I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review! Thank you!!
I went into this partially blind as I knew it was a why choose and slightly suspenseful but I didn't want the blurb to influence my thoughts on the book so I waited till I forgot the synopsis. That being said, I absolutely loved trying to figure out who the person was sending her notes. I was partially correct so I'll take the win, it def didn't hit me until right before it hit her, 😉, the rest of the secret. You had me on the edge of my seat and thank you for turning Sienna into a baddie with that scene at the end!! I ate that up!
Now onto the why choose, oh man, you really said I'm gonna give you a little bit of everything with these boys. A golden boy, a bad boy and the best friend she couldn't live without, who absolutely worship the floor she walks on! They're completely obsessed with her and wouldn't have it any other way. I wish I had more of their relationship as a quad, is that what it is? Idk but I'm going to roll with it, lol, I already miss them! However, that last scene fits them perfectly and it was chef's kiss!
Overall, amazing read and I absolutely binged the last half of this book! 🤭
ARC read! Was so excited to receive the email and I have loved this book!
The plot captivated me the most, it was my first thriller/whodunnit genre read, and it has been intertwined greatly with the RH/why choose genre! I thoroughly enjoyed the plot twists and seeing some of my hunches becomes true. That being said, the guys and the spice is also chef's kiss. It was nice to see how they figured out their relationship and how Sienna and the guys ended up accepting their feelings and falling in love. It's very hard to pick a favourite character, but I think it has to be Ander, shortly followed by Zayn. 😍😍😍
Definitely a great debut novel and can't wait to read more from this author.
I read this as an ARC in return for an honest review. And to be honest I LOVED this book! The characters and storyline were so well thought out. As this is a thriller romance I spent a lot of time thinking about the plot twist and if I could figure it out, the plot twist and ending were amazing I genuinely didn’t see it coming. This is a why choose and can I just say - I wouldn’t be able to choose either - all three MMCs were interesting and unique, but all shared the same amount of love and care for the FMC. This book was phenomenal and I believe I have found a new auto buy author! 🫶
I couldn’t put this book down! I read it all in about 2 days, but if I had the time I would’ve read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend reading the prologue, The Summer it All Changed, first as it gives some good background information on Sienna before she leaves for her Swiss boarding school.
I really loved how Sienna met and had instant connections with all of the boys before learning that they were friends. Each of the guys were really unique with different personalities, which is sometimes hard to achieve in why choose.
The twists and turns along the way kept me interested and although I sort of had an idea how it would end up, there were still some surprising elements at the end. I would love to see another story about Sienna, Ander, Noah, and Zayn - I’m sad this only a standalone and not at least a duology!
If you like high spice, suspense, and why choose make sure to add this book to your TBR for release day on 7/13/2024!
I received an ARC of Deadly Secrets and absolutely loved it! This was my first RH romance and it really drew me into the story. It was the perfect mix of romance and drama against the backdrop of a murder mystery.
I definitely had my favorite among the love interests but the main character meshed so well with all of them that it was hard to pick one. And so the FMC just decided not to ;).
I’m someone who is usually able to spot the plot twists in most books but this one really threw me for a loop in the best way possible. Definitely recommend giving this book a read! An awesome debut novel.
This book really was a wild ride. I knew the storyline a bit, of course, but really didn't see this coming, haha!
I was thinking the whole time, oh will he be 1 of the... And yes, I was really taken completely by surprise. I honestly did expect more 'spicy' scenes in the why choose setting, but that didn't take away from the awesomeness of the spicy scenes that were in the book. LOVED them ALL.
And omg, the plot... This was a book with spice AND plot. I already had my ideas about how and what would come out of the plot and yet I was completely surprised.
4,5 ⭐️🤌🏼
*I read this book in exchange for an honest review*
This book is sexy and delicious!! Young and free, yolo vibes! Sienna at 18yrs old has no other responsibilities but school, partying with friends, finding hot guys to sleep with and spending daddy’s money. However, some family secrets eventually catch up to her and college life becomes interesting😏. Oh and she has a stalker? Everyone is literally obsessed with her. 😂
I loved all these sexy guys after Sienna. The spice is super spicey 🥵 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ My smut lovers that love reverse harem and why choose. This is for you!! Sienna is worshipped by these boys 🪭My my my. She lucked out. I love that their need of her overcomes jealousy😏 The boys are each so different in their personalities and sexuality, even I wouldn’t/ couldn’t choose just one to be with. Sheesh.
