Rumors don’t always tell the whole story…..

This was a story of a marriage of convenience that quickly turned into more. Felicity thought she knew everything about Duke Charles, the notorious rake, but after spending time with him she realized that she didn’t know him at all. All the rumors she believed didn’t describe him at all. He was a changed man, and she quickly realized that she wanted more than a marriage of convenience. They spent time together and realized they were perfect for one another. Their playful banter was funny and entertaining. They were cute together, and it helped humanize Felicity’s character because she came off pretty harsh at first. I liked that they realized their relationship had more potential early on even though they weren’t admitting love. After a small setback of someone trying to come between them, they found their HEA.
I was a little disappointed how easily Felicity lost faith, but it was addressed in a really sweet manner that showed the kind of changed man that Charles had become.

Who Can You Believe?

I really enjoyed this story. Lady Felicity had looked after her sisters following the death of her mother. She had turned away her own suitors to focus on her sisters. Duke Charles was regarded as a rake and his reputation was affecting his chances of doing business with other aristocrats. When he realized that it would be beneficial for him to marry to improve his reputation, he decided to have a fake courtship and approached Lady Felicity. She agreed to the deal. I enjoyed following their rocky relationship and seeing how it developed. There were a lot of rumours about them both. Could they convince people that their relationship was genuine? There was one person who tried to trick them and force them apart. Would that person succeed? Would they realise they were being tricked and find happiness together? Read on and enjoy this well-written story.

DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING - YOU COULD BE HURT

Lady Felicity oldest of three sisters, her mother died when the younger girls were very young, Felicity was automatically put in the position were she BECAME the mother figure (she avoided suitors) deciding she would not marry she avoided society functions when possible - with one sisters married, her sister Phoebe was hoping to be betrothed to Harry Lord Moore.
LADY Cassandra Jardine
CHARLES - DUKE OF WALFORD - has been friends (more like brothers) with Harry since they were children, they spoke about everything. CHARLES needed to speak to Harry unknowingly turned up at his home where Harry was dining with Pheobe's father and sister, this was not a problem Charles was always welcome by Harry.

THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS - I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT BRILLIANT ABSOLUTELY AND SOME HEAT
THE INTERACTION BETWEEN CHARLES AND FELICITY IS GREAT.
Lots more going on here some jealousy and nasty people.
I received an ARC

Couldn't put it down!

Perfect enemies to lovers story complete with the jealous other woman! Loved how Felicity and Charles came together and how one jealous would be lover tried to tear them apart. Felicity is a heroine who can't help but fall for the rakish Charles who in turn can't get Felicity out of his mind. And the steam between the two is hot! Great read. Some of the love scenes were a little stiff and that's the reason for the four star review. I felt that the heat between the two could've been much more explosive when they were a little stiff. Still loved the story!

The hero is a rake and feels now is the time to improve his reputation for the sake of his business dealings. How does he do that? Propose to an upstanding young woman. The heroine has been in charge of her sisters since her mother died and definitely is respectable. The plot is fairly predictable with even a villain trying to get between them. There are some steamy scenes. I did enjoy the banter between the main characters.

A Meeting/A Quest/A Suggestion..

Charles, the Duke with so many rumors surrounding him finally realizes he should marry to improve his image. Only no one tempts him until his meeting with Lady Felicity & her sister, betrothed to his best friend. Then slowly it all makes sense. Until a devious person acts to spoil what they have found between
Themselves.. and what to do about it. A beautiful read - a love story!

I really appreciate how both Felicity & Charles put their family first even at detriment to themselves & were both caring & selfless in that regard, I wish she had been more understanding in the beginning especially because she also had an inaccurate reputation, I did really like the development of both characters & their teasing relationship with Harry & Phoebe.

fantastic

The story has a great storyline and character development. I wonder throughout this book how the Duke would end up married or not. Then when he ran into problems, I wondered if he would hang tough and try to resolve it or just write the lady off this truly is worth reading.

Scarlett’s you lost a star because it lost pace in the middle, a weak predictable villain, the hero’s best friend is’ the true hero and saves the day.
If you love Scarlett’s books then no Doubt you will love this latest book. However if you’re new to ‘Scarlett’s you may find the middle loses you in which case you have lost a reader.

great regency romance

This is the story of two sisters and two young men that had been the best of friends for many years. One set is engaged and the other two are determined never to marry until they are put together in different circumstances. Will they fall for each other or just bet better at tolerating each other

Changed a Rake that is a Duke

Good read. Liked the characters and kept to them not leading you with many added characters. Love wins in the end and if you don't like sex descriptions then this book isn't for you. This has a good ending and does not leave you hanging for answers.

Rake To Domesticated

Loved this story. Charles had no idea when he met the reserved Felicity that she would be his future wife. They entered into a false courtship in order to give him respectability. Instead, they found true love.

Wonderful Story!

Love Charles's and Felicity's love story. He was someone with an undeserved reputation. She was convinced that marriage and love were not for her. The only disappointed detail, the villain was too easy to predict. Highly Recommend!!!
