Nothing about an orthopedic surgeon is average.

In fact, we actively strive to be the opposite of that word. And somehow, that’s exactly what I am, because I failed at the one thing every average person succeeds Marriage.

The day divorce papers land in my hands, I vow to bury my failure beneath layers of work as I prepare to begin my surgical fellowship. The hospital becomes my refuge, my home, and the last place I’d ever expect to find romance.

But there’s this tiny spitfire of a nurse who just won’t leave my mind. She’s vibrant, playful, and a complete disruption of energy that I never saw coming. Despite my intentions to keep things strictly professional, we blur the lines under the guise of “friendship.”

That is until a Las Vegas bachelor party for our coworker, Dr. Parker Winters, turns my whole world upside down. Blame it on the neon lights or a few too many margaritas, but I wake up with more than a hangover—I wake up with a wife.

With a second chance at love, I’m ready to bet everything on us. Because this time, settling for average isn’t an option. This time, I’m all in.

As nurse, I steer clear of all medical romances but Lexie Woods incorporates the realities of our career with a fun and intriguing plot! I also want to say that this is Lexie's best work to date! I absolutely devoured Walker and Morgan's story and I think you will too!

You first meet Morgan in Dr. Resident and she's a little spitfire. I immediately loved her personality. And you first meet Walker in Dr. Intern and he's struggling. His marriage is in trouble and you can tell he's just down bad. But at the end of Dr. Intern you can tell there is this undeniable chemistry between Walker and Morgan but you never see how that materializes until Dr. Fellow. And let me tell you something, the banter between Walker and Morgan is top notch! I absolutely loved Morgan's one liners and witty comebacks to Walker.

I loved the progression of their relationship. I loved how they initially had a spark but that fizzled and that they have been mutually pining for each other. But with Walker coming out of a divorce and Morgan's inability to be vulnerable and negative thoughts of relationships, these two had to navigate uncharted waters with each other. But they way these two showed very vulnerable sides of themselves to each other was so beautiful. So I loved how their relationship progressed from friends w/ benefits to oops we woke up in Vegas and I think we got married to I want a divorce to I love you and you are my person.

I loved Walker. This man was pure perfection. The fact that Morgan told him to read a dark romance book and he DID was amazing! And the fact that that book made him want to explore the things he read in real life was even better. Dare I say I am jealous of a fictional FMC... and then he took her to a BOOKSTORE for their first date... like come on! I also loved all of his nicknames: Walkie Talkie and Walker boo-boo were my favorites.

I also want to touch base on the realities of healthcare that was touched on in this book. One of the main ones is the topic of divorce among healthcare employees and their spouses. How being able to relate to our stress and job is different for those who are not in healthcare. And really how physicians dedicate their lives to their career, specifically during residency which can be hard on the spouse. But also just the realities of a nurse as well. I loved how Lexie touched on short staffing, the after effects of the pandemic, how we are treated by co-workers, patients and administration and lastly how the trauma and death we experience on a daily basis effects us all at in different ways and in very different moments/time periods in our lives. So thank you Lexie for humanizing us. And I hope for anyone who reads this book, the next time you or a loved on are in the hospital you realize we are doing our best with what we are dealt and will give us grace. So yeah I just truly love and appreciate the realities of what it is like to work in healthcare that Lexie sprinkled in.

If you couldn't tell, then yes I do recommend this book! It was so good and I loved everything about it! So if you are looking to dabble into medical romance or are looking for a kinky romance between a doctor and nurse, this one is for you! Add it to your TBR and you can thank me later!

♠️ Dr. Fellow reread via my ear holes♠️
Duet Narration by JF Harding by Maxine Mitchell

Welp, my original review of this book still stands true. Dr. Fellow is my favorite in the series. This is my favorite couple. Walkie Talkie boo-boo is still my favorite fictional ortho bro. And to reread this book in audio was pure perfection. JF Harding's voice acting was phenomenal for Walker. He was able to perfectly execute Walker's dry tone and grumpy nature. Maxine performed Morgan well but thought she captured Claire (the FMC in Dr. Intern) perfectly.

Reliving this book through my ear holes was everything I never knew I needed. Morgan and Walker have amazing banter and that translated through the audio narration. And don't even get me started with the spice. Holy hell. Walker has a filthy mouth on him and to hear it in audio had me gagged!

