot and steamy situations and some dangerous ones too. The bond they shared together was really something special.
4. Chef McHughs Reporting for Duty by Jill Shannon
Adam McHughs always tried to follow his mother’s advice. He joined the Navy in the aviator division and quickly rose to the rank of captain. He also earned himself the nickname of “Monk” because of following her advice. Yet as the story opens he’s headed home to Washington, New Hampshire, leaving his long and decorated career behind because his mom’s health is failing but she’s got a surprise for him and they both are going to get a shock. A story of second chances, male purity, abusive ex, love growing from act of kindness and protecting the one you love.
5. Ghost of Khost by A.J. Layne & Lynessa Layne
Wow! I’m sorry but I can’t find the right words to explain my emotions after reading this true story. I will say that I believe everyone should read this but be prepared to read some very shocking, emotionally strong things. Also I’ve always been proud of our military, or anyone willing to stand up to protect those less able, but after reading this I’m totally in awe as to what extremes many of our brave men and women have been subject to see, do and endure.
6. Twisted by Tamsen Schultz
Waverly Green, ex Air Force, injured during a terrorist attack on the aircraft carrier she was serving on, witnessed something that has put her life in danger. Now running a daycare onsite at HICC, a private security firm, the man out to get her has escaped house arrest putting the children at the daycare at risk. She’s being sent to a secure location with a bodyguard from HICC , Ben Chambers. Ben, ex Army Special Forces operative, misjudges Waverly at first but she rightly judges that he’s suffering from the three most common veteran issues-anger, grief and guilt. These two must find away to coexist in a forced proximity situation while keeping Waverly safe. This one has a few twists that took me by surprise…showing how easily it is to misjudge when you don’t know the facts.
7. Stay the Night by Carisa’s Pineiro
Navy SEAL Rafe Castillo has been married to Elena for five years now while being away the majority of that time serving his country. As he served Elena got her education and now has a great job and has recently purchased them a house. Now he’s on leave headed to her but he’s not sure if he’s headed to THEIR home, if he’s what Elena still wants and she’s not sure he still wants her. This is the story of the emotional story these two go through as they both overcome the challenges of having lived separate lives but deeply love each other.
8. Saving the Soldier by EmKay Connor
Another emotional story that takes the reader into the darkness that Kate and Martin Dennison experienced with the effects of PTSD. Kate has planned the perfect “welcome home” party and is eagerly awaiting the return of her husband of only ten months and she has a big surprise for him. Yet as the hours pass by and he’s not arrived home, she begins to worry, she’s heard that this deployment had been an exceptionally hard one, with several injuries. Finally Martin arrives, but he’s not the same man he was when he left and she’s not sure she can get the man she married back. This is told in Kate’s POV and is a very powerful testimony to the fact that not only do the service personnel suffer but their families along with them.
9. Yours Or Mine by Reina Torres
This is a great “from the ashes come happiness” story. Finnegan Murphy, I loved that name by the way, is suffering from nightmares brought about from his near death experience in the Middle East, he’s also trying to be reunited with the dog, Amin, who saved his life over there. Meanwhile, he’s struggling to work as a handy man at an apartment building when one day a beautiful woman arrives at the building and not only gives him a big surprise but offers him a lifeline.
10. It’s Always Been You by PJ Fiala
Shannon Canning, now a veterinarian, divorced her husband, Harley Jacobs, five years ago because he refused to give up his military career and come work at her brothers’ ranch, Canning Cattle Ranch, for her. Her three brothers run the cattle, horse and wounded veteran recovery ranch in Blossoms Springs, Florida. As fate would have it, Harley having been injured during a deployment is in need of the therapy that only Canning Cattle Ranch can offer him, but will his ex-brother-in-laws and their little sister welcome him there? This is a great second chance romance for humans and horses but it leaves a question as to what was going on with the cows.
11. Saved by Grace by Kennedy L. Mitchell
Wounded, physically and mentally, veteran Rick, spends his days holed up in a crummy apartment and his nights across the street on a barstool staring at the waitress Grace, avoiding people, avoiding life. Grace is hiding from an abusive ex, leaving a beloved career as a nurse finding that tending to a bar and waitressing would be easier to run from if she had to. Yet she craves more and just maybe the quiet moody regular sitting every night at the bar watching her might be the answer. Will Rick be saved by Grace or Grace saved by Rick?Get this steamy redemption story to find out.