The monologue to dialogue with character conversations flowed nicely with lots of fun, flirting and banter and inner dialogue. Also loved the multiple pov between Sienna and the boys. This really helped with understanding all their intentions toward her.
The mystery was more of a subplot which I was totally fine with while we got to know the boys a little better 😁. The suspense was amazing though and you do have your suspicions on who it could be. There is a sentence you eventually read and the light bulb clicks on. You go, “HA! It’s them! I knew it!” Or at least suspected them.
Bravo to this debut novel!
I would love a bonus chapter with Lizzie and James. I’m curious to know how Lizzie and James found one another🤔
What a great debut!! The author has put a lot of care in creating a well thought-out plot and complex characters. I can imagine it is difficult to handle multiple main characters and to give them all a good, solid backstory. To quickly tell you what this book is about, we follow Sienna as she starts university, where she is reunited with a childhood friend, Ander, and meets his friends Noah and Zayn. As she navigates her newly-turned-upside-down life, she starts to develop complicated feelings for them. If that wasn't enough, she starts receiving threatening anonymous notes, that get creepier and more and more dangerous...
Deadly Secrets is a great mix of a RH / why choose romance with a gripping suspenseful plot. It's always fun to try and guess who's behind the mystery, and this one was no exception. I don't tend to be a reader who develops hundreds of theories, yet I found myself questioning EVERY CHARACTER in this book to guess who was the culprit. Regarding the romantic aspect, I was specially interested in Sienna and Ander's relationship, as they knew each other previously and I wanted to know how their relationship would evolve and change. Either way, the spice is SPICING in here. Open door, and three dirty mouthed men. You can imagine where this is going 🤭
Absolutely give Sienna a chance. Deadly Secrets is a multiple pov suspense romance, super easy to read, fun and intriguing, mixed with the drama of rich kids.
Thank you so much to A. M. Acosta for the opportunity to read an ARC of her debut novel!! 🤍🤍
It's a 3,5⭐️ for me. It is a great book and had a fun time reading it, but it did not suck me in. I didn't connect with the characters as much as i would liked too. Overall it was a great story though. With a great plottwist!
Anyone who loves mystery, suspense, drama & lots of spice. This book is for you. I dived into this book without reading much & just knowing it's a why-choose romance but then I got into it, I just couldn't put it down. With all three boys having their own meet cute/ history with Anders, Noah and Zayn- it comes as a shock to her that they all are in her university and want her.
I loved how the story was set & how it kept me on the edge.
Beta reader - so excited for this book to release!!
I devoured this book, I want to keep this spoiler free but this is one of the best reverse harems I have read. It wasn't forced and our pumpkin spiced girl had so much chemistry with all the men!
The storyline is gripping, I think I sat and read around 200 pages in one sitting whilst beta reading as I kept wanting to read on to find out what would happen next.
Sienna is a great FMC, she is strong and sassy but with a vulnerability about her. She gave me Tony Stark vibes which is why I liked her so much. Zayn was also my fave out of all the men, there is a certain bathroom scene that will knock your socks off. This book is cleverly written, it is funny, tragic, witty, sexy and everything else you want in a RH. Loved this book, can't wait to do a re-read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was an ARC read and such a good one! For this being a debut, I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. A.M. gave so much life to the characters. I am a huge RH/Why-Choose fan and the chemistry between Sienna and the guys was perfect, there was no awkwardness with the storyline. The mystery kept me on the edge and I was honestly shocked when the truth was revealed! I loved Noah, Zayn & Ander! Plus Sienna got her time to be a badass and I really loved that!
This was such a good read and I would 100% recommend it to others that love why choose and a good mystery!
5⭐️ 4🌶️ Loved it! There are 2 things I loved about this book. The plot was well connected and the fact the harem doesn’t start at once but she meets then individually first (the tension builds up in a delicious way). I was able to half guess the end but I couldn’t put it down! If you like murder mystery books, spicy that is spicing, and RH romance, add this book to your TBR.