As I mentioned above, this one is nurse approved. And you shouldn't take that lightly because I don't recommend medical romances because I think they mostly garbage. But Lexie accurately portrays what it is like to work as a healthcare provider while also delivering the humor that healthcare providers have while balancing the real life struggles we face. And that kinky spice 🥵

You should most definitely add this one to your TBR if you like:
- Medical Romances
- Doctor x Nurse
- Friends w/ Benefits
- Accidental Vegas Wedding
- Workplace Romance
- Found Family
- Kink Exploration

*ARC* Review Dr Fellow by Lexie Woods

Unreal. This book was seriously unreal. Lexie blew it out of the park with this one. Morgan and Walker— literal perfection. She does such an amazing job writing medical romance, the nursing/ medical profession is raw, real and intense a lot of the time and Lexie captures all those feelings & emotions perfectly.

Morgan, the FMC, is a little spitfire who has an incredibly spicey personality and I totally want to be her best friend in real life. 😅 She is a badass nurse that isn’t afraid to speak her mind, she loves her friends fiercely, she takes shit from no one and she loves herself a good margarita.

Walker, the MMC, is an ortho surgeon about to enter his fellowship. He starts off as a little bit of a mystery and closed off, but as the story unfolds we learn why Walker is the way he is and he begins to open up and boy do we learn to love him and his dominant self 🥵

The banter between them is TOP TIER. SO DAMN GOOD. The friendship and trust that forms between the two of them leads to a friends with benefits situation and we all know how that usually goes 🙃. They grow, develop and explore 😉 as a couple in and out of the bedroom. After an accidental marriage situation during a friend’s bachelorette party the two have to decide is this really what they want? And man oh man was I rooting for them the whole time 👏🏼

Thank you so much @lexiewoods and @lunaliterary for the opportunity to read this as an ARC for my honest thoughts and review.

ALC REREAD-
I DIDNT THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO LOVE THEM MORE BUT HERE TF WE ARE
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

I first read a Lexie Woods novel because of a random Tiktok talking about how steamy Dr. Resident was and that it was Grey’s Anatomy in book form. I remember starting it on a ferry ride home from a Kraken game and thinking “what a fun and twisted lil mind this girl has”. Almost a year later and I couldn’t be more honored and proud to ARC read for the third novel in the Midtown Memorial series but not only that- to consider the author a true friend 🩵

Morgan Lovett has been a staple throughout the Midtown Memorial series. We met her as Cassidy’s best friend and again welcoming Claire into the foray with the trio bonding over margaritas. There is so much spice in such a little body and I just knew her love story would pack the same amount of heat. Walker Chastain on the other hand has been a little bit more of an enigma. When he was introduced as the soon to be divorced mentor of Beau my spidey senses were tingling.

These two had instant fireworks. The tension was palpable and I knew when they both finally gave in to each other and lowered their inhibitions the heat would be at an all time high. The dynamic between Morgan and Walker as friends and as lovers was nothing that I have read before. I really resonated with Morgan as being the loud friend- the friend that will say what everyone else is thinking regardless of the repercussions of it. Seeing this independent and strong-willed woman slowly start to grow, take responsibility and rely on those around her hit home in a way I wasn’t expecting.

This book was like Grey’s Anatomy reincarnated. It had the hospital setting with just the right amount of explanation of medical procedures and guidelines while still maintaining the relationships and drama that we know and love. Knowing the tropes, I thought I had an idea of where this book would take me but it honestly did a 180 and I was left in absolute shock at the end- in the best way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♾️

This book is absolutely my new roman empire. I cannot get it out of my head and I don’t think I ever will. I am so honored to be part of this journey.

I am loving this series and so sad there’s only one more to go!!! It’s like greys anatomy on steroids with super spice and great characters! I love that ask the characters in all the books are connected, can’t wait for the final book, but at the same time I don’t want it to end!

First of all, the tropes of this book were so misleading.
I went into this thinking that it was an accidental marriage, but they didn't get married until 64% of the book. And in the end, it turns out they didn't get married at all–it was their friends who did.

