Solstice: The Goddess Awakens

Rate this book
Intelligent, loyal and fiery, Lola Paige is an aspiring journalist. Just like any other 18-year-old Irish girl on the cusp of adulthood, her world doesn’t stretch far beyond university, her friends, family and football.
However, Lola's life is irrevocably transformed when she is propelled, unwittingly, into an age-old battle between the forces of light and darkness.
Lola treads a murky and treacherous path, where ancient magick, mythology and conspiracy must joust to the death.
This voyage leads our reluctant heroine to Ireland’s most sacred and magical sites where she soon discovers that there can be only one victor.
The line has been drawn, the stage is set, will Lola have what it takes to prevail?

Wow, this was a terrific novel. I loved the Irish mythology aspects it was really unique. I absolutely adored the friendship aspect between Lola and Aibgrene. The romance... I have never been so conflicted in my life! Do I Love it , do I hate it, I don't know. It's rare now for a book to keep me up to 2:15 in the morning but Solstice: The Goddess Awakens is such a treasure that it deserves it. Excellent characterisation and so much suspense I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!