WOW! This book was such a ride. And for a debut novel? A.M. Acosta really outdid herself with "Deadly Secrets."
Usually, I dive into RH books for the spice and keep my expectations for the plot at a minimum. But let me tell you, "Deadly Secrets" served both in spades. I couldn’t put the book down! The story had me hooked from page one, and I was on the edge of my seat, dying to see how it would all unfold.
I was constantly second-guessing who the stalker might be, changing my mind with every twist and turn. Acosta had me playing detective, and I was loving every second of it. She must've laughed really hard at all my comments while beta-reading it, because I was very invested into figuring it out, but ultimately failed miserably 😆.
At first, I had a hard time connecting with Sienna. Her reactions about her parents' death, for example, seemed a bit off to me, but then it hit me – everyone deals with grief differently. Seeing the world through the eyes of a young girl coping with tragedy gave her character depth and made her grow on me. By the end, I was rooting for her like she was my best friend.
And let's talk about the boys – Ander, Noah, and Zayn. Each of them brought something unique to the table, and you can totally obsess over them. Ander was pissing me off at first with his attitude, but as the story progressed, I started to understand where he was coming from. Noah, my favorite, has that golden retriever energy with a dominant side that I absolutely adored. Seriously, why can't man like Noah be real? And Zayn, the silent and broody guy with a golden heart, you can't help but love him.
The dynamic between Sienna and the three boys was wild and complicated in the best way. I loved that she was genuinely conflicted about her feelings for all three of them. It took her time to sort through her emotions, which is TOTALLY NORMAL. Often in RH books, these feelings are brushed over like it’s no big deal, but Acosta kept it real. Kudos to her for that!
Overall, I loved everything – the writing, the plot, the characters, the spice levels, everything. If you’re about to read this book, do check the trigger warnings because it might seem innocent, but it tackles heavy topics like grief, torture, betrayal, and – most importantly – the classic holiday trauma of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. 😂
This was amazing! It was a perfect mix of mystery and spice! I’m not usually a fan of the harem because I don’t think it’s believable that men could be not selfish and share a woman 😂😂 Sienna is a lucky gal!
I really loved the three guys: the childhood love, the unforgettable tryst with the bad boy, and the meet cute at her school. But of course they’re all Best friends so how can she choose?! I liked mostly how Sienna met them all individually instead of just joining a friend group and jumping from guy to guy!
Sienna Moore is kind of a wild spoiled girl at the beginning , she’s got some daddy issues and she’s out partying and having lots of one night stands… including one very memorable guy she meets at a bar in NYC! She doesn’t really get along with her family, especially her dad, who shipped her off to boarding school and forbid her from contacting her childhood bff. He owns a big pharmaceutical company and was partners with this kid’s dad until they had a falling out. Then one tragic day, both her parents are taken from her. She ends up inheriting her fathers pharmaceutical company AND she’s starting Stanford University in the fall. Girl has a lot going on for 18!!
She meets Noah in the bookstore, he’s instantly attracted to her and asks her out. Then she runs into her childhood best friend Ander, after not seeing him for 6 years he is painfully angry at her and resents her, and she doesn’t know why. It just so happens he’s Noah’s best friend! To make it even more awkward, the NY guy from above… his name is Zayn, and ALSO best friends with Noah and Ander. His mom is marrying Ander’s dad even! Talk about being unlucky!!
I loved this whole little web of love!! It’s as truly a masterpiece!! This is only just a tiny spoiler! So you can imagine what else could happen!! SO MUCH SPICE
There is also plot! Sienna starts receiving threatening notes from some stalker so her and the boys work together to try to figure it out. It’s quite a twist!! I could not figure it out and I was mega surprised!
I also just want to say the writing is incredibly smooth! I was never bored or at a point where I was like this isn’t necessary. It was all good, the mystery, the spice, the drama!! I wanted to keep reading it and loved the entire thing!!
Loved this debut novel! This book had everything! Romance, spice, suspense, and a great plot! This was a fantastic why choose romance. When I read the blurb I knew I had to read it! I had to see how a why choose tied into suspense and stalking.