I strongly encourage you to buy this anthology because is the good stories, but for a good cause.

Sharon Hamilton
Only You
This is a short novella where Madison’s best friend and Madison’s seal boyfriend get together. Madison is determined to show everyone at the couple’s wedding she could care less. I loved how she handled the situation and met someone at the wedding.

Ash Henry
Fighting for Harmony
Caleb, Harmony, and her brother Gideon used to go all over together in their small town as young children. When Caleb and Gideon left for the military, Harmony showed Caleb that she liked him more than a friend. Gideon made Caleb promise to leave her alone. I know Caleb was nervous about going back to their small town when Gideon asked him to go back as someone was stalking his sister. Boy was the man stalking her crazy! You need to read the book to see what happens.

Donna Michaels
Knight Reaper
Matteo and Bella were married, worked for the same security company, had been in a terrible wreck when the bad guys had been chasing them, and had been on desk duty. I loved how Bella wanted to get back into action, but Matteo was still scared for her. Their boss sent them to Texas for training to make sure they were fit to come back to action. Little did they know they were going to see more action in Texas than they bargained for. It did get exciting!

Jill Shannon
Chef McHughs Reporting for Duty
Adam got out of the Navy to go home as his mother had gotten worse. He was an enigma as he had listened to everything his mother said and obeyed, even in the navy. His mother had surprised him with a gift he could not have imagined. There is where he met Makita who was another surprise.

AJ Layne & Lynessa Layne
Ghost of Khost
This book was depressing to me. I only got through a few chapters and had to quit reading. Mentally I was not in a place to read the book.

Tamsen Schultz
Twisted
This was an exciting book. Waverly and Ben worked for a security firm named HICC. It was crazy the two did not hit it off at first. I think some of that was because they both had issues they had to come to terms with after being in the military. Someone was after Waverly and Ben was tasked to take her to a secluded cabin and keep her safe. I was glad to see the two finally talk and get to know each other better. The most exciting part was yet to come.

Caridad Pineiro
Stay the Night
This was a sweet short story. Rafe and Elena had always loved each other since they were children. What a special love. Since the two were together after graduating high school, Elena became pregnant. The two had a justice of the peace ceremony and off went Rafe to the Navy. I can’t imagine how hard it was to be away from each other with a short time together. I felt bad that they were both afraid the other would not want them. You will love the ending!

EmKay Connor
Saving the Soldier
This book was about Kate and Martin that showed how hard it was for some men to come back home after a bad battle overseas. I loved how Kate had Martin’s family and some of the military families that helped her and her husband.

Reina Torres
Your or Mine
This was an interesting story with Peyton driving to bring Finnegan his dog he had to leave where he got hurt oversees. I can’t imagine what Finnegan went through and especially leaving the dog that saved his life behind. Unbeknownst to Finnegan he had found a job working for Peyton’s uncle who was not the nicest person. Peyton had promised her uncle she would come and help him with the apartment building he had bought. Peyton had no idea what she was getting into to when she got to her uncle’s apartment building. I loved Peyton and how patient she was with both men.

PJ Fiala
It’s Always Been You
It is so sad how being in the military can cause couples to break up. Harley had only known the military, and after a few years Shannon asked him to get out. Neither handled it well as he refused. Five years later, Harley was badly hurt and needs Shannon’s family cattle ranch that helps veterans heal. It broke my heart that Harley thought they wouldn’t take him because of Shannon. You need to read to see what happens between the two.

Kennedy L Mitchell
Saved by Grace
Rick had retired from the military and was lost. He felt he had no where to go or anyone who cared. I was glad he was attracted to Grace who worked at the bar across from his apartment and he went to sit at the bar and watch her. It was even better when some crude guys bothered her and Rick protected her. The ending was a big surprise for me.

