Another Jinx Novella! This one takes place before she starts the mateing bond, and while her best friend is deathly ill. In this sweet story, Jinx must save an orphan child Christmas after a special bag goes missing. There's also a date with our dragon shifter!

Love this series

What a gorgeous feel good read! It was awesome seeing the normally outwardly unemotional Amber show her true heart. She enlists Jinx to help her ward Jade, find a lost item. I adored the closeness Amber and Jinx have, a bit hidden but it's very much there. This was a short story, but heck does it pack a punch! Right to my heart! This was properly the most emotional read of the series, my heart was torn in two, so many feels! Oh and was the honour fabulous! I was laughing out loud so much! What fabulous insight into both Amber and Jinx, and a bit more of Amber's role in the Coven. And the date! Oh my word, that was something else, Amber helping Jinx get ready for a date with Emory, absolutely stunning! All the classic trademarks of Ms Harris, humour, angst, secrets, a mystery to solve, action, incredible storytelling in an incredible world and the most incredible characters!
I loved this novella! It has a warm/HEA Christmas feel to it. So beautifully set out, easy to follow and OMG Jade had my heart in shreds! But the love and hope infused throughout, is just beautiful. My favourite part is the stoic/unapproachable/brusque Amber helping Jess get ready for her date with Emory! Superb!!!! There's mystery, love, hope, action, an awesome date, which is really a highlight in this novella! I simply loved it

A bit directionless. The case with Christmas sack was solved early and the suddenly it was Jinx and Emory went on a date plot. Felt like two stories knitted into one 🤷♀️. Bummer since I enjoyed the mystery plot.

A perfect blend of holiday fluff!
I had a listen to this audiobook while preparing for Christmas and it was perfect for that. As usual, Alyse Gibbs does a fantastic job on the narration.
The best part, though, was that after solving the Mystery of the Missing Christmas Sack for a poor little orphan girl, Jinx gets ready to go on her second date with Emory. Since I am in no danger of ever dating a billionaire dragon king, I have to live vicariously through Jinx - and this date definitely delivered!
Also, as a Great Dane owner, I am thankful to the author for cautioning others that commenting about a large dog being a horse and needing a saddle are, in fact, not original thoughts at all, and perhaps it is not necessary to say them out loud. Like, ever.

Every time I read a book by this author, I just fall in love with the same characters all over again like they are new to me. I haven’t read the series with Jinx yet, but this latest novella just makes me want to. Jinx, Gato, and Emory are such great characters, and I love seeing Amber again after reading Lucy’s series. This novella made me laugh, cry, and gasp in surprise. This is a great side addition to either series, and I can’t wait to read more by this author. Highly recommend.

This was a cute, fun short read in which Jinx is hired by witch Amber DeLea to find a missing Christmas sack. Nothing more than that, but the sack has great sentimental value to its owner and we get to see Jinx in action following the threads of others' lies to find it.
I loved that we got to learn more of Amber's role within the coven and the interactions between Amber and Jinx were definitely the start of a new friendship.
And that date with Emory was just the best! How on earth will he top this one?!

What a heart warming book. I forgot it's in my library and was so great seeing my favourite characters again. Jinx and Emory had such a romantic date with Gato in tow. Amber showed her not to be known nice side.

💓🎄✨ Aww, what a beautiful Christmas novella. I adore Jinx, Emory and Gato, so this was a true delight to read.
A wonderful addition to a series I love reading and rereading.
I got all mushy at the Christmas pillowcase bit, remembering when I was a little girl choosing my pillowcase for Father Christmas. I haven't thought about that in a very long time, so yeah I definitely got all mushy.

Jinx gets a visit from Amber DeLea of all people, right before Christmas.
It seems that one of the children in her coven has lost something, and needs help finding it, and she believes that Jinx is the only person that can help her?
When it turns out to be a Christmas stocking, Jinx is initially a bit surprised, until she learns that the stocking came from her Parents, Parents who have since passed away, and now if she doesn’t have this stocking, her belief in Christmas and Santa will be dashed forever.
Jinx vows that she will find the stocking before Christmas, as the little girl, Jade, hits a nerve in her, and she just can’t let her down.
This is a Novella, so not a full story, but it is still a fantastic addition to the Other Realm series and well worth the read for any fan of the series.
It gives some good insight into Jinx, and it also provides some background into the opening relationship of Emory and Jinx, not to mention, showing some of the reason that Jinx and Amber are actually such good friends (even though Amber will never admit that).
The story follows a very interesting tale, as it is not as simple as first thought, and Jinx gets to learn a lot about Coven life, the two Witches who are now looking after young Jade, as well as what happened to her parents.
It is a really fantastic story, but I will warn you now, you will need a box of tissues.
Whilst it has all of the usual aspects of an Other Realm story, and you will be laughing yourself crazy at points, and getting into the action in other parts, there are a couple of points where you will feel your heart crushed in a vice and if you don’t at least tear up a bit, you have to be made of stone.
As with all of Harris’s stories, the Character work is brilliant, as well get to learn a lot more about Jinx, and the amazing person she is. As stated earlier, the character we also get to see a lot more of, is Amber DeLea though, with some great insight into who she is, what she does within the Coven, and the bond that forms with Jinx. There is a lot to Amber we don’t know, and her stories are going to be really fascinating to read.
This is a must read for any fan of the series!!

