I got this "stalker romance" for free on my Kindle. Mitchel and I read it out loud together because it was only 43 pages. Two stars for the story (it was pretty bad) but four stars for entertainment value (we laughed a lot)

His Fire is part of the Snowflake Falls Fire Department series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, grumpy-sunshine, safe stalker, curvy girl gets her firefighter romance. Ava is a sweet, strong, and curvy PA. Taylan (Tay) is a hunky, grumpy, sexy, nerdy firefighter. Ava has a stepfather who has been threatening her and her family. Tay has been stalking Ava to keep her safe ever since the fire chief, who is dating Ava's sister, Mila, asked him to look into the stepfather, since he is smart and good with computers and research. From the moment he saw Ava, he knew he wanted to be with her. The two meet, and she is initially put off, but their paths cross again, and sparks fly. When her stepfather comes around again, can Tay keep her safe? And what happens when she finds out he has been watching her? This couple had such great chemistry. I'm a sucker for a hunky, nerdy bookworm, and Tay was all that, plus a hottie fireman = totally swoon-worthy. We also got a great HEA after the drama was resolved. I can't wait for Dean's story next!!!.

Ava, her mum and sister have moved to Snowflake Falls to rebuild their lives away from their abusive Stepfather and are hoping that they are far enough away that he won’t be able to find them. But that doesn’t stop her from worrying that he will eventually find them and that leaves her on her guard at all times. Since moving to Snowflake Falls, she has watched her sister find love with Fire Chief for the town but love isn’t even on her radar, that is until she meets Tay. But with Ava’s past never that far away will she let Tay into her life and into her heart?
Tay has been watching Ava ever since his boss and town Fire Chief Brock became aware that they were living in Snowflake Falls escaping their stepfather, there was no way that he was going to leave them vulnerable to an attack. This time it is the big, quiet, computer nerd of the department who claims the woman he has fallen for, Ava, the sister of Mila who is now living with the fire chief, Brock. When Mila had opened up to Brock about how her, her mother and sister had moved to town he asked Tay to look into things. That meant diving into Ava's background and also their stepfather, who they all fled from. Tay has the ability to really watch over Ava in different ways. This comes in handy when her stepfather tracks them down and demands the return of some things. It is Tay who will ensure that Ava is kept safe and protected, and that her stepfather is finally dealt what he deserves. But when Ava finds out just what he has been doing will she just think he is a stalker or will he be able to show her that he is really in love with her and that he just wanted to make sure she was safe?
This is a quick read with a fast-paced and "energetic" story. I liked the characters but would have loved a bit more depth to them. But then again you can't really get deep when the book is so short. Overall it was an entertaining and smexy read.

Breaking news: local man discovers a woman is being followed and stalks her to make her feel safe! In other news, he will continue to never just mention that he did a background check on the family even when it would be fully logical within the narrative!
Jokes aside, this was… well, it was short for sure. The smut was kinda eh, didn’t really get into it. It wasn’t written with much passion and felt more like someone keeping protocol.
A couple very basic mistakes like missing a space between words. The writing is extremely rushed with very little emotional depth.
Plot is straightforward, characters are either caricatures (generic abusive stepdad) or have no real personality (Ava and Taylan).
I‘m not sure why Taylan and Ava are even together. Taylan looled at her and “just knew” she was the one and also gets hard every time he looks at her. Ava is just like “alright sure we’ll date.”
The epilogue set up future books rather than giving Ava and Taylan a satisfying ending.
I probably won’t read more from this series, it’s a good read if you just want to read a fast paced story.

However, Taylan wasn’t really put off by her behaviour, as he already knew why she reacted that way, so he resolved to keep her safe from afar. Ava soon found herself accepting help from Taylan when she was in a bind, which led to them getting to know each other better and engaging in a dalliance.
Unfortunately, a misunderstanding caused friction between Ava and Taylan, which led to her life being put in danger, but he was able to rescue her in time and get rid of the threat to her safety permanently. As luck would have it, Taylan and Ava were able to resolve their differences, so they could get back on track toward having the happy life they both deserved.
This story is about the intricate dance of danger and desire, by complex characters with raw emotions, who find themselves in intense situations, that lead to a wonderful outcome.

