Believing in Jesus and living generosity go hand-in-hand. Understanding gospel centered giving and the practical side of why we give, how much and to whom is very important for anyone claiming to follow Jesus. Too many Christians have become jaded and weary of talking about money because of poor teaching on giving. And too many churches are under resourced for the same reason. Like any good theology and practical application of scripture, the best place to start is the Gospel. We love because he first loved us. We live because he lives in us. We forgive others because he forgives all our sins. We serve because he served us in our deepest need. We give, because we have been given Jesus.
