Come and join the bubbly cast of characters coming this summer. An unfolding family drama of heartache, longing, friendship, and secrets on the island of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
Nantucket Heart is book eleven of the Nantucket Sunset series, a heart-wrenching yet hopeful family drama that unfolds between the glittering shores of Nantucket Island and Martha's Vineyard.
Katie writes women's fiction and clean, wholesome contemporary romance. She looks to everyday, real-life family issues to weave stories of heartfelt emotions, love and loss, and everything in between.
Come transport yourself to Martha's Vineyard: an island of vivid blue ocean, white sand, and a lively community of locals, who celebrate everything from the bright New England summers to the cold, yet cozy, snowcapped winters.
Another good read about the Copperfield family. Catherine is determined to write a book about her family’s history. She and her daughter Scarlett head to the city. Scarlett is concerned about a group of young women dressed in hippie style clothing who seem influenced by young men dressed in black. Most of the young women are from wealthy families, and they are preyed on at college.
Scarlett meets up with former schoolmate and friend Nathan, who reveals his sister is in the “cult”
Catherine realizes there is more to her grandparents story, when she visits Ellis Island. When some near and dear to Catherine is taken in by the cult, Scarlett reveals the information she has gathered for her documentary. Will the Copperfield family remain strong? Can young women be rescued from the cult?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
Nantucket Heart, set on both Nantucket Island and New York City, has two captivating story lines. Catherine Copperfield and her older daughter Scarlet are the main protagonists. Former journalist Catherine, stronger after beating cancer, is searching for some truth about her Italian ancestors. Scarlet, like her mother, is also hoping to solve a puzzle when she spies a strange group of young women on the island. The book really should be made into a movie. The elements of suspense and mystery add to the novel's success. Simply put, this is a satisfying read. Katie Winters has outdone herself with this book.
Nantucket Heart is book 11 in the Nantucket Sunset series by Katie Winters 4.5 stars
Catherine Cooperfield and Scarlet head to Ellis Island to find out more of her grandfather’s family’s history before and after leaving Italy for America but what they find is not what they expected…lots of twists, turns, family old and new, mystery involving another daughter, finding answers to question and more..
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Hold onto your hats—this is another incredible book from Katie Winters. This masterpiece has so many layers…it’s like a story within a story with yet another story. It’s really very good! As I mentioned, the storylines are incredible; the characters so special within their own unique ways; the plot twists and turns really keep you going; and the resolution is top notch. I can’t recommend this book enough…it’s amazingly good and you definitely need to add it to your TBR list. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally mesmerized by it.) ❤️❤️
Each book keeps getting better. Your creativity is astounding. The history coexisting with the present and the future was wonderful. The beliefs about women’s place in the home and outside the home in the past and the future collide in this story. The cult thinking is very disturbing and alive in our world today. Great work, Katie.
Whoa this was a page turner! This starts as Catherine writing a book about her grandfather and her family and turns into a crazy story about a cult that weaves two families together. Scarlet and Nathan’s search for his sister and the truth of her disappearance. How it all comes together is one of the best reads in awhile.
Katie Winters has woven two stories into one with care and feeling. I became close to the characters as I have in the other books of this series. I would love to jump into one of the books as a character who becomes part of the Copperfields, be it family or friend. Looking forward to the next book.
Katie Winters is my glimmer! She provides me with joy, happiness, peace, when I start to read her books! Nantucket Heart did not disappoint. A great read about real life situations, family connections, and friendship!