Sienna (the FMC) is sassy, reckless, sarcastic with a bit of a wild side and is unapologetically herself. She meets the three guys at different times in her life but it turns out they are best friends. She meets Noah her first week at college, Ander is a childhood friend and she meets Zayn right before leaving for college.
I loved how each of the guys were different but they all worshiped the ground she walked on. I loved that we were able to see Sienna’s relationship with each of the guys individually. I was instantly obsessed with Zayn. And the way Sienna and him met was 🔥
Sienna tried to fight her attraction to all of them but it was inevitable that she would end up with them.
This book was spicy!!! 🌶️🥵 and I ate it up!! I absolutely loved all of the guys. I was so annoyed with Ander for a good portion of the book, especially when he was so mean to Sienna but once they got through their past and were able to move forward Ander was all in.
I also loved the suspenseful plot! It kept me on my toes and I couldn’t put it down! Even though I was able to guess the twist I still thought it was so good!
I do wish the characters were a bit older but the author made their age work well for the story!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Multiple POV
🖤 Why choose 🖤 College setting 🖤 Romantic suspense 🖤 Obsessed MMC 🖤 St@lker 🖤 Second chance (with one of the MMC)
At a Glance:- MFMM college romance thriller with a healthy dose of smut. Soap Opera level drama with piping hot rich people tea.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really liked it 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 - Oh, she's spicy 🥵 📚📚📚📚 - Solid Plot
🔸️1F, 3M - No MM action. 🔸️Found Family 🔸️Rekindled Love 🔸️Thriller/Mystery 🔸️Stalker 🔸️College Romance 🔸️Trust fund kids/The wealthy
Full Review:- Deadly secrets is a reverse harem adult romance that follows Sienna, the daughter of a wealthy pharmaceutical mogul, as she navigates her freshman year of college while trying to put the pieces of her life back together after a tragic incident.
The wealthy always have the spiciest secrets. Throw in 3 hot men, a sus business deal, and a psycho stalker and you have a recipe for a page turner that you won't want to put down!
Thoughts: This was such a fun read!
While there is a good deal of romance, I found that I was actually drawn more to the thriller plot in this one. I was fully invested in the whodunnit straight to the last page, and my butthole was honestly clenched for about the last 5 chapters. I'm still reeling from that and those twists!
The smut was okay, and as graphic as one would expect from this niche/genre. At some parts, I did find myself wanting to skim over the spice so I could get back to the crazy mess that was happening in Sienna's life. It is tough, though, balancing a gripping storyline while also giving readers the steamy, all holes filled, smut they crave. I do feel like A.M Acosta did a great job balancing spice with plot on this one.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it. If you are a drama wh*re (like me), are into reverse harem/why choose where the focus is solely on the female and enjoy a little whodunnit with your smut, then I think you'll really like this one. There's scandal, there's betrayal, there's drama, there's tea, there's mystery, there's trauma....But there's also healing, and friendship and love and growth.... and a whole lot of 🍆.
Disclaimer: I was provided an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
At first glance this cover gave me all the vibes of rich girl caught up in a world she didn't know enough about and secrets were coming back to get revenge.
That was all I needed to start digging into this book. A.M. Acosta is a debut author and she came out with a vengeance with this book!! She brought a lot into this book and it definitely packed a punch. This book brought tragedy, betrayal, love, why choose romance, and friendship.
Sienna is someone who has had so much taken away from her but so much given to her in such a small amount of time. She has to quickly learn the ropes of so much and see who she can and cannot trust. Like going through life as an 18 year old isn't hard enough, life hits her right in the stomach. She definitely makes the most of what she has and falls head over heels for 3 guys. Yep, you read that right 3 guys. One being her childhood best friend, and two other men she happens to meet by chance on two separate occasions. She learns quickly that it isn't as easy as it seems living her life and she has to figure out the best way to go about it.
The three men she falls for Zayn, Anders and Noah are the perfect trio for her. They each bring a different type of calm for her. They can each cater to her needs in a different way and can protect her if the others aren't able to for whatever reason. Once they are able to get past the insecurities then they can make it work. It is definitely a relationship that is unique to certain people and isn't for everyone.
