This book is an emotional whirlwind that had me hooked from start to finish. Gwen and Pete’s story is a beautifully crafted tale of longing, heartbreak, and second chances. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the tension between them—both emotional and external—makes for an irresistible read. As Gwen adapts to life with Pete’s clan in Berlin, the stakes soar, and their connection deepens in ways that are both thrilling and tender.
Having the entire collection in one book is a gift, allowing the story to unfold seamlessly and immersing the reader in their journey of love and survival. The blend of danger, vulnerability, and electric chemistry between Gwen and Pete kept me turning pages late into the night. This is a must-read for anyone who loves romance with a supernatural twists!

What a great story! I was hooked by the vampire’s fight to save the witch he loves. The audiobook elevated everything—the narrator’s performance was pure chef’s kiss.

A vampire romance like no other...
I started this book on Kindle, then switched to the audiobook and listened as I read along. This book was a fantastic read, but with Everly's narration, the characters pop off the page, making it a truly immersive experience. You get the Russian words and all the accents. I’m a firm believer that vampires should always have accents; it’s half the fun! If they don’t, then they should be broody!
This book gave me a lot of vibes: forbidden/ taboo love, a heavy dose of longing, miscommunication, and found-family vibes.
Gwen awakes as a newly turned vampire and is thrust into a world she didn’t truly understand; now she’s on the other side, undead, but there’s a catch! She’s a witch!
Pete and Gwen have loved each other for years, denying themselves the one thing they wanted most, each other. But even in the world of vampires and witches, some laws trump even the strongest of emotions.
And there is so much emotion between these two characters. I found myself bleeding for both of them. They want each other in a way that is visceral, a true bond of the soul, but circumstances out of their control force them both to hold back. There’s uncertainty, wounded feelings, and a lot of assumptions coming from all sides, even the side characters. Each of these characters brings their own unique flair to the storyline while also laying the groundwork for more connections. I loved so many of the side characters, especially Mikal and Keres.
There is humor, depth, and a very intriguing take on both vampire and witch society. There’s a structure, and each faction has its own rules. Wendy also gave us a rather interesting mystery element regarding Gwen’s being turned into a vampire, along with all the heart-pulling aspects of Gwen and Pete’s relationship.
If you’re looking for a book to scratch that vampire lover itch in a unique way, grab this book, along with the audio if you can! Xoxo

Emotional slow burn
I've been waiting for more on Peter, and this book gave me all that I ever wanted! I've liked Gwen from day one at Sage Hill and even Bruins friend Pete who held a secret later revealed through the series, but giving them this story I'd so heart warming and heart breaking all at once!
Beginning had me torn at the thoughts of what happened. It is written in a way to keep you guessing for the first several pages which just kept me turning page after page. Once you get through the backstory of this part and decisions are made, it becomes a bit slow as we move through the next phase. It was still a page turner, but I just wanted so much more for the characters... but boy did I get it in the end. I shred legit tears as the answers to this installment are answered and reaped. Impatiently waiting for book 5!

Our Bramble Fae Universe gets even bigger as we enter the world of vampires. The first chapter of this book had me absolutely hooked. The absolute tension in the beginning as the vampire clan awaits the fate of their injured friend is truly palpable and the tone holds through until the end. (Mikhail's reaction in particular stood out to me and helped set up the character's personality quickly.) The remainder of the story was following a young woman trying to discover herself - with the additional problems of magical beings, powers, rules, and dangerous enemies. Our FMC, Gwen, has to figure out her identity, her relationships, where she wants to live, what groups she wants to be a part of. This book expanded the world even further and introduced several more fun, lovable characters.
I'm excited for the next book in the series.

I am hooked! I loved Peter and Gwen’s story. It was a nice, quick urban fantasy. It was an emotional, slow-burning process in which the lead characters had to navigate supernatural politics, external interference, and their own doubts.
I loved the way death was portrayed. It was a fun twist to a commonly feared character.
I am now invested and need to read other books from the Bramble Fea Universe!

Emotional rollercoaster
The characters in this book go through an array of emotions and life changing events. That led up to an epic battle that left me in tears. Such an amazing read. Highly recommend it.

A slow burn that was so good! I enjoyed the different clans in the beginning and will use this as one of my recommended vampire books
