Rate this book
In the world of Terra Everna, where shadows dance with the light and destinies are woven by unseen hands, a tale unfolds. Robert Chandler, forged in the fires of childhood grudges and sorrows, emerges as a stalwart soldier and skilled bounty hunter. Alongside him strides Cristophe, a man unburdened by the weight of expectation, relishing in the freedom of his own choices until fate's hand thrusts him into the heart of chaos.

Into this fray steps Carolyn Deveraux, a mage whose magic is matched only by her sympathy and allure. Yet, beneath her charm lies a sharp tongue and an unwavering confidence that borders on arrogance. As they journey, they encounter Paolo Marvellini, a dwarf whose healing hands and gentle demeanor belie the strength of his resolve as a Vadisian priest.

Completing their band is Lavennia Iris, an elf whose laughter rings through the forest as surely as her arrows find their mark. A show-off she may be, but her skill with bow and enchantments is undeniable.

United by the whims of destiny, these five souls embark on a quest to quell the resurgence of darkness that threatens to engulf Terra Everna once more. Their the Heir of Vordac, the Dark Overlord whose very name strikes fear into the hearts of mortals. As they stand together against the encroaching tide of chaos, their bonds will be tested, and the fate of their world will hang in the balance.

Come forth, Paladins! Fulfill your destiny!

- Some characters will show up in other Everna Saga stories.
- Detailed actions with wuxia martial art style fights.
- Dragons and a wide variety of fantastic creatures.

Greetings, Earthlings!

I'm a shop owner by day and a pilgrim of fantasy realms by night.
As a shapeshifter in the online world, known by the nickname "Vadis", I visit one world and another, learning a thing or two.

The results? They're my debut novel, FireHeart, and a score of multimedia products: Games, cartoons, comics, and such under intellectual property brands like Everna Saga, Adilaga, etc.

And I always hunger to make more.

Another free kindle read and this is better than others I’ve read. There’s a good plot and the world is fleshed out but it could use some beta readers to point out the confusing parts.

There are a lot of things that are over explained, explained at an odd time, or explained in a way that takes you out of the story. For example:

Telling the reader the name of a weapon in the middle of a battle is confusing. Like people are bleeding and dying and fighting for their lives but we need to know the name of one weapon (not even all of them) right NOW?

If the weapon’s name was that important instead of saying “Caeleth quickly grasped the base of the trident named Esthagar saying ’Let me borrow your wand and finish this’”

The name could have been introduced in a smoother way. “Allow me to lend Esthagar my power so we can finish this!” Caeleth yells grabbing the trident and aiming for his enemy.

Also a lot of telling not showing. Telling the reader that the men are handsome and the women are cute. How are they handsome and to who? Who considers them handsome?

Middle
The narrator constantly switches between calling the characters their name and calling them by the color of their hair. Why? I already know the characters names they’ve been introduced multiple times at this point. It’s not like the narrator changes and we are in a new character’s head who doesn’t know who they are. It’s the same narrator.

End
It started to feel rushed and there were multiple things “revealed” that we weren’t there for. Like at some point Carol was like ohh you sent me and Chris to help Rob. When? We didn’t see that conversation so why tell us this? The love between the couples could have been more dynamic. I didn’t believe any of these people were in love.

Overall the plot was good execution needs some work.
