In my eyes, Mycah can do no wrong! The way she pens these stories is top tier! She did the grumpy X sunshine trope with perfection 🫶🏽

Mean ass Hendrix thought he was a lost cause. Someone not deserving of love or to be cared for. Sundae was the one who bought out a different side of him. With her he was able to relax and explore his inner child. They both needed healing and they found that in each other. The way he watched over and protected her was everything. They were drawn to each other from the beginning and their chemistry was apparent from the beginning.
I ate this up in one night! It was everything I thought it would be and more. If your looking for a grumpy x sunshine romance, I highly recommend this one 🤎

This story gave me the feel goodness of finally being seen. Yak had been a shell of himself since the age of eight. Sundae had been living In a small town bubble, being responsible. The terrible incident that endeared them to one another, left them stunned. It slowly allowed them to see and focus on each other .

Hendrix witnessed a horrific tragedy at a young age, that immediately changed his life forever! Not having the support, care, and love from family and friends, put him in a position to try and navigate it all on his own. Self-medicating with alcohol was the only thing that calmed the nightmares and allowed him to get through the day. Making a way to take care of himself, and his brother Hermes, was all he cared about, as no one cared about them. On his daily walk to pick up his bottle, he sees a beautiful woman, that he believes is an angel. Little does he know that she is an angel and will eventually become his everything.
Sundae, a sweet woman, moves into the small town of Enid, to forge her way in life. She’s a bit quirky, but her heart is in the right place. When she lays eyes on Hendrix, she is immediately drawn to him; although he has sad eyes, and a grumpy disposition. Then he calls her angel, and she takes that to heart. She is determined to get to know him and bring a little sunshine into his dark world.
An incident is in progress involving Sundae, and Hendrix intervenes. This situation pulls them together in ways that neither expected, and they lean on each other for healing and resolve.
Listen, Hendrix and Sundae were adorable. Sundae had a way of getting Hendrix out of his comfort zone and bringing a smile to his face. She “saw” him past his alcoholism, mean face, and unpleasantness. That let him know she was different, and he wanted to change to be a better person for her. Hendrix provided safety and security for Sundae. Just being in his presence made her feel that all was well in the world.
This couple seemed to be an opposites attract kind of deal, but their connection was so strong, the differences didn’t matter. I loved that Hendrix fought through his trauma, his addiction, found love, leaned on God, and found his way out healed and better than ever. I really enjoyed this read. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Quirky quick read
The last three or four books have been quirky, and good. I liked meeting this mismatched pair become soul mates. I enjoyed this couple and their story.

Ugh! Grumpy/sunshine is one of my favorite tropes and Mycah did such a great job of writing this grumpy/sunshine book.
Hendrix was definitely grumpy man, but could you blame him. Seeing what he saw at such a young age would’ve probably drove anybody to drink. It wasn’t a surprise that his self confidence lacked and he didn’t believe that anyone could find him worthy of being loved.
Sundae was for sure a ray of light. My girl was so cute and so calm throughout the book. Yes, my girl was weird, as Hendrix would say, but she just had certain things quirks about her like we all do. So what she loved eating dry ice and enjoyed stalking Hendrix. 🤷🏽♀️😂 I’m glad she was able to overcome what happened to her while Hendrix supported her through it.
One of my favorite moments about this book was Hendrix strengthening his relationship with God throughout the end of the book. I didn’t see that coming but I wasn’t mad at it. It was clear that Hendrix was very serious about changing his ways.
When these two came together, nothing could stop their love from forming DESPITE what was going on in their worlds. They truly could not be without one another once they started to let their guards down.
This book is cute and if you’re looking for a light read with some big lessons, read this book. 🫶🏽

I absolutely loveddddd these two!
My girl Sundae was really a ray of sunshine! She almost got that stolen from her but I loved that she didn’t let that completely dim her light.
She was really the light and an actual angel for Hendrix and even Hermes.
Hendrix dark and grumpy self made himself a home in my heart because my baby just wanted to be okay 😭
Sundae wasn’t just the sun for Hendrix, Hendrix became the sun for her as well and I loved seeing those two heal together but baby…Hendrix healing AND bossing up?! Ugh I loved them

Mycah Edwards has done it again. She has written a book that has made me fall in love with not just the characters but the story too. I love me a hurt comfort book and this book warmed my heart. To see how Sundae and Hendrix started in this book and how they both blossomed through the book to the end. Their love is strong and beautiful. Ooh and the grumpy sunshine aspect was so cuteee. Sundae is so sunny she still blind you with happiness. And Hendrix grumpyness might be pitch black but it has some warmth to it. Ahh I just love these two.
Sundae
I love Sundae with all my heart. Her personality is just the cutest thing I ever seen. This girl is bold, if I said half of the things she said I would probably croak. I love that Sundae flowed Hendrix around.Because it was so funny to find out how bad at sneaking around Sundae was at. Like her ass was just out in the open. He can see you girl 😂. I also love that even though she went through a horrible thing she had found herself pushing to get better. Looking for self defense, going to therapy and more. The small time she was down didn't matter because she pushed herself toward being her better self. Also the way Sundae loved Hendrix at his lowest was so warming to see. Not a lot of people get loved at their lowest their pretty much tossed the side.