Only You by Sharon Hamilton
A spicy little read that only made me hungry for more of their story. I will be impatiently waiting for the next installment of Madison and Garrett’s love story.
Fighting for Harmony by Ash Henry
These two have so much chemistry. There’s sass and snark but there’s also so much deep and abiding love between Caleb and Harmony. I’m also a little hooked by the friends and family and will be watching for books starring the rest of this supporting cast.
Knight Reaper by Donna Michaels
Matteo and Bella stole my heart from the moment this book opened. I adored that this was an already established couple and we got to witness how the pair of them navigated dangerous careers, injuries, and their love for one another. My one-click finger is getting a little itchy to go looking for the rest of this series now.
Chef McHughs Reporting for Duty by Jill Shannon
This was such an unexpected plot line. I LOVED it! Adam and Makita were adorable and I kind of hate how quickly this story was over.
Ghost of Khost by A.J. Layne & Lynessa Layne
This has a grittier writing style than anything else in the book. It also packs one heck of an emotional punch, with quite the sting in its tail (tale?). At the end of this story, I still desperately want to know even more about Vance and Elle.
Twisted by Tamsen Schultz
I think this story may have introduced me to the author and her world, but it definitely won’t be my last foray there. Waverly and Ben pulled me into their story and have made me want to know so much more about the people and places around them.
Stay the Night by Caridad Pineiro
This story was filled with so much emotion. I loved that this had elements of a second chance romance to it, and I just desperately wanted to see Elena and Rafe make it through to the other side of their difficulties.
Saving the Soldier by EmKay Connor
This story tried to rip the heart from my chest. There was just something about Kate and Martin that called to my romantic soul and asked me to feel every one of their tumultuous emotions as they fought for the future of their love and family.
Yours Or Mine by Reina Torres
This was sweet and heartbreaking in equal measure. I’m kind of glad that the story’s told almost backwards so that my poor tender heart didn’t spend the entire time despairing over Peyton and Finnegan.
It’s Always Been You by PJ Fiala
A second chance romance and (I think) the start to a brand new series. One I will be anxiously looking to get my hands on, because I have fallen deeply in love with Harley and Shannon and the whole Canning clan.
Saved by Grace by Kennedy L. Mitchell
This was an incredible story of hope to close the anthology with. I loved Rick and Grace. I loved their relationship and the way they both protected each other. And I adored the conclusion to their story. I will absolutely be looking for more from this, and all the other, authors that participated in the anthology.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.

11 stories, 11 authors all proceeds go to Stop Soldier Suicide. Purchase for their benefit. Please. Some of the stories actually help you learn, and of course break your heart while showing the strength of our Veterans, Soldiers and their families. Most of the 11 stories are extremely steamy. One or two have a few plot lines tying all the steam together. The extreme steams are not my thing, but again purchasing this book is a worthy cause!

Only You - Sharon Hamilton: This one took me aback for a sec with Madison, then it was like, you go girl. I didn't quite grasp Garretts character till towards the end. HEA with Madison and Garrett being each other's savior.

Fighting For Harmony - Ash Henry: Ay the bro code drives me bonkers. Harmony rules in this one! Grabs the bull by the horns so to speak. Caleb also mans up and puts Harmony where she belongs. (new author to me)

Knight Reaper - Donna Michaels: Loved the premise in this one with Matteo and Bella. Working with your spouse in what can be extremely violent takes cajones. Almost losing your wife on a mission where you were driving and then back in the field again. I have no read any of the books in this dual series.

Chef McHughs Reporting for Duty - Jill Shannon: Chef McHughs is a little different take. His mama is the bomb! HEA (New Author to me)

Ghost of Khost - AJ Layne & Lynessa Layne: Wow this one was hard hitting bringing to light a lot. This one also did not have full closure. It was a hard read but necessary. (New Authors to me.)

Twisted- Tasmen Schultz: Ok I am biased, I love her Mystery Lake series with HICC. As like most of these stories in this series, even though we have alpha males, the women rock. Waverly calls it like she see's it. Ben was a butt for awhile, all explained. Great Read

Stay The Night - Caridad Pineiro: The plot moved me, the lessons learned, the emotional impact was great. I would appreciated more plot lines and less steam, but that's my issue.

Saving the Soldier - EmKay Connor: This was another story that really shows the impact on both family and the deployed. I was leary where this one was going and loved the ending. (New Author to me)

Yours or Mine - Reina Torres: Author I read. Loved that this one also brought in canines that our soldiers connect with when deployed. There are groups out there that help to bring them home. Finnegan took a tad for me to warm up to. Peyton had me a page one. Uncle Joe sure needed that call out.

