Three strangers. Three powers. One enemy.

Right after Trevor almost blows up a high school with his mind, Jay hacks into a site designed to track down neurodiverse people. Especially people with unique "disorders" that hide extrasensory abilities powerful enough to blow things up.

Across the city in a funeral home, Kezia discovers they are the next targets of a relentless enemy that wants to harness those powers for its own use.

Trevor, Jay and Kezia are up against a highly trained group of sharpshooting, sharp-dressing, Men In Black lookalikes. All that stands between the three teens and a life as human lab rats are a semi-retired bodyguard in the middle of a midlife crisis, a psychotic trainer, and their undeveloped powers. These powers are the key to freedom. Too bad they don’t know how to control them.

Join Trevor Finch and the Soul Readers in a fun, action-packed adventure that's Percy Jackson meets Mission Impossible in Kenya.

I've been a writer since I could hold pen to paper, which is a lot longer than I care to admit. I live in Kenya with my family and other animals. When I'm not writing, I pretend to work as an environmental consultant.

A simple juvenile novel

Sci-fi/fantasy about three kids with psychic powers. Of course there is an evil organization which wants the kids for nefarious purposes. Set in modern Narobi written by a talented author who lives there.

Better Than I Expected

I am not one to read books for or about teens. Nor do I read comics or manga or the like. However, I like this author and was blurbed into giving this book a try. It was really pretty good. The pacing was good. The characters were well-written and, admittedly, likable. Will I read the following books? I don’t know…maybe. But if teens with psychic powers is your thing, you could definitely do worse than to read this.

3.5 stars. I'm still patiently waiting for that .5 rating update. The chances of it happening are low, but a girl can dream.
Anyway, I've accepted that I may have outgrown middle-grade books, but that didn't stop me from liking Finch and his friends. It is a good start to my reading year. I enjoyed the dynamic among our trio. I'd like to see them get closer and master their abilities. Hopefully, I'll pick up book 2 at some point this year.