Secondly, it was all about the smut in this book.
There was not a single genuine conversation between the characters, no character development just a whole lot of kinky smut scenes and too much hospital information which I was not here for. I mean I appreciated seeing a side of the medical field and how difficult the job is for those who work in it but I don't think it should have covered so much of the book.

Everything felt like instant love to me, and while I initially liked Walker, by the end, I was cringing at everything he said because I didn't feel any connection. I also wasn't a big fan of Morgan. Even the friendships felt forced and strange to me.

I started this book with a lot of optimism and I genuinely like the author's writing, but the pacing of the whole book felt off to me. There were parts I liked, and if the author had delivered on the tropes, I would have loved this book. Walker and Morgan could have made an amazing couple, but I never felt a genuine growth or connection in their relationship.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Paging Dr. Walker Chastain. Helloooo, this book was 🔥 I was in the biggest reading slump and this book got me right out of it! Once again, Lexie’s writing just sucks you in and next thing you know it’s past midnight and you need to go to sleep.

Morgan was such a fun character and you can’t help but love her. Seeing glimpses of her in the first two books were great, so I was excited to finally really get to know her. I especially loved how she was a fellow reader — her discussion with her friends about romance tropes was too funny, not to mention their group chat name 🤭 And then you have Walker who took her to a bookstore on their first date! Is he not the most perfect man or what?!

The depth in this book and the characters’ internal struggles made it feel so real and relatable. And as with Lexie’s other books, she touches on the realities of healthcare and what it’s like to be a physician and an RN in today’s society. The scene in the ER gave me chills when I read it.

I would also like to give an honorable mention to Lexie for including Nerd gummy clusters in this book. It was actually her who told me to try the “blue ones” and now I’m addicted to them 🤪

Thank you so much to Lexie Woods and Luna Literary for this ARC and letting me be a part of your content team!

MORGAN AND WALKER SUPREMACY!!! This is the third book in the Midtown Memorial series and by far my favorite one!

This book hit every single check box for me. The writing & plot were so good, the spice was phenomenal, the kink exploration truly was chef’s kiss (swipe for a NSFW quote 🤪), and the characters were relatable and showed growth. Morgan… Morgan is me and I am her. Minus the badass ER nurse aspect. But for real, I loved her character so much. And each time we got Walker’s POV, I just loved him more and more. 😍

What to expect:
• medical romance
• orthopedic surgeon x ER nurse
• friends with benefits
• accidental Vegas wedding
• kink exploration
• he falls first
• “my wife”
• he has a secret tattoo for her
• found family
• epic girl squad #teamdaddies 📱

This was not an accidental marriage. By any means. So I'm disappointed on that aspect because it's one of my favorite tropes.

The writing, as always, was so good. The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life. I'm not sure if Lexie Woods has a medical background or she's really done her homework, but the medical aspects of all the books are so well done.

I always love when couples from other books have a role in the next book because we get to see their stories unfold a little more along the way as well.

I received an ARC but all thoughts are my own.

Lexie always does such a great job at writing medical romances and you can tell the series is written by someone in the field. A hospital is filled with both happy days, and horrible days and Lexie does a great job of showing that. Doctors and Nurses are people too, people who are underappreciated these days. Before I continue my review, THANK YOU to all the medical staff out there doing their best these days.

I couldn't wait to learn more about super tall and mysterious Walker! And whew, I was not disappointed. This man has a mouth on him! And of course Morgan. I couldn't wait to see what type of man it would take to wrangle this woman. Turns out, it's an Ortho Bro. What I loved about Morgan is that yes, she does come across as rough or maybe angry. But guess what, that's OK! It's OK for an FMC not to be happy go lucky. It takes all types of characters to make the romance world go round. And without her personality/attitude at the start of the book, we wouldn't have her growth during the story. I'm sure a lot of us ladies can relate to someone who thinks their BFF is dating someone who's not good enough for them. And sometimes those internal thoughts just pop right on out. It just helps make the relationship between Morgan and Cassidy feel legit.

When it comes to the spice, I love that Walker does his research into the kink community. It seems like in most books, one of the characters just already knows everything about kink and how it all works. I really enjoyed watching them learn about it together. I loved that Walker looked up everything he could find, that he reached out to a past contact to ask for advice. Plus it was great to see a MMC end a scene. I'm not sure I've read another book where it's HIM who ends a scene based on how he's feeling in the moment. And shout out to Lexie for making sure Walker mentions adjusting positions and situations because of the height difference between the two characters!