Let's Talk About 🥵🥵🥵 Baby: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
This is a spicy one my friends 🥵🥵🥵🥵. We have several spicy scenes some involving polyamory. The author wasn't shy when it came to what these characters liked. I appreciated that she wasn't afraid to mix it up compared to the vanilla of what some authors do.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ STEAMY- If it's not for you- Skip Through
I think for this book there were soo many moving parts. At times some of the storylines were left behind and weren't carried through. But in the end most everything was worked through.
It’s a good first novella. Some flaws prevent me from giving 4⭐️ but it’s close.
Sienna is a sassy, sarcastic, and a bit of a spoil brat FMC. Under dramatic circumstances, she is all by herself. She is reckless, like all 18-year-old girls. That point of view was really well described. She meets each boy at different times, not related. The boys are in fact, best friends (Ander, Zayn, Noah). But here’s the story: someone wants Sienna dead. Who? Why?
Tropes: - Fast pace - RH > FMMM - College - Second chance with 1 of the FMC - Reckless FMC because well 18yo - Stalker / Purge’s mask
I love: - the Playlist 🖤 - the inner voices of all characters 😂 - each character even the side ones, has well-defined personalities - the building of the why choose - the final plot. The story was well-driven. - Den of Vipers (if you know, you know) Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
The flaws: - they are really too young to have that much of maturity and experience. It would have been more credible if they were at least 25. Therefore, I was not as fully immersed as I would have loved. - sometimes the background stories were rushed. But I am a slow burn sucker so… - drinking at 18 is allowed in the EU. Not in the US where it’s situated. I think I would have loved that the story was in the EU. Plus: the author is Spanish so why not ☺️ - The unnecessary name-dropping of fashion brands (it’s in general - not particularly attached to this story)
In the in-between: - the chapter “Tarantino would have liked it”: the title is awesome and accurate. But it felt too much regarding Sienna’s being. 😳
I had the privilege to receive this book as an arc. I always give my honest review.
Content Warnings Graphic: Stalking, Blood, and Sexual content Moderate: Grief Minor: Rape, Suicide, and Death of parent
Wow. This was a very eventful read. This book had so many elements that made it quite the page turner, I didn't want to put it down! A.M. Costa is a new to me author and I can't wait to read more!
This book is perfect if you are into why choose and suspense with all the spice! Sienna is our main FMC and she finds herself questioning everything after she has a tragic event happen right before she is set to leave for college.
When she gets there she tries to focus on being a normal college student but quickly realizes she has even more on her plate. She is stuck between three guys that all bring different things to the table. She has feelings for all of them but doesn't want to choose.
I enjoyed how all three of the main MMC were different and Sienna had a different type of relationship with them. But bottom line they only wanted Sienna to be happy. Sienna sort of was living in her bliss filled bubble with her guys but once she starts to get some scary notes from a stalker, she doesn't know who she can trust.
I sort of put together the pieces before the stalker was revealed but it was still quite a shock of how everything unraveled! Sienna also got her moment to show just how strong she is!
I really liked this book and I enjoyed the characters. The only thing that kind of threw me was how young the characters were. I felt as though if they were in their mid twenties it would be more fitting instead of freshman and sophomores in college. However, that could be a me thing and it didn't take anything from the story per say just something that I noticed! Overall, I thought the book was well written and will recommend it!
Read if you like: 💀 Romantic Suspense 😈 Why Choose 🥵 Open Door 🏘️ College Setting ✌🏼 Multiple POV 🧐 Murder 💪🏻 Possessive MMC x3
I got an early ARC for this book and I loved it! I’m a big fan of reverse harem books and this novel definitely delivered! I always end up falling in love with each of the harem gradually, usually starting with the sweet/funny one. With this book, it went a little differently. Don’t get me wrong, I love Noah. But Zayn is the one that stole my heart. The tattooed, sexy bad boy with a sweet side had me even from the beginning. We even have the same Simba tattoo―helloooo, soulmates?
