Incredibly good set of short stories, some horrifying and scary and some sweet. Well, as sweet as a zombie/post-apocalyptic story can be :)

"The Time Hangs Heavy" by Angel Propps - Lou shoots a woman on the sidewalk through his window and when the neighbors break into his house they find him in the attic next to the long-dead bodies of his wife and son he had placed in a closet.

"Dance of the Furrowed Godess" by Bruce Golden - Miranda is an aging exotic dancer who travels to an alien planet where the natives don't live long enough to develop wrinkles so they find her bodily characteristics beautiful.