As far as the story, I loved it! Lexie did a good job of taking a typical trope (Married in Vegas) and making it her own with a few little twists and turns. I liked watching both MCs open up to each other. I loved the fact Walker saw a therapist. I enjoyed the moments between all the characters, especially when Parker and Morgan finally had a little chat.

BUT THAT ENDING. I'm beyond hyped for the next book. The author did a great job of laying the ground work for Book 4 without it taking over Dr. Fellow.

Excuse me, but WHY did y’all not pressure me more to read this series?? This was my first book by Lexie (I know, I am an odd ball and read series out of order), but WOW!!!! Obsessed is an understatement.

Morgan and Walker fit together perfectly and I loved how patient Walker was. Morgan was such a hilarious FMC and such a spitfire - she says exactly what was on her mind and I loved her so much! That mixed with Walkers *exploration* side was chefs kiss. 👩🏻‍🍳💋🪝. Lexie Woods knows how to write a top tier man because when I tell you she delivered with Walker, SHE DELIVERED.

ALSO, the spice in this book is truly immaculate. The D/S exploration was SO HOT!!! Did I find myself looking up EVERYTHING - yes. Did I also find myself adding things to my own wishlist - also yes.

Lexie Woods is a nurse like Morgan, so it was refreshing to see how the medical field is from their perspective. This is such an underrated series and I cannot wait to go baxk to the beginning and read Dr. Resident and Dr. Intern🤩.

Doctor Fellow was hot, commanding, and addictive from start to finish!

Walker might be new to the professional Dom world, but he slips into the role like a natural — confident, controlled, and absolutely time enough for Morgan. Their chemistry doesn’t just spark; it detonates, fueled by years of unresolved tension from that one unforgettable night.

Morgan is a headstrong, brilliant, bratty nurse who fights her feelings just as hard as she gives in to them. Watching these two collide — emotionally and physically — is half the fun. Their dynamic is messy, fiery, and incredibly satisfying.

This is the kind of spicy medical romance that keeps you glued to the pages, rooting for both the heat and the heart. Loved it!

LEXXXIEEEEE. DAMN IT WOMAN. WHAT THE F DID I JUST READ. Thank you for the gift that keeps on giving, which are hot, kinky AF fictional doctors with dirty dirty mouths and huge d!cks. THE WORLD THANKS YOU. I inhaled this book in 5 hours. So obviously I need to go back and reread the entire series again.

I didn’t think it could be done, making me love a fictional doctor more than sweet, kinky Beau Buffington but OH MY GAWD. Dr. Walker Chastain with his grumpy brooding and his tattoos and his general devotion to female pleasure. I’m a goner. Done. Dead. RIP ME.

Walker is done with love and relationships after his ex wife has an affair and divorces him. Poor sad Walker. But he goes to therapy! Works on his coping strategies! But he struggles with making solid friendships and relationships, as he’s been completely devoted to work throughout his residency. Enter Morgan. He falls. HARD. And she’s all about a FWB situation, after deciding that marriage and long term relationships aren’t for her after her own parents’ divorce. Until they head to Vegas for their friends’ bachelor/bachelorette party and they WAKE UP MARRIED IN VEGAS!!! Top tier troping at its best.

This book has insane spice with legit character development and growth. Lexie had me gripped from page 1 and I completely fell in love with Walker and Morgan. Wes from book 1 makes an appearance and she leaves you on a cliffhanger for his book in the epilogue! I can’t wait for his story coming up next year. If you’re looking for an angsty but hot read with a robust cast of characters (but make it medical!), this is the one for you!!

My Thoughts:
Dr. Fellow is my favorite book in this series so far. This is book three in the series and follows Morgan and Walker. Walker is newly divorced and has sworn off relationships, but after meeting Morgan, he can't seem to get the "little devil" out of his mind.

Morgan and Walker are the perfect match. Morgan is a badass nurse with a fun and sassy personality. She is quick-witted, and her comebacks were epic. She has no problem challenging anyone, especially Walker. Walker is an orthopedic surgeon preparing to start his fellowship. This man is the perfect book boyfriend. He initially seems a little closed off and a lot broody, but as we learn more about his past, we begin to understand why he is the way he is.

