Between the Realms

Jennifer Kovich, a retired teacher with plenty of free time, often reminisces about her past. In particular, she can’t help but think back to her time as a groupie in the seventies and dating her rockstar boyfriend, Dylan Anderson. Perhaps it’s because of her recent separation from her husband. But one night, as she daydreams about being back in the club where she met Dylan in 1976, something strange happens: she physically finds herself back in the very same nightclub.

Unbeknownst to her, Dylan has cast a spell to transport both of them back in time. He longs for their relationship to be restored and for an era where he felt he belonged. However, the couple faces great risks as Jennifer becomes suspicious and begins to investigate. She uncovers clues that shed light on how they ended up in the past.

Jennifer grapples with the realization that she can revisit cherished memories with her family, bringing up intense emotions while also feeling strong sexual chemistry with Dylan. She must piece together how she ended up in this situation and find a way to return to her own time. As she delves into the mystery of teleportation and uncovers a dangerous cult a charming stranger appears and offers to help her return to 2023, making her wonder about his true intentions.

Lorraine Carey is one of my favorite writers. Her novels are always intriguing, exciting and amazing. Each one of her books had me hooked from the first page to the last. I had been waiting for her next book and here it is!!!!!!! “BETWEEN THE REALMS”
The author has outdone herself in this fabulous novel. The characters are wonderful and the plot is filled with adventure, romance and danger from the beginning to the very end. Time travel is my favorite topic. I walked around the house with the book in my hand I just could not put it down.
I loved Dylan’s desire to go back in time and relive some of the happiest moments in his life. Jennifer was the girl he loved back in the 70s and he decided to take her back with him to a time when everything seemed to be so perfect and so simple.
The desire to go back was accomplished but never they realized the dangers they had to face while trying to get back to the present time.
This is and irresistible plot that will keep you captivated in each word and each page. I finished the book but I wanted more.
This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves time travel, excitement, danger and romance. Good job Lorraine!!!!!!!!!

The atmosphere in this novel was excellent. Lorraine Carey did a great job capturing the emotional pull of the 70s while also creating a darker supernatural mystery underneath it all. I especially liked the cult storyline because it added tension and unpredictability. A few scenes felt slightly drawn out, but overall the story was immersive and entertaining.

Between the Realms is a paranormal romance novel by Lorraine Carey. In the present, Dylan Anderson, former lead guitarist of the 70s rock band Ablaze, dreams of his glory days and his former lover, Jennifer Kovich. When he finds a way to travel back in time, he uses a spell that transports Jennifer to 1976. Unaware of Dylan's actions, Jennifer is taken aback when she finds herself as a young woman in 1976. She meets Dylan, and their mutual attraction soon leads to a passionate affair. However, Jennifer also misses her old life and her loved ones in the future. She teams up with a young university student named Paul, who uses his connections with Orion's Path, a cult, to help Jennifer find her way back to the future. But the cult's leader, Troy Duncan, has his own plans.

If you're a fan of time travel romance stories, Between the Realms is just the book you're looking for. Lorraine Carey uses an intoxicating brew of romance and mystery with a tinge of the paranormal to take you on a captivating time travel adventure odyssey you don't want to end. With an absorbing narrative, Carey captures the vibe and atmosphere of the 1970s flawlessly, offering readers a chance to immerse themselves in the golden era of rock and roll. The characters are not only well-developed but also very likable for the most part. While Jennifer's interactions with Dylan are entertaining, I also enjoyed her friendship with Paul. The plot has its share of surprises to keep readers hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and heartily recommend it to romance lovers who don't mind dipping their toes into the paranormal genre.

"Embark on a journey through time with Dylan Anderson, where love, danger, and the irresistible pull of a past era collide. Will he find a way back to the present, or is he forever trapped in the '70s?"

Busting All the Right Moves!

Author Lorraine Carey’s novel in the genre of Time Travel Romance is “ablaze” with passion between groupie, Jennifer Kovich, and lead guitarist of a local band, Dylan Anderson. The author busts all the right moves bringing the Seventies alive through infusing the story with time-sensitive fashion, glittery makeup, a rooster-motif kitchen, muscle cars, strobe lights, and whatever rocked the era.

The edgy story featuring characters who step out of the pages and into the reader’s psyche, is fraught with suspense, danger, sinister motives, and heartwarming family dynamics. The concepts of time travel woven throughout are plausible and scientifically digestible.

I highly recommend ‘Between the Realms’ which pulsates with all the electrifying energy of “Smoke on the Water”.

A gripping and deeply satisfying time travel tale! While Jenn loves revisiting her parents, best friend, and the sights and sounds of her youth in the 1970s, will it be enough for her to want to stay?As much as this is a story about time travel, it’s also about aging—about a woman who loves her present life as an older woman in 2023. Since I was a teenager during the ‘70s, I especially loved the references to that time period—especially the clothing and music of that era. Will Jenn return to the life she created or become stuck in the past? The burning question will keep you flipping the pages!

Take a Journey Between the Realms, a time-traveling adventure with Dylan, a lead guitarist stuck in a mysterious cult, and his blast from his past girlfriend, Jennifer Kovich. This story will take you to an incredible place of magic, secrets, action, danger, and much more.

I was intrigued by the author's writing and imagination. She took me out of my reality and into her mind with so many plots and twists that I had to turn the page for more. It was in the 70 era, which I enjoyed immensely.

I highly recommend this captivating tale.

I really enjoyed the overall concept of this book. The combination of time travel, music nostalgia, and paranormal suspense felt fresh and creative. Some parts in the middle moved a little slower for me, but the strong emotional themes kept me invested. Dylan’s obsession with reliving the past added depth to the story, and Jennifer was a character I genuinely cared about. Definitely worth reading if you enjoy supernatural fiction with emotional layers.

This is a book about time travel. An old boyfriend tricks her in going back in time by using one of band's songs and it works. From 2023 back to 1976. She begins to figure out the time travel with the help of a professor and a fellow college student. Comparisons between then and now, loved it. I kept reading the last 2 days to find out if she makes it back. Characters are interesting. I recommend it.

I felt as though I was back in the 70's along with the main character with the author describing the settings so vividly. I enjoyed reading about the science behind the time travel methods used. I was torn just as Jennifer was whether to stay in the past or return to the future. A highly recommended romance read!

This ended up being one of my favorite paranormal reads recently. The emotional connection between Dylan and Jennifer made the story feel grounded even when the supernatural elements became intense. I loved the suspense surrounding the spell and the possibility of becoming trapped in another timeline. The ending was satisfying and memorable.

The premise was very interesting and definitely unique. I liked the idea of mixing nostalgia, romance, and time travel together. Personally, I found Dylan frustrating at times because of his reckless choices, but I think that was intentional. While some sections moved slower than I expected, the mystery kept me curious enough to finish the book.

The emotional themes in this book surprised me the most. Underneath the fantasy and suspense is a story about regret, obsession, and the temptation to escape reality by living in the past. That emotional depth gave the story much more impact than I expected. I finished it in two days because I needed to know how it ended.

This book felt incredibly cinematic while reading. The scenes were vivid, and I could easily picture everything unfolding like a movie. I especially enjoyed the darker atmosphere in the second half of the story. The pacing was uneven in a few places, but overall it was a creative and engaging read.
