Sometimes, the only thing standing between you and the love you want—is you.

Beth ~ Losing my husband two months before our son was born forced me to accept my new role as a single mother. But after five years, I was ready to move on. And Chase wanted a daddy. But every date was a dud, and no one was even close to being Chase-worthy. That all changed when I went on a coffee run with Doug, a tall, sexy, red headed PI.

Doug ~ After disappointing my family and my now ex-wife, I decided to leave Chicago. Accepting the PI job in Weatherford, TX was just the reboot I needed. It was the decision that led me to SSI, and Beth. A woman I could imagine spending the rest of my life with. But first, I’d have to confess something that could drive her away.

Just as their love starts to bloom, Beth's worst nightmare comes true, throwing her world into chaos. As her fear stirs up memories of the past, she pushes Doug away. They'll have to conquer their current threat and heal from the past before they can have the futures they want.

This standalone, third in series, small town, romantic suspense features a widow and single mother, and a sexy younger man with a secret. They'll get their HEA, but only after getting out of their own way. The action, and Chase’s abduction, may not be for everyone. Use Read Sample to check the copyright page for details

This is the third book in the Sheppard & Sons Investigations.
It tore at my heart, made me laugh, and so much more. Beth is a widower with a little boy named Chase who for me stole the show. Beth looks up to everyone who works at SSI as they have helped her through so much when she lost her husband, and had Chase. Beth works at Grannies. She loves it there. An incident happens, and everyone at SSI gets involved. All hands on deck. Doug knows it’s been just a little while since he’s been dating Beth, but he wants her to know he will do everything in his power to find Chase.
I loved the first two book in this series, but I truly loved this one too. As I said Chase stole the show. He was always saying things that would make you laugh. So many precious things he said.
Highly recommend this book, and the two before it
I can’t wait to read the rest.

Doug & Beth

I'm loving this series by Eveline Rose! Doug & Beth have both suffered heartbreak and grief in the past so both are scared to start a new relationship, even tho they've been attracted to each other for awhile. Beth's little boy Chase is just the cherry on top to this story and ultimately is the reason they finally let their guard down and admit their true feelings for each other! I definitely recommend reading not only this book but the whole series!

For lovers and heroes

Eveline weaves a tale so windy and full of banter.
These two go through so much to come together for love.
I appreciated that i couldn't predict what was going to happen. Great suspense, character development and plot.

It was a really enjoyable read. What I love is that some parts made me cry and others smile. What’s nice about these series is there is drama and romance. Written well
