Rumors don’t always tell the whole story…..
This was a story of a marriage of convenience that quickly turned into more. Felicity thought she knew everything about Duke Charles, the notorious rake, but after spending time with him she realized that she didn’t know him at all. All the rumors she believed didn’t describe him at all. He was a changed man, and she quickly realized that she wanted more than a marriage of convenience. They spent time together and realized they were perfect for one another. Their playful banter was funny and entertaining. They were cute together, and it helped humanize Felicity’s character because she came off pretty harsh at first. I liked that they realized their relationship had more potential early on even though they weren’t admitting love. After a small setback of someone trying to come between them, they found their HEA.
I was a little disappointed how easily Felicity lost faith, but it was addressed in a really sweet manner that showed the kind of changed man that Charles had become.