It's Always Been You - PJ Fiala: Author I read. Wounded Warrior physical and emotional. Family. It also points out the shocking failures, rules of the VA. HEA

Saved By Grace - Kennedy Mitchell: The only thing that keeps him going is the bartender across the street. We also get glimpse of homelessness in vets. The ending was great!

This is a wonderful collection of tales from 11 awesome authors, some of whom are new to me. Each book is unique in its own way and they come together beautifully to showcase the trauma and stress our veterans must live with whilst they are deployed and when they leave the military. I really enjoyed this collection and highly recommend it.
Here are a few reviews of some short stories by my favorite authors.

Only You by Sharon Hamilton – Madison is determined to prove to the world that her ex’s wedding to her best friend, hasn’t bothered her in the least. Garret is looking for someone who is strong and able to cope with the demons from his past and present. Their attraction at the wedding reception is explosive and what comes next gives them both a feeling of hope for the future.

Saving the Soldier by EmKay Connor – Martin returns from a deployment where everything went to hell. He isn’t coping with his return to a normal family life and Kate’s surprise that she was pregnant was not well received. Mood swings, depression, nightmares and drinking are only some of the symptoms he and Kate are coping with. When a problem occurs with Kate’s pregnancy, will Martin continue on as he is, or will he get the help he needs. I liked the final chapter.

Yours or Mine by Reina Torres – Finnegan is struggling with PTSD and suffering from nightmares. His employer Jon, is demanding, shouts a lot and doesn’t have much patience with Finn’s problems. When Peyton arrives to help her uncle Jon, she brings acceptance, respect and decides to mediate between the two of them. With the help of the dog Amin, Finnegan and Jon find a way to forgive themselves. This is a lovely story.

It’s Always Been You by PJ Fiala – Harley was injured during his last deployment. When the VA cease paying for his therapy, his doctor recommends that he apply to attend Canning Cattle ranch which caters to injured veterans. Unfortunately, one of the people on the ranch is his ex-wife and the others are his ex- brothers in law. When Shannon is told that Harley has been injured, she isn’t sure if she wants to run to him or from him. Her emotions are all over the place. What follows Harley’s arrival at the ranch is a beautiful tale of second chances. I enjoyed the scene with the reptiles!

An 11 story anthology to help spread the word about military suicide. These are all small short novels from wonderful authors. If you don’t have time to read the entire book, read one story at a time, worth the time and money to see some of the struggles that these authors portray helping us to understand just a glimmer of what our military men and women face each and every day!
Only You (Sharon Hamilton)
Madison is bound and determined to pick up the pieces of her heart and carry them with her head held high, while attending her ex’s wedding, to her best friend. Garrett didn’t know what to expect going to his teammate’s wedding but it sure wasn’t Madison! With demons haunting Garrett, he knew he needed to find a strong woman and seeing Madison with her head up, may just be the person he is looking for.
It’s Always Been You (PJ Fiala)
After an injury, Harley is forced to retire from the Army and found himself at a cattle ranch to help with his therapy, he just didn’t know it belonged to his ex-wife’s family. Shannon couldn’t take it anymore and gave Harley an ultimatium, me or the army….well she didn’t win but she couldn’t stay. Five years later, when Harley showed up at the family ranch, they both realized that their feelings have not changed, they are still so much in love with one another. Can they pick up where they left off?
Saved by Grace (Kennedy L Mitchell)
Rick retired from the military and like most, he doesn’t know where to go afterwards, he is lost to the new way of life and no one to help guide him. The bar across the street from his apartment seems to be the only place he wants to be and not because it is a bar but because of the bartender that works there, Grace. He craves to see her and she feels safer with him around. Grace is running from an ex so when Rick becomes protective of her she finally begins to open not only her eyes but her heart.
I have only written about a handful of the stories, but the others are just as good! Now, if they would just hurry up and release the book of each of these! Amazing job to each of the authors!.