Hendrix is a if he wanted to he would man. He been through a lot of shit and it's been weighing him down. So badly that he took alcohol as a mind cleanser. It was helping but wasn't in a way that was helpful enough. So when he was pushed to save Sundae from a tramtic situation. He pushes forward and realizes his drinking habit could have changed the situation in him saving her to him and her getting hurt. So he changes his lifestyle. But I love Hendrix we get to see how grumpy he is from the beginning, but when he's with Sundae he's almost a completely different person. He's lighter in his attitude. Its like she is his saving grace aka angel. Hendrix following Sundae back with ease made me laugh so hard. I love of obessed Hendrix was with Sundae and her clingness. He might have played it off but he love it. Especially her teasing and annoyance. If anything I enjoy everything about Hendrix. I love his personality as well and definitely seeing his growth from beginning to end.

This was the sweetest read I’ve come across in a while. Hendrix was drowning in his trauma while Sundae was basking in the sunlight. Even witnessing him at his lowest didn’t stop her from being drawn to him. When he stepped in for her and continued to provide her with protection, peace, and comfort I knew he was a goner. Hendrix’s fresh start was just what the doctor ordered. I loved how he recognized what needed to change so that he could fully be with Sundae. I hated how his parents’ demise led to him hiding himself from the world. Hermes was his lifeline before Sundae came along, and I was delighted to see how the brothers held on to one another. I wouldn’t be mad at story for Hermes though.

Hendrix and Sundae!!!
Hendrix had been through a lot since his childhood and didn't know how to cope but the ray of sunshine named Sundae let him see that he was worth something. Hendrix and Sundae were soooo freaking cute once Hendrix got himself together after the incident with Sundae's attacker. I had to smile everytime Hendrix called Sundae weird because I know he was doing it out of love and affection. They also had me smiling with their stalking shenanigans. This is a great redemption story that was filled with love, patience and passion. I was so happy for both Hendrix and Sundae because they both found their person. Sundae led Mr. Grumpy (Hendrix) out into the sunshine which I loved for him.

Whew! I was not expecting to cry with this read but Author Mycah Edwards has created another heartfelt novel with extremely relatable characters. From the beginning, my heart broke for Hendrix. Knowing that he deemed himself worthless after witnessing such a horrific event was indeed sad. Sundae was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed reading her bubbly personality. She and Hendrix were what each other needed, innocence and fun for him, protection and security for her. I did finish the book wondering if Hermes and Calise will get a story. This 5 star book is a must read!

Cute read that I couldn’t put down
This was a cute read that was about healing and getting pass trauma. Hendrix and Subdae made the perfect couple. They were meant to be together. I love the fact that Subdae never tried to change him. They both saw something in each other that brung them two together. I can’t wait to read more books from this author. I hope it’s a part two or some type of standalone where we talk about the brother Hermes.

Here comes the sun
This was such a good book. Sundae and Hendrix needed each other for different reasons and their bond was so cute. She was his angel and he was her protector. I loved their interactions with each other and that Sundae was able to bring the sun back the Hendrix’s life so he could realize his purpose. I highly recommend this story.

good read
I loved Sundae’s obsession and stalking of Hendrix lol. I loved how she catered to him and loved on him. I loved hoe she didn’t play about him and her weirdness. I’m proud of Hendrix for realizing he had a problem and doing what he needed to do to be a better man and sticking to it. They were such an awesome couple.

I loved reading Hendrix and Sundae story to love. The title is befitting because that the feeling you are left with after reading. Hendrix had a traumatic event that no child should ever witness. This takes him down bad but meeting his angel changed his life and brought him to his destiny. Nice read

This was an easy story to follow. Sundae and Hendrix were an odd but sweet couple. I loved how they came to be. Sundae was able to see him despite his flaws. They ended up becoming it for one another.

Sometimes when we least expect it, we run across someone who just makes the sun shine brighter, who can quiet the noise and just calm the storm without even trying. Sundae was that person for Hendrix.

Whew.....
I totally recommend this book, and I hope there is a sequel or a series. Hendrix' s experience is not uncommon, but the difference is he slowly allowed someone to help him see his worth,and to see that anything is possible with God!

That sun was so bright
This was the best stalker to lover read yet. They were able to be who they were to and for each other. Hendrix had a rough childhood but in the end that sun came out to brighten up his world and it was the most loving thing yet.
