I was almost reluctant to read this because of how the church is portrayed in today’s society, but L.Loren did a beautiful job of showing it’s not the church but people in the church. The characters are so believable and relatable and you are truly rooting for Gloria and being able to take back her life. I highly recommend this short story.
Such a great read! Dante Bendetti and his Angel Glori Gloria! This book went beyond what I expected. I loved the age gap. I thought that added some spice to the book. What really got my attention was the crazy ex-husband Morgan and his one flew over the cuckoos nest shenanigans. That man had his nerve! After all the ish, he put his ex-wife through! But no matter. Gloria had her Dante. In more ways than one! 😁
This book was such a delight to read. The character development was amazing, as well as the storyline. I hope we'll hear more from Dante, Gloria, and a possible DeLuca crossover in the near future. Cause that book I know will be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Kudos to L. Loren for an excellent addition to the Preacher's Kids series. I can't wait to read the next book.
No Weapons was a great read! I loved all characters in this book. Gloria and Dante kept me laughing along with Esther. I loved the story and recommend that you read this book.
Once again L. Loren tells a captivating and complete love story. I love that this an older couple that loves completely. There is truth in the quote beware of wolves in sheep's clothing. That ex husband of hers was no angel in white. I am glad Gloria and Dante found each other.
Dante and Glo’s story was a pleasure to read. The evilness of her ex was disturbing. When my girl was set free from him, she blossomed with Dante’s help. Her sister was a hoot.
I've heard that some preaches be the biggest devils and that ranged true with Morgan. He was a despicable man. What type of respected preacher not only cheats on his wife but sleeps with his son's girlfriend. Gloria told him the grave he dig for her to also dig one for himself. He should have listened. I liked Dante. Even though he was supposedly a mobster he was a good dude and perfect for Gloria.💝💝
Unfortunately the book had one of my pet peeves, no physical description. It made it impossible for me to connect to the characters. We had to wait almost to the end to find out that Dante was 45 to Gloria’s 57. It’s a big age gap and it was never discussed. Weird. The book also stayed very surface level. We still don’t know anything about Dante’s background. Does he have family? Is he really a Don? Etc.
Gloria married a jerk because her religious dad arranged it as a punishment and he was controlling man! After her dad died, her marriage finally fell apart from the weight of a serial cheating husband! After that, Gloria got the chance to live her life as a free woman!