I love to read stories about the Military. The stories I read am not familiar with, but I assume it's a prelude to the whole book when it comes out. I received this arc from Sharon Hamilton and read her story about Garrett and Madison. She was jilted by her ex Carter who married her best friend. Madison met Garrett a seal from her ex's team. Let's say it was steamy. Donna Michael's book was about Knight Reaper, Matteo and his wife Bella, both prior military. Both were injured on a mission. Reina Torres, Where We Are, Peyton and Finnegan, he was injured on a mission and a lot of his friends died. Finally, P.J. Fiala, It's Always Been You. A lot of heartbreak and misunderstandings in this story. Harley and Shannon. They were married, but she gave him an ultimatum, leave the service and be with her, they ended up in a divorce, HEA for them, but the story isn't done yet. I forget these anthologies are preludes to A longer book to come out. I I love to read stories about the Military. This is an eleven-story anthology by various authors to help prevent veteran suicide by addressing underlying issues like PTSD and difficulties readjusting to civilian life...all worth reading but highlights include Only You by Sharon Hamilton about Madison and Navy SEAL Garrett at wedding of her former SEAL boyfriend and former best friend...both seeing that pairing of Madison and Garrett much better fit than prior relationships as they calmed each other's fears of the future...Another tale was Knight Reaper where two veterans were married and now worked for a security agency, but after wreck where almost lost his wife Bella, Mateo was reluctant to return to field as developed PTSD...but after months as radio backup, went to retraining trip in Texas, discovering a terrorist cell infiltrating area and both back to active duty and no problems with PTSD...then comes Saving the Soldier by Emily Connor where newlyweds Kate and Martin separated for a devastating deployment where several of his friends killed or maimed and their fight to get back to a normal relationship conquering his PTSD...and another is Always Been You by PJ Fiala about an older officer who suffered a severe battlefield injury. Harley is referred to physical therapist at ranch setting by his VA doctor, but the caveat is the ranch is run by the three brothers of his ex-wife Shannon in Blossom Springs FL, but will this get the two who never fell out of love back together...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

What a great cause to support through the purchase of the anthology (which I have done even though I am reading it now as an ARC) Our Heros need the support and honor they so deserve! Only You by Sharon Hamilton starts this anthology off with a bang! Garett and Madison meet at the wedding of her ex to her best friend. Madison is dressed to be seen and show her ex what he lost, even if she has no desire to be with him again. Garett has seen her at team gatherings when she was with her ex and he knows she is the one to help him fight his demons and his to protect. Ash Henry is next with Protecting Harmony. Caleb has been in love with his best friends sister since she kissed him the night before he headed to boot camp. But her brother made him promise to stay away. 15 years later and Harmony has a stalker and since her brother has an assignment he asks Caleb to go protect her. Caleb owes his best friend his life so he tries to ignore the pull towards Harmony but she is strong, stubborn, and has loved him all this time. First deal with the stalker, second make her brother realize Harmony and Caleb belong together!.

The book I am reviewing for this anthhology is Yours or Mine by Reina Torres. Finnegan is convinced that he is not good for anything. All he wants is to sleep. Every time he closes his eyes, he has nightmares about the career ending injury that threw his life into chaos. He lost more than his career that fateful day. The puppy he adopted was left behind when he was shipped to the hospital and then back home. He is struggling to cope with everything. His boss is constantly on his case. Peyton has promised to come to Texas to help her uncle with his apartment complex. She has a little passenger with her in the form of a puppy, who is going to make a soldier very happy...if she can find him. They each get a surprise when they unexpectedly meet at Peyton's uncle's complex. Finn is overwhelmed when he sees the puppy he adopted. He is feeling so down and depressed, he doesn't think he deserves the puppy. It's up to Peyton to sort out the discord between her uncle and Finn. Will she succeed? Get this book ASAP and find out. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

This is a great collection of stories about our veterans and the problems they face during deployment and coming home.

Only you by Sharon Hamilton is about Madison who's trying to hold it together as her best friend is marrying her ex. Garrett is looking for someone who can cope with what he's going thru and the darkness in him. When they meet he find that in Madison and thinks just maybe they can have an HEA.

Yours and Mine by Reina Torres Finnegan takes a job at an apartment complex and his boss Jon is one nasty dude yelling and belittling him and making his PTSD worse then before. When Peyton comes to help her uncle she meets Finnegan and works at getting her uncle to understand what's going on. With her help they finally all get a happy ending.