These two had amazing chemistry, and the tension between them was palpable. I couldn't wait for them to finally give in to each other. Let me tell you, when they finally did, it was HOT. The spice was spicin' in this book. The mouth on this man! MY GOODNESS! There is so much to love about this book - the Vegas experience, the first "my wife" moment, Walker reading books recommended by Morgan, the bookstore date, the kink exploration, and the amazing friend group.

Dr. Fellow gave me all the Grey's Anatomy vibes and made me nostalgic about my time in Atlanta. I loved being able to recognize street names and landmarks, especially Flip Flops. That place was an experience! IYKYK. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more about the Midtown Memorial crew.

Narration:
Maxine Mitchell and J.F. Harding performed this audiobook in duet, and I loved every second of it. They were the perfect voices for Morgan and Walker, and really brought the characters to life. Maxine and J.F. brought the emotion, banter, and the heat. Hearing that first "my wife" made me so giddy. It was fun having Morgan, Walker, and their shenanigans in my ears.

Thanks to Lexie Woods, Luna Literary Management, and Blue Nose Audio for the review opportunity. Opinions expressed are my own.

OK, I'm done reading it (obviously otherwise I wouldn't have written the review and you wouldn't read it yet) and I don't know where to start...
This book is a lot about Cassidy and Parker's wedding. And the fact that Morgan hates all physicians. So she hates Parker. She sees when Cass and Parker have problems but she doesn't see the good times they have. So, another reason to hate him...
The only one she doesn't hate is Beau. He is just too "lazy" 🤣 and then there is Walker...

Morgan and Walker are just perfect. I'm not sure if I know a couple that's so perfect for each other than these two.
Their banter is so funny and they are so 🔥 for each other 🙈
Walker is broken. He feels like a loser. A loser who couldn't even hold his wife because he was not only married to her but also to his work.
The "thing" between him and Morgan already started in book 2, during Cassidy and Parker's engagement party. But as I said, his marriage just failed and even though he feels this huge connection with Morgan, he just can't.
And Morgan doesn't believe in love because of her parents. So it's very tricky. But hey, at least there is this funny thing called "friends with benefits", right? 😎 And there is so much k!nk! they experience together because neither of them has been into it before. Except for the 🌶️ books Morgan reads 😉 So be aware if you suggest one if your k!nk! books to a man 😎

If you haven't read book 1 and 2 yet, you should, not just that they are so good, but you also would miss a few things that are talked about in this book. For example the little "cliffhanger" after book 2. And honestly, I'm not sure if Lexie Woods wants to kid us readers, but the cliffhanger continues 😱 It's not in direct connection with the couples, so you won't miss anything, but you just know, there has to come another book 😁 and I can't wait for it 🤩

4.75⭐️. Lexie absolutely gave it all in this book and I couldn't love it more! The way she showcases the struggles of being a nurse and working in healthcare are so raw and real and they definitely hit home.

I didn't think I could love any of the MMCs in this series more than Beau, but Walker definitely has him beat! Having recently been divorced, Walker was set to swear off love and marriage forever, however a certain little devil seems to be stuck on his mind since sharing a heated moment on NYE. Morgan swears she does not want a relationship at all, but she's more than agreeable to a friends with benefits situation to give into the obvious tension and chemistry between them.

The two of them fit so perfectly together and Walker might be the most patient man ever! And when I say the spice in this book is delicious, I mean DELICIOUS! The amount of spice and the kink in those scenes is definitely hot AF. His filthy mouth is absolutely perfect and I loved everything about it! That first "my wife" moment had me screaming and swooning!

That ending she leaves us with definitely had me screaming and I cannot wait to see what comes next for Lexie!!

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of Dr. Fellow last week, and let me tell you, I think Morgan and Walker are my favorite couple of the Midtown Memorial series. Walker has the patience of a Saint, and Morgan, well she likes to push all his buttons. The playful tension and banter between these two.. next level 😮‍💨

Morgan and Walker work together at the hospital and as their friendship forms, they decide to reap some benefits of this new found friendship. The growth they have in and outside of their relationship was really awesome to read. They both have been through some shit, and reading them becoming vulnerable with each other in ways they hadn’t before was perfect.

