“You’re worth every lonely night I waited for you and dreamed of you.”
I just knew that Warrior’s Walk would be an emotional journey before I ever started based on the other fabulous books in the Scars and Stripes Trilogy, but wow, has Raquel Riley excelled herself with this book.
Warrior’s Walk is worth every painful step, especially with the Bitches with Stitches alongside to guide you through with their huge hearts and humour.
The final book in the trilogy sees hardass PT Riggs get his well-deserved HEA.
Riggs might go hard on his charges, but he gets them back on their feet with his methods.
I've been wanting Navarro Riggs' story since we first met him, and it was worth the wait!
A PT and combat medic with the reserves, Riggs has had his own war trauma to deal with, so he understands these men.
It's when he's deployed, he helps to save the life of Rhett, a member of the 82nd Airborne, who is injured in combat.
Riggs tries his hardest to fight his feelings for Rhett, but these two are inevitable. From the moment they meet they are connected. And it's oh so sweet when Riggs finally gives him to the soul-deep connection between them.
'Like a moth drawn to a flame, I’m begging to get burned.
There’s a spark between us—more like an inferno.
I didn’t ask for any of this. I didn’t choose him. My heart did.'
And each time he calls Rhett 'soldier' I just melt!
Rhett Butler Marsh is an absolute sweetheart. Young, cocky and flirtatious, underneath it all he's a mama's boy. And what a mama he has. A Gone With The Wind fanatic, a true southern belle, and the most loving and fabulous woman. Her story, and her love and devotion to her son, are a huge part of why this book is so beautiful.
Rhett has been through hell in action, losing his best friend, as well as having his ability to jump taken away, and then his mama's journey, but even though he gets down, he has the strength to get back up again - with the support of Riggs and the Bitches - and I love his strength and spirit.
If you haven't read this series, you really are missing out. Whilst the romantic relationships in these books are beautiful; it's the friendship and the warrior spirit in each of these men that have the books embedded in my heart forever. There is no one else you could want in your corner than the Bitches. Who wouldn’t want them to bring you companionship and a duvet movie day when you're at your lowest, or camaraderie and fun on your good days. These guys amaze me.
I can't wait for more from the Bitches. I love these guys so much, especially Mandy. I'm so excited for their stories to come, and maybe we'll even have other's in the future... flirty Rand, perhaps?!!
These warriors will always be with me. I'll think of them when I see Top Gun, or when I look at knitting, there's a little Valor in each black kitten, and Rhett Butler will be present each time I see his namesake. Thank you for creating each of these heroes, Raquel. I'll always hold them dear in my heart.

“I fell in love with you because you saw me at my worst and still wanted me. You believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. You made me feel like it was all right to be the worst version of myself, and yet, you made me want to be the best version I could be. That’s how I knew I loved you.”
“I’m coming back for you, soldier. You’re mine, don’t forget that.”