Ander took a while to grow on me, but I loved the dynamic when they all got together and he was a great addition to the harem. Him and Sienna had a past, and it was nice to see how they ended up resolving the miscommunication. I didn’t have much in common with Sienna’s character, but I liked her anyway. She was funny, stood up for herself and turned into a badass towards the ending of the book.
The plot is set up really well, and the structure is great. It kept me engaged from the beginning, and if it wasn’t for life being so busy, I would’ve finished it in one sitting. I adore mysteries and whodunit stories, and I loved guessing who the stalker was. I had my suspicions, but the further I got in the book they got debunked, only to add another suspect. Which was fun! The plot twist about who the actual stalker ended up being was great! I loved the chapter “Tarantino Would Be Proud”. Awesome title, too. *chefs kiss* 👩🏻🍳💋
The spice was HOT! 🔥 I especially loved the group scenes. I can tell you every hole gets made use of, guys 🤭 READ IT!
💜🖤I received an ARC E copy of this book for an unbiased, and voluntary review. All thoughts are my own💜🖤
Ok, where do I begin? I finished this book a few days ago and my head is STILL spinning. I initially was not sure how a suspense/whodunit would be able to be incorporated into a romance reverse harem, spicy book. After the first chapter I was still trying to see how it would work. But I just let it be and watched as it all unfolded in due time. And MY GOD, DID IT UNFOLD! MY JAW WAS DROPPED, MY FLABBERS WERE GASTED. It had me yelling out "I FUCKING KNEW IT!" But the thing was, while I "knew" who it was.... I had already told myself no it can't be that person. And the reason why?! Wow. That caught me off guard. Does this book have smut? Hell yes. But does this book have plot? Hell yes!! I have been recommending this book to people even before finding the words to write a review.
Now the spice. If you're looking for spice... You have come to the right place. Like I mentioned it is a reverse harem/why choose. There is no MM scenes. These men all worship the ground Sienna walks up on. You have three men, a best friend that she's loved since childhood, a bad boy that can't stop thinking about her, and a golden retriever boy who is completely obsessed with her. They all want to say "she is mine." I don't know how else to put it.. this book is the spiciest book I have ever read! I will continue to recommend this to all my smutty readers out there!
I am on a streak of amazing books and I was so scared that this one was going to be the one that didn't hit 5 stars but A.M. Acosta did not disappoint.
Easy to follow plot, the thriller behind who the Dahlia person is was pretty interesting. I do wish it had more of a focus around it. The ending wrapped up pretty well I feel. Overall an okay read, I think all the characters were written well. I really enjoyed Sienna's friendship with Maggie and also learning about the family history ect. The MMC's were also likeable in each of their own ways.
I did have some issues with the book hence the rating: - 1 it was a little bit slow getting into which is okay but I found Sienna to be quite annoying at the start but after she moves to university she becomes a lot more likeable which I guess is her character development. - 2 Her age, for such an explicit adult book, it doesn't sit right with me that she is only 18. I wish she was aged up to at least 20. I ended up just imagining she was older in my head so that I could keep on reading. - 3 Songs being mentioned in each chapter. I think it would've been better if there was a chapter playlist at the start of the book. Some of the songs in each chapter I didn't know but I would've liked to have been able to put on the song before the chapter started to set the scene. - 4 The specific fashion items mentions, I think it would've been nice if the author described the pieces rather than listed what they were. Just again like the songs it makes me want to stop and google these things for context which takes it away from the reading experience.
Arc Reader Review❣️ This book was so much fun! Our main girl Sienna goes to college and ends up with a stalker and 3 hot and possessive boyfriends who all know how to dirty talk so well🔥 the mystery of the stalker and the stuff with her parents was good! The twist near the end with the stalker reveal was awesome. I had suspected it was who it was and I was right! We also got closure on what happened to her parents in the beginning. I liked how this author wrote the harem with Sienna bringing her worries to the guys and them listening to her and showing that a poly relationship doesn’t always start off perfect but with good communication can be amazing❣️ I really love her bestie Sarah and how she comes all the way from Europe just to help her and be there for her when she needs her💗 Sienna was an amazing FMC she was funny, pretty, a girls girl, strong and resilient! Ander is her best friend from when they were kids and he is such a softie for her under his gruff exterior and a little stubborn haha he is also best friends with Noah & Zayn Noah is obsessed from the moment he sees her and his filthy mouth is 🥵 Zayn the slick flirty one who is also obsessed with her and his obsession with bathrooms (if ya know, ya know😂) 4⭐️ 4🌶️ Tropes- • second chance •stalker •murder/attempted murder •Sassy and fun FMC💗 •3 J/P MMCs🥵
I had the pleasure of beta reading for the beautiful and talented AM Acosta, and I will start with this: this is NOT my normal kind of story. I write and read mostly MM, but sometimes you gotta step out of your comfort zone and take a chance.