First off, I confess I actually forgot to read this between books 2 and 3 so thought I'd squeeze it in before continuing book 4 (I only realised I'd missed it after looking for something else in my kindle). And yes I know it's a Christmas story but who doesn't love a Christmas story even if it is April. This had everything I've come to love about Heather's writing, a feel good, humorous read which pulls at the heartstrings in all the right places. At only 82 pages, it packs quite a punch and I loved everything about it.
It gave me more of an insight to the character of Amber, who comes across as a bit hard with her snarky but sassy attitude, making me realise that she does have a ooey gooey centre after all. And when her and Jinx have a girl bonding moment when Amber helped her get ready for her date with Emory, it just cemented in my heart just how much I'm already loving this character, and how much I'm looking forward to getting to her series.
Add in a small mystery for Jinx to solve, a possible solution for helping Lucy and exciting date with a dragon and you've got all the fuzzy vibes you need. Yep totally adored this 😁

I love this series sooooo much!
This is a Novella that takes place after Book 2. It is a wonderful story where Jinx successfully completes a couple of jobs, sees a bit more of Amber and the witchy-side of life THEN gets to go on a FANTASTIC DATE with the yummy Prime Elite - Emory (heart eyes). This is one of my dearest favorites.
I voraciously read every last story and am now listening to the audio because it adds another layer to the story.
Alyse Gibbs (Narrator) is amazing. She does such a great job of bringing the story to life, capturing the essence of the characters, and the mood of the moment.
I love these characters so much - and the audio brings them to life.

This was a cute short story. Gato per usual is the best character. Jinx is cool even with her time travel decisions. I am still not loving Emory or his relationship with Jinx. I am really trying to pinpoint why. Sure it was instalove but Stone did that too and I liked him. Maybe it's because he feels kind of flat and unnecessary. He doesn't feel like a real person he's just there to provide the occasional info and to be the object of Jinx's lusty thoughts. Hopefully this will get better for me in the third book. It will be very disappointing if it doesn't. Usually if I like the first couple books I know I will probably like them all. This series might be the one that breaks that trend for me. Which would be a pity since I already bought the rest of the books.

A visual treat in the Glimmer series, this holiday novella gives us a little more insight into the beginning of the relationship between Jinx and Emory.
Like all the Glimmer books, we get a little mystery for PI Jinx to solve, a goofy intro scene with the crazy side of Private investigating, and fun creature interactions.
The Christmas gift was a prize to readers, as the author held a contest, and the winning idea is the gift that Jinx gives Emory. You'll have to read to see what it was!
Overall, a great addition to the series, fun, lighthearted, and full of holiday cheer!

I have to say the opening of this book is not quite what I expected in a Christmas tale. However, seeing as Jinx is a PI it kind of fits, at least the husband wasn't cheating.
After grabbing a hot drink and sausages for her and Gato, Jinx goes to the office. Apparently, she has a client waiting and Verona didn't call her. She may be Lord Volderiss' secretary but she sure isn't good at being Jinx's.
The client waiting for her is Amber DeLea and she wasn't alone.
What follows is an investigation to find Jade's Christmas Sack, that is full of fun, lessons, happiness, and a romantic date with Emory.
This is a wonderful Christmas addition to this series.

This Christmas Novella set in the Glimmer world is a treat! I actually laughed and actually cried while I read this touching and very entertaining tale. Ms. Harris writes with so much depth and tells such wonderful stories that I can't get enough of them! These characters are friends and their world is fascinating, so this was a welcome Christmas treat. Also, the question of what to give a dragon for Christmas has now been answered! Listening to the audio version makes it even more charming; the narrator is perfect!

Three Nicely Intertwined Stories
This short story manages to pack three interesting stories into a single integrated tale. The character development for Jessica is well done. We truly get to know her through her narrative and dialogue. The world view was not as clear but it was sufficient to carry the story. I enjoyed this short romp through the Christmas holiday. I had to make some minor adjustments for the English spelling and expressions. They didn’t detract from enjoying the story.

It is a heart warming little novella that any fan of the series will enjoy.
When I initially picked it up I was a bit disappointed it was set prior to Lucy's storyline as I wanted to see all my favourites together at Christmas. But it certainly proved me wrong and I really enjoyed it.
