This book was about how Agatha's 2 brothers got in trouble and paul got expelled but Elliot didn't. She kept trying to break the rules to tell Dr.Creon, the principle, that Paul or Elliot should not have gotten expelled because all they did was wear earrings. I loved this play because it was funny when the chorus kept mimicking the principle. I would recommend this book to people who don't like uniforms.

this play is about a girl named Agatha Rex trying to stop Dr.Creon and his rules.I liked this play because all kids in my class got a scene to read.A part that I did not like about this book was that i got to read.i would recommend this play to the 7 graders so they can try something like us .

Agatha Rex is a girl that stand up for what she believes in is right. She risked her scholarship to show Mr.Crogmangnon ,the principal , that just because two people did the same thing they should be punished the same. The play was really good because there was emotions and I really liked it.

This play was about a girl that named Agatha Rex how went to a school that was very strict.She was always a good student but when it came to standing up for what she believed in she would do the most and even break the rules to stand up and make a point.I really liked this play because it shows what people are capable of doing to stick up for what they believe in and think is right.I would recommend this to someone how likes to read plays or a teacher that want to have a play in school while still learning something from that fun experience.

This book took place in a high school. And there was this principal named Dr.Creon and boy was he rude he was really mean. And there was this girl named Agatha Rex and she was so DISRESPECTFUL and didn't like rules she broke rules. And Agatha always broke the rules and she was going to get expelled or suspended by mean Dr.Creon. I liked this book because everybody got to be a voice of an actor and because it was interesting. I recommend this book to the next sixth graders because they will think its ok and cool . ;)

I liked this play because I got to hear the characters in different ways depending of how the person talked. The play was at a school and one day someone broke the rule and then another person started breaking the rules too and then some students of the school started protesting. They started protesting and after that, they agreed to have a meeting with the principal to have the same punishment with all the students that broke the rules to make the punishment the same for everyone who broke the rules. I would recommend this play to my cousin because in his school he is learning about Agatha.

I thought this book was really inspiring. My favorite part was when Agatha stood up to Dr.Crean and his rule book because his rule book had a lot of rules and they really couldn't have any fun with all those rules. My least favorite part was when Dr.Crean wouldn't let Agatha's brothers go because they wore earrings to school. I would recommend this book to my sister because she loves doing action plays and she makes them up at home and play them in front us.

This book was "alright," to me. It's about a girl named Agatha who is a well-behaved girl at home and school. Suddenly after her brothers have been expelled, she begins to show an odd behavior. She dyes her hair green , and does more peculiar activities. Although, I didn't really find this book interesting, and it didn't really grab my attention. I would recommend this book to my cousin because she would like books like this.

In this poem, it tells a play about student in a high school trying to ban uniform and other stuff like that and then Agatha paints her hair green and that violates the school rule and try to make it a no school rule. I would rate this book 2 . I would recommend this book to people who like free dress rule and how to do it.

For this play, I would put it in the section of comedy/action. In this play, we meet a girl named Agatha Rex who is in high school who tries to stand up for her rights because her friends who break the rules in school.I think that in some points in the story you can't really imagine where they are or hat there doing.THats why I give this book a four star rating.

This book was great! I loved how the characters were fighting against the principal I thought it was funny. I just wish there would be more to the story because it's short. I also liked this book because it had some action and it made it enjoyable. Although, I just liked this book!

Agatha Rex is a modern adaptation of the Greek tragedy Antigone by Sophocles and places the female lead in a high school motivated to defend a student who is unfairly punished and push back against a strict school community despite threats of expulsion. Using the Comparing and Contrasting ABC's chart from Kylene Beers to show the difference between pieces of the original Antigone and Agatha Rex will help students explore how these two communities differ depending on the time period and how the potential punishments differ as well. The original play is much more gruesome and complicated than the modern interpretation but it adds another perspective to their ideas about communities and how their members conform together against an individual.

(Unrelated point: Most of the other Goodreads reviews on this play seem to have been written by a 7th grade class as a summary assignment and it was very interesting to read through their opinions and perspectives)

I really liked it because it was based on something that every kid doesn't like which is uniform. It was about a girl named Agatha and two of her friends got earrings and one got suspended and the other one got kicked out of the school. She thought that wasn't fair because they both did the same thing so she did lots of stuff that weren't allowed to do at school like she died her hair didn't follow directions and other stuff. I recommend this book to everyone because everything in the book is true and it might even be something that every kid would want to do because they don't like a rule.

This book was about a play that kids did in their school. The place was called Thebes high. The high school was very strict to the students they did not let them use any hats,no jewelry. If they catch you, you will be expelled. The story focus on a girl named Agatha Rex she is a sister to Paul Rex. Paul is a trouble maker he gets in trouble a lot. Then one day he got expelled and that made Agatha very mad and she did stuff so she can get expelled too and then they have a talk with the principle and then Paul rex gets unexpelled.

This book was about a girl who had two brothers and was a very special student for her school. But when she found out that one of her brothers was getting expelled even though both of her brothers did the same thing, her attitude changed. She started dying her hair green because she thought that people should do what they believe in. I would recommend this book/play to all the people who like book about doing the right things.

This book was great. In the book, Her brothers got in trouble and only one of them got expelled. Agatha thought that it's wasn't fair so she took a risk and broke one 0f the rules. She wanted to stand up for her brother because it's not fair that both boys don't get the same punishment when they did the same thing. She wanted everyone to stand with her to show Dr.Ceon that rules aren't always right. I recommend this book to kids who want to take a stand for what's right.

This book was about a girl named Agatha Rex and she standed up for what she believes in. She thought it was unfair that elliot didnt get expelled for getting an ear peirced but paul did. So Agatha try to prove a point that that is unfair and the rules are stupid. I really enjoyed this play one main reasons because I had fun playing the charcters. I will reccomend this book who thinks they cant prove a point because everybody can prove a point if they just believe.

When Agatha's brother got expelled from school for wearing earnings. So, Agatha made a demand to Dr.Creon. Dr. Creon didn't really care for Agatha's opinion. So Agatha started breaking the rules, by painted her hair and wearing a baseball cap. I liked this book because everyone got a role in the book, and everyone read. I recommend this book to the 5th graders because everyone could start reading a role in the book.

This book was about that Agatha is a person and she's a top student and she trying to help Paul and Elliot to not get in trouble from Dr.Creon. What I feel about this book is about teamwork because the chorus members are saying that we should go on Agatha's side so they can beat Dr.Creon. What I thought of Agatha rex was about when she had came to a school and she was trying to fight to not wear uniforms. and she had friends and family had gave her advice and the whole school was calling her name like she was famous. and her friends dad named dr.creon had told his son i should expell agatha and he said if you are going to expell agatha then you are going to expell me.

The book,"Agatha Rex," was about a girl called Agatha Rex and her brother Paul. Paul got expelled and Agatha and her friends are trying to tell the vice principle to not expel him. The vice principle told Agatha and her friends they should stop, or they will also get expelled. Luckily Paul told Agatha to stop fighting for him because he dosen't want Agatha to get expelled as he did.

I like Agatha Rex because you don't know what a student can do and how they can fix a school. This play was funny and weird and I think it very interesting. I didn´t know that Dr.Creon was Agathaś dad or Paul´s or I don't know , I forgot who´s dad was it. I could image Agatha having her hair green, if I was her then I would just put it on the tips not like my whole hair. If it was a movie then that would be really interesting. I recommend this book or play to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