Um, this book did NOT disappoint. I couldn’t put it down, and every free moment I had, I was going after just one more chapter. There is suspense, there is a badass female lead who has unfortunately had to deal with some trauma, but who handles it like an absolute boss. There are some VERY sexy men and, since it’s a why choose….there is plenty of spice, and it is SPICIN’!! Whew!
My favorite part about this book was playing super-sleuth. Without giving away spoilers, there was a character about whom I had a hunch and I just had to keep reading to see if I was right (I was!). But it wasn’t predictable; it was done in a way that kept me guessing right up to the moment of reveal. I literally shouted, “I KNEW IT!”
A fun, fast-paced read for anyone who is a fan of why choose/RH, suspense, overcoming adversity, and found family. Honored to have been a part of helping AM with her debut novel. Can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us!
Deadly Secrets by A.M Acosta is a very interesting (I'm not kidding) and walls clenching read (if you know what I mean). Although written on papers, I could feel myself watching it straight out of a film series. I cried till my water ran dry and my heart thumped mercilessly. The combination of Ander, Zayn, and Noah. Nope, don't get me started. It all looks like a soap opera with Sienna as the untouchable goddess.
The characters in the novel were very relatable especially Sienna. I felt all her pains as a reader and her happiness, made me happy too. The soulful moments she had made me cry and that is why I am so in love with Deadly Secrets. And I will forever hold this book to my heart.
And to A.M Acosta, "I love you so much for writing this book. You made me cry."
If there were to be more than five stars, this amazing, spicy novel will be a hundred stars. And for lovers of dark romance who wants to be called a whore, Deadly Secrets is for you.
Favorite quote: "And as I gazed upon them, I knew—without a doubt—they were everything I wanted and needed."
Oh my gosshhhh!!! I loved this! From the very beginning all the way through the end, I was screaming! The tension, the drama, suspense. It was so good and so entertaining to read, I seriously could not put this down. It was a different vibe of RH than I have read before in the aspect that not everyone was on board with it, and it was a slow burn RH (even though the spice was not slow burn per say).
My heart hurt for Sienna with everything she had to deal with from her parents, to everything that followed that…. It was such a wild ride, seriously obsessed. Ander, Zayn, and Noah all equally beautiful, amazing, men bringing something different to the table for her. I partially called the twist, but wow it was still CRAZYYY!! I am definitely a fan for life and cannot wait for more. My ONLY complaint is I wish it was longer because I wasn’t ready to be done 😂😭🫶🏻
What to expect: 💀 Romantic Suspense 😈 Why Choose 🥵 Open Door 🏘️ College Setting ✌🏼 Multiple POV 🧐 Murder 💪🏻 Possessive MMC x3
Sienna is a 18 years old who loses her parents in a plane accident some weeks before starting college. Now she is a billionaire heiress alone in a new university far from home and from her only friend who lives in England, and who regrets her last words to her parents.
At her new college she will find herself in a love/lust triangle with 3 bestfriends, one being the stranger with who she had a sexy moment back in a bar in NY, the other is a cocky golden retriever who wanted to be with her since the first moment he saw her, and the last one is her bestfriend and first crush from her childhood who now hates her.
If trying to study why grieving and try to figure out her love life wasn’t enough, she will start to receive black dahlias with notes and seeing someone stalking her.
I really enjoyed how she gets the perfect combination of qualities in her boys and their hot moments.
And lets say that I discovered some of the mystery earlier than her but it still surprised me some, and how Sienna gets to be a real badass at the end it’s the cherry on top.