As a nurse, I loved that Lexie wrote about some of the struggles of those who work in the medical field. From divorce among healthcare workers, short staffing, the pandemic, patients abusing staff and many other things, I really appreciate her shedding some light on struggles that we deal with.

I highly recommend Dr. Fellow, and the whole Midtown Memorial series!

this may just be the kinkiest book i’ve read so far and it was definitely… *giggles incoherently* interesting!!! but i’m gonna sit here and act like i wasn’t affected at all by the sheer level of spice in here (i’m giggling even though some of the stuff was def questionable bc overall it was hot). i loved the trust that morgan and walker shared in order to explore new interests together, including walker’s insistence on the importance of consent (yas king) i also liked how each of them were dedicated and knowledgeable about their respective jobs… that’s really admirable.

it was a really quick and entertaining read for me, (especially bc i’m just such a medical know-it-all now that i’m a greys anatomy girl) and i recommend it for anyone wanting a really fast paced read with some hardcore smut and a sprinkle of plot on the side.

don’t get me wrong, sometimes that’s exactly what we need, but while i was reading it, i was more in the mood for character growth and slow burn so it wasn’t as fulfilling for me in the moment. because of that, id definitely say it’s a book you need to be in a certain mood for!

regardless, thank you so much for this arc opportunity <3

I did not love Morgan at first, but did Lexie make me fall in absolute love with her. She is tough, determined, fiercely independent, and has the biggest heart - I think a lot of nurses/healthcare staff have similar qualities.

Walker was beyond words. He went to therapy and worked through his shit! Like are you kidding me? I found that so incredibly hot in itself. Because of the trauma he suffered, he knew how to see that in others and that is such a great quality to have. He was willing to try new things and take risks because of his feelings for Morgan and I love them as a couple!

I could not get enough of the two of them together. I loved that they actually communicated to each other like grown ups and respected each other enough to be open and honest about their feelings. Walker knew just want Morgan needed and was always patient with her. They both had past trauma that the other helped them see past and realize that history does not always repeat itself.

And the spice?? Holy crap! Unbelievably hot!

This book was incredible and I cannot wait for book 4!

Well Lexie has done it again! First there was Parker (who I loved) then there was Beau (if possible loved him a little bit more) AND THEN THERE IS WALKER!!!!! OMG!!!!
Let’s be honest after the cliffhanger (still couldn’t get over it) in the intern I needed more! Walker and Morgan did not disappoint! Have loved Morgan since The Resident and wanted and needed to know more and Lexie’s writing of Morgan and her character was amazing!
Since the intern I needed to know more about Walker and dear lord was he delivered in all his glorious power!
These two may seem like chalk and cheese but their relationship was honestly the cutest, sweetest, most romantic thing and let’s talk BDSM because those scenes were HOT!!!!
Now I feel we ended on a slight cliffhanger (I wonder if you lot heard me scream at my kindle) BUT then I realised why - as something new will be coming early 2025 and I am soooooooo ready for it!
Thank you to Lexi and Lemmy at Luna Literacy for letting me an ARC reader in exchange for my honest review - I absolutely loved it and highly recommend

Y’all, the spice on this?? Absolutely jaw dropping. Insane.

Lexie’s writing is truly memorable, and I love how effortless the medical aspects were. With so many doctor romances, the work feels awkward but that’s the case here.

Morgan and Walker are kind of an unexpected match, but once they’re together it’s explosive. Outside of the insane spice, I think their chemistry and contentment is my favorite. It’s like they instantly know they’ve met their person but they don’t want to look too deep into it yet.

The friend group also adds a lot to the fun and lightness of this book. They all seem like just the best people. And that third act surprise was AMAZING.

I did struggle a bit with having read this book before the others in the series because I could tell I was missing some nuances from the previous couples, but it didn’t deter me.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first time reading Lexie Woods and a book in this series and I definitely need to listen and read the rest of the series. I did the full immersive experience and I enjoyed it! Morgan’s growth throughout the book was real and relatable and it was nice to see her slowly evolve as the strong-willed independent woman she is.
But what did it for me was the tension between Morgan and Walker. It was so thick I swear I was holding my breath half the time. By the time they finally got together? Worth. Every. Page. The spice was so good!! And on audio?? Even better. Because Maxine Mitchell and JF Harding, two of the most underrated narrators in my opinion know how to bring characters to life. Their performance elevated the story to the next level. I could listen to anything the two of them narrate. I’m looking forward to the next one!
Thank you to Blue Nose audio for the ALC!!