It's Always Been You by PJ Fiala Harley is out of the Army due to an injury and the VA has done all they can for him so his doctor sends him to the Canning Cattle Ranch for help but, the ranch is own by his ex wife's brother and her. There's heartbreak and misunderstanding but there's still feeling for his wife after 5 years. Can they forgive each other to get their HEA.

I've read thee of the stories so far and will eventually work my way through this book.

Only You by Sharon Hamilton - I wasn't quite sure what to think about Madison and her plan to bag another SEAL while attending her best friend's wedding to the man she used to date. Little does she know that Garrett has had his eye on her and had planned to use the wedding to show him why they need to become couple. I hope this novella becomes a full-blown story because there is so much more I want to know about the new couple.

Ghost of Khost by A.J. Layne & Lynessa Layne - Vance has PTSD as well as survivor's remorse and we are really exposed to some of the feelings that many of our warriors unfortunately live with on a daily basis. For Vance, he begins to trust and lean on Elle as she helps with this recovery.

Twisted by Tamsen Schultz - This is my first time reading something by this author, but I will be seeking more of her works in the future. Now that I have a taste of Waverly and Ben's story, I hope it will be expanded into a book.

Only You by Sharon Hamilton – This story is by one of my favorite authors and is really a quick read and full of how meeting the right person at the right time leads to a future full of love and support from each other. Madison is determined to prove to the everyone that her ex’s wedding to her best friend, is ok and she is not bothered in the least by these two getting married. Garret is looking for someone who will help him to cope with the demons from his past and present.

It’s Always Been You by PJ Fiala – I have never read this author before but will now pick up her books. This book tells a beautiful story of second chances. I love that reading about the Canning Cattle ranch and what happens there for injured veterans. Harley was injured during his last deployment. Unfortunately, it has his ex-wife and brothers-in-laws there at the Ranch. Great tale.
Saved by Grace, by Kennedy L. Mitchell was a fantastic short read about how two seemingly broken individuals are able to be whole when paired together.

This is a great collection of stories showcasing military men and women, both active and retired, as well as the challenges they face when returning to civilian life.

It Always Been You by P J Fiala
This is a sweet second chance romance involving Harley, a disabled veteran, and Shannon, his ex-wife. He is need of physical therapy and her family's ranch provides services to disabled vets. The only question is can he swallow his pride to get the help he needs, and possibly a chance at happiness.

Knight Reaper by Donna Michaels
Matteo and Bella suffered injuries on a case and have been on desk duty since. They are sent to Texas to a training facility to be tested to see if they can return to the field. Little do they expect what awaits them in this action packed and steamy story.

Only You by Sharon Hamilton
Madison has only herself to blame for introducing her ex-boyfriend to her best friend. Now she wants revenge as they are getting married. But is she ready for the Adonis she meets at the wedding?

Strength and Honor is an anthology put together to support Stop Soldier Suicide. Only You is Sharon Hamilton’s contribution and it is great! Madison is on her way to her ex boyfriend and best friend’s wedding. She has decided that the best way to handle this situation is to dress up and knock the socks off her ex showing him that she has moved on. Garrett is on her ex’s SEAL team and the chemistry between them is sizzling. The two of them are in need of some healing and they are perfect for each other. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two!
Fighting for Harmony is another selection in the anthology which pulls you in. Caleb works with former military buddy Gideon for Citadel Security. When Gideon’s sister Harmony is having issues with a stalker Caleb is called in to protect her. Gideon is Leary about heading back to White Hope Montana. He does not have great memories from his life after his mom died. Harmony was one bright spot but she was off limits!
So far this is a great anthology!

Only You – Sharon Hamilton
For a novella, this story is intense. Meet Madison and Garrett, two people who find their soulmates in each other, someone who truly understands them. Looking forward to reading their story.
Saved by Grace – Kennedy L Mitchell
Grace is on the run from an abusive lover. The only comfort she receives in her life now is when Rick, the soldier left behind when the Navy was through with him comes into the bar she tends. She finds a different type of comfort when he protects her from unwanted advances from some of the bar’s clientele.
It’s Always Been You – PJ Fiala
Even though they have been divorced for 5 years, Shannon and Harley have never moved on with their lives. After an injury derails Harley’s military career, he has been sent to a rehabilitation ranch being run by Shannon’s family where they discover they still love each other and belong together.