Once again Jessa Joy has given us a dang hot and sexy short story. The characters are the best. Ava has moved to Snowflake Falls to get away from her stepfather who is evil and dangerous and trying to destroy her family. She wants to start a new life with her sister and mom. They are always on the lookout for him. Taylan is a geeky, computer wizard and is also a firefighter. He has been tracking Ava’s stepfather and trying to keep Ava safe. When Taylan first saw Ava he was hit hard. He knew this woman was going to be someone special. Ava doesn’t feel the same. The characters are lovable, funny, entertaining, sizzling and as they get to know each other - they both do feel a connection- they feel comfortable with each other, everything feels so-o-o good. It’s a tender, lovable, heartwarming, sweet story! You can’t go wrong when you have a sweet, curvy woman with kissable lips, a hot, muscular firefighter and a dog named Poupon. Super entertaining and enjoyable read! I loved it!!.

i loved how firefighter Taylan has been gone over Ava since the moment he saw her picture. He is a nerdy computer guy who loves to read, and use his Sherlock skills. He was looking out for his friend when he originally looked into his friend Brock's girlfriend. He didn't expect her sister to blow him away.
Ava is trying to enjoy a fresh start, and a chance for her mom, sister and her to have a life of their own. After escaping a disaster of a stepdad, she can't help but alway feel under his thumb.
Taylan, bless his stinking heart, tried to make their first meeting go well, but not so much. He isn't giving up, and boy is it delicious. Ava has her world rocked when she realizes she needs help but will never be alone again.
I loved how these two used humor and sarcasm to get to know and fall in love with each other. It was fast, shocking, SPICY, and oh so yummy vibes. You'll want your own firefighter!

Taylan is a gorgeous firefighter. Ava is a PA. Ava’s sister is dating the fire chief. He has tasked Taylan with finding out about their past because Ava’s sister mentions problems with their stepfather. Taylan does a great job at finding out all about their stepfather and begins stalking Ava to ensure her safety. He knew the moment that he saw Ava that she was meant to be with him.
This book brought out so many emotions in this short book. It definitely had all the feels and the steam was HOT! This author is fantastic and I always enjoy her books. I highly recommend this book!.

Taylan, the big, gruff and somewhat geeky firefighter has technically been stalking the beautiful, younger Ava since the fire chief (and Ava's future bro-in-law) has had him looking into the sisters' nefarious stepfather. However, there are instant sparks between the two. When Tay has to step in to keep her safe, will she fall into his arms - or will she push him away when she discovers how close he's been all along? An entertaining, quick, steamy read.

Taylan and Ava have a fast paced, smutty novella that will leave you wanting to know more about them. Their story is entertaining and sweet. Taylan is ready to be with Ava from the moment he learns about her. It’s cute how he uses his skills to look over her. Ava is jaded from her mom’s last relationship and doesn’t think that Taylan is sincere. However, Taylan will not back down. They are great together. I can’t wait for the next book.

When her sister Mila started working for the Fire Department, Brock had Taylan/Sherlock look into the problems they had. From that moment he knew Ava was the one for him. He kinda flubs his first interaction with Ava, sounding like a stalker. He needs to convince the beauty he is in for the long haul and help how ever she needs.

I loved His Fire. Ava needs help but doesn’t know who to turn to. Taylan has come to care about Ava even though she doesn’t know who he is, he’s been investigating her stepfather for his boss. He knows the trouble she’s in but he makes himself seem more like a stalker than a romantic interest. Can he show Ava he’s really in its for the long haul? I loved this short and sweet story, and the characters. He will do anything to protect her. I would definitely recommend this book and he series.

Taylan researched Ava's family for his boss the fire chief after he got involved with her sister. Taylan saw a photo of Ava and instantly knew she is his One. But her stepfather threatens her family so Taylan tries to keep her safe from afar. He finally talks to her and they fall head over heels for each other , but her stepfather is in town and threatens Taylans woman. Instalove, sweet, steamy, lite stalking, grumpy/sunshine, romantic with a bit of action and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for Dean's story.

The writing is good, the characters are likable and the ending is great. His Fire is book three and a great addition to the Snowflake Falls Fire Department series. This is a short book with an intense plot. Ava, her Mom, and sister are on the run from her violent stepfather. Taylan is a firefighter who has been watching her from a distance, following his chief's instructions. I love the way Taylan helped Ava and their connection. Excellent book!

Another great one!
His Fire is book three, and if you haven’t read the other two first I’d suggest doing so. You can completely read these as stand alones but each book has previous characters and little bits of overlap that make it better to read in order (personally). I will say Tay is described as a grump but it really didn’t give the grumpy vibe. Either way it was a cute story with some action!

Another great read!
Snowflake Falls is the place to fall in love! There are plenty of firefighters who can take your breath away in the heartbeat. They are all very handsome, trustworthy, kind, and sexy ad hell! What woman in her right mind could pass that up? None that's correct and believe me they don't even try lol 😊!

As always, Jessa gives us an amazing story. I got pulled in right from the beginning. I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline. I really liked how everything played out. So good. Y'all are gonna love this one. I can't wait to read the next one. Enjoy.

This romance book is going to set off a 5 alarm fire 🔥 it’s that HOT. Ava and Taylan are FIREY and set the fireworks off with their chemistry. This book is a quick read but holds nothing back in the romance department. 5/5 star read.