ARC REVIEW

Lexie has such an articulate way of combining the real life struggles of being a healthcare worker with a fictional story about a workplace, medical romance that sweeps you off your feet.

Walker + Morgan were both characters I’ve been excited to learn more about throughout this series and they did not disappoint. Both of their growth individually & together, inside and outside of the bedroom (🤭) was beautiful and they are one of those fictional couples that are going to stick with me!

What to expect:

💒 accidental marriage
💙 he falls first
🩺 doctor x nurse
😉 friends with benefits
🌶️ extra spicy (kink exploration)

Walker & Morgan

This was my first book by the author and I really enjoyed it! It was so easy to fall for Walker and Morgan!

I loved that Lexie brings her knowledge as a nurse to her character. It made the story feel very authentic and some of the harder aspects of the job felt more genuine!

Accidental marriage is becoming one of my favorite tropes and I loved how it was done here! I also really enjoyed the banter between the characters. Morgan had me laughing out loud with some of the things she said!

I definitely need to go back and read the first two books in the series and I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Follows Walker & Morgan. Walker is an ortho surgeon & Morgan is an ER nurse. Walker is divorced not looking for love & Morgan is the fun one that doesn’t do relationships/marriage. The banter between these two was absolute PERFECTION & eventually their attraction & friendship leads to a FWB situation. The accidental marriage with a twist😉 was SO good! The spice and exploration in this one had me SWEATING! I loved Morgan’s spitfire personality & I loved how patient Walker was with Morgan🥹 I was rooting for them the entire time. The way she also weaves the challenges that our healthcare workers face daily just adds to the depth of the story! This is Lexie’s BEST BOOK YET!
Quotes✨
✨ She makes me want to care for her but challenge her, to soothe her but rattle her, to draw her close but push her away.
✨ My c*ck is going to wreck you, little devil. It’s going to tear you apart, inch by f*cking inch. And that pain? It’s going to feel so godd*mn good that you’ll get on your knees and beg for more.”

4⭐️4🌶️ Morgan + Walker

Midtown Memorial reminds me of a little bit of Greys Anatomy mixed with Lena Dunham’s Girls series. I don’t know how else to explain it lol. But I just love the cast of friends and the found family that Lexie has created.

Where Parker is such a serious grump and Beau is super playful, Walker felt very well rounded. He was perfect for Morgan’s playful side. I loved their accidental marriage story and seeing how it all played out.

I also really appreciated how Lexie included a unique insight into the harsh realities of what medical workers have to deal with. It’s also been interesting to see how each book progressively includes more BDSM dynamics.

this is the first book of Lexie’s i’ve read and wow! i was blown away!! as an orthopaedic theatre nurse, this was so entertaining to read, especially bc i could easily relate to the healthcare scenarios as well as the medical jargon used!

i didn’t think i’d enjoy reading a story set in a similar work place but i was so wrong! Walker, the man you are, why can’t my orthopods be like you😂

also this book introduced me to some new… things i didnt know about 👀🤭

thank you so much Lexie for an arc to this book, i will definitely be reading the first two in the series and the next to follow! you’ve got me hooked!

I didn't like Morgan's character much... she was childish and incredibly silly. The same goes for Walker. Well, I didn't hate him, but I didn't like his stubbornness after what happened in Las Vegas, when she was begging him to break up. I don't want to spoil anything, but what happened in Las Vegas made me scream like a madgirl. It completely changed the plot, and I loved it. It reminded me of Ross and Rachel in Friend. 'If you know, you know.'

I have a medical background as a paramedic and this book got me! Loved the true understanding of what it’s like to be amongst the field….. think is I have no idea where these docs are hiding because I’ve never seen em around!

The story and spice were top notch…. The “lessons” for both in the bedroom were eye opening to say the least. I mean. He did his research.

Loved it! Will def read the next book.

(I started at book 3 as the first 2 tropes didn’t interest me)