Love this anthology.

Each of these short stories is about something different that veterans face maybe while still in the service or after they get out and deal with the after affects of fighting war. Whether they are dealing with a disability, PTSD, or just not knowing what to do when retired and no longer have the structure of the military any more. Each veteran reacts differently to why they leave the service and a lot of them don't know where to go for the help they need or have the support they need from family and friends. Most of us don't realize how deep their depression or whatever it is or don't know how to help them.

All it must but take is a kind word or offer to help from someone that might give them the first step to getting help. Maybe just a smile from a stranger at the right time to make them feel seen is all it takes. Don't judge how they act or live because you don't know the whole story. BE KIND TO EVERYONE YOU SEE. It could be the difference.

Only You – Not only has Madison been betrayed by those she should have been able to trust she finds herself attending their wedding. It is there she meets Garrett, a fellow Navy SEAL who will show her that it might just have been the best thing to ever happen to her.

It's Always Been You - Harley’s military career has always been a vital part of his life and it cost him his marriage in the process. Years later when an injury ends his career it also leads him to the ranch owned by Shannon and her brothers, and it might not just help him heal but win back the woman he has never stopped loving.

Saved By Grace – Rick is struggling as he tries to adjust to civilian life, but the one bright spot is Grace who is a bartender at the pub he frequents. Grace is trying to stay ahead of her past and he is there when she needs someone the most.

This is a wonderful collection of short stories that highlight the challenges these men and families face both while serving and after their service ends.

This anthology, written to give assistance to combat military suicide, is filled with wonderful stories.

Only You, by Sharon Hamilton, was a quick read about redemption over vengeance. Madison felt lost after losing her boyfriend to her best friend, but found redemption after realizing that vengeance would not give her what she needed. I would love to see this short story fleshed out to a longer work.

Saving the Soldier, by EmKay Connor, was a heart wrenching story. This story showed some of the darker sides of military life. After deploying many soldiers return home troubled and it is often not spoken about the families they are coming home to.

Saved by Grace, by Kennedy L. Mitchell was a fantastic short read about how two seemingly broken individuals are able to be whole when paired together.

Strength & Honor contains eleven heartfelt, moving and at times tragic stories, that outline the silent suffering of our men and women returning from the frontline. All proceeds from the sale of this collection will hopefully benefit those endeavouring to Stop Soldier Suicide. So please, purchase your copy to aid in this ongoing fight save our soldiers when they return home.

While all the stories have a deep and profound impact, here are just a few that I’ve read so far:

Only You by Sharon Hamilton: Ms Hamilton always lands on my must-read list and this story was true account of two people fighting their demons and saving each other. I liked Madison and Garrett, and their story was touching and meaningful.

Knight Reaper by Donna Michaels: Matteo and Bella’s story is riveting and captivating, yet the underlying message is heartbreaking and intense. Ms Michaels never disappoints, and Knight Reaper is no exception.

Stay the Night by Caridad Pineiro: This story was exceptionally moving, with a strong emotional impact that left me gasping for air. A truly heartfelt story with plenty of steam for those of us who like our stories HOT!

I saw this ARC with some of my favorite authors and grabbed the review copy right away and was so glad that I did.

The authors chose a cause that is important and I am glad to support as well.

Loved that some of my favorite characters were back and my absolute favorite was from Grinch Reaper - Matteo and Isabella. The book with the dog was pretty good as well.

No matter what you are looking for - this collection has a bit of it all - animal/romance, where are they now story, rebound story, etc.

The other stories were pretty good as well so it is well worth the price - you are supporting a great cause and get some excellent books! This book kept me entertained over the holiday weekend so I am happy to recommend it.

Each of these stories are reminders of the bravery of the men and women in the military.
Whether still active or retired, the effects of war are real.
When they return they are frequently not only suffering from physical wounds, but also from emotional and psychological ones.
Having experienced devastation around the world, taking a life, losing comrades in the fight etc are things that will affect each and every one of them.
As individuals as well as a society, we have to do more for them by providing support and services to help cope with the PTSD and to avoid suicide.
Thank you to these authors for taking the initiative and reminding us of these issues.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Booksprout. The opinions are solely my own.
