Dinara and Cillian's story
Get ready for a wild ride in this book! It showcases a brutal yet devoted world filled with romance and tension, complete with shocking twists, a heart-wrenching plot, and plenty of passionate moments.
Two representatives from separate crime syndicates, each hailing from different cultural backgrounds, with a deeply troubled past.
Dinara Marinov /Matrovskaya
She is not a simple-minded girl who is ignorant of her family's identity. They take lives without hesitation, and she ought to understand this. Dinara saw her father perform an unspeakable deed when she was just sixteen, a moment that remains etched in her memory, leading to persistent nightmares.
Cillian Quinn thinks the Marinovs are just garbage, especially since Sergey Marinov set their mom on fire and kidnapped Iseult, his little sister, torturing her until she got away. To say he hates them is putting it lightly. He only tolerates Konstantin because his older brother is trying to keep the peace between their families, , even though this was supposedly resolved years back...
At Konstantin's club, Dinara and Cillian crossed paths and experienced some intensely and very steamy Moments together…..
Initially, neither of them provides their complete identity. To avoid any connection to her father's last name due to his past actions, Dinara opted for her mother's maiden name…. To be fair to Cillian, he did give her his full name, but he figured it was just a casual fling. He knew that if she looked him up online, she wouldn't find anything helpful.
I just find it amazing how Konstantin is so smart guy who skillfully gets what he wants with ease. He certainly knows how to capitalize on any scenario and make it work in his favor. I'm looking forward to reading about Konstantin’s and his brothers adventures and discover what awaits him!
It seemed to me that the author divided this into two distinct books, which I thought was fantastic. The first half focuses on Dinara and Cillian's romance, you know, that sweet honeymoon phase. But then the second half takes a turn and dives into the heartache and so much more

“You got to fuck God knows how many women and I only ever get to fuck you?”
“None of them ever meant anything. And if I could go back, I’d change it all. But it doesn’t matter now, baby, because you’re stuck with me.”
This next line was said in a different chapter, but still made me feel icky.
I’ve been with many women, but none of them have ever felt like this. None of them have ever made me feel like I’m home just by standing in the same room.

- This is a second-chance romance, and they were separated for years (4??). But knowing he's a hoe (or used to be???), I already have my doubts about his celibacy. It's just a gut feeling. So far, this was what I found, and this was said at the 59% mark.

The H, Cillian, dated the heroine for a while but broke things off when he found out her family killed his mom. During their separation, he probably went out and slept with OW in Konstantin’s club. (I’m not sure about this tho-it’s just a guess.😅)
And I’m likely not going to read his book since Fionn’s book was not safe.🤷🏽♀️
Here’s a scene from Fionn’s book that gives me that impression:

“I know that. But that’s not her fault. Sergey was her uncle. She’s not the one who did it.”
“I’ll never marry a fucking Marinov. It’ll never happen. The only reason I come to his clubs is because I like it. But to marry one of them? To be connected to them like that? Hell no.”
“Fine. What are you gonna do when you lose her for good? Konstantin can arrange a marriage for her whenever he feels like it, and then it’s over for you.”

Okay, so… the FMC is an 18-year-old Russian mafia princess and the MMC is part of the Irish crime family and also 35 years old. Where do our main characters meet? In a sex club! And this 35-year-old MMC ends up seducing this 18-year-old girl, who also happens to be a virgin. And mind you, IN A SEX CLUB!!
So I don’t have a problem with age gaps in stories, but this was just weird…
And then they start a relationship that is just basically sexual. ’Cause these two don’t do anything but fuck! Every single chapter in this book includes our main characters fucking. Whether it is happy fucking, in-love fucking, angry fucking, or I-hate-you fucking. They just fuck. And that’s what their relationship is based on.
Their fucking stops for a couple of seconds when it is revealed that the FMC’s family (aka uncle) is behind the murder of the MMC’s mother. The MMC, who is starting to fall in love with the FMC, decides to end everything and says that he can’t be with her ’cause he just sees his mother’s killers when he is with her. Mind you that the FMC’s father literally killed the FMC’s mother right in front of her with his fists. And the MMC did not want to take that into consideration—that the FMC also was a victim of everything that happened. But no, he is the victim over here. And he is the one who got deceived… 🫠
But he still keeps coming back to fuck, ’cause he can do that, but he can’t give the FMC his heart… that is, until the FMC’s heart is so broken that she leaves the country and goes into hiding for a couple of years. This absolutely shatters the MMC, and that’s when he comes to the realization that he is in love with the FMC! Strange, huh… 😵💫
She comes back after 4–5 years when she hears that her evil father and brother have been contacting her younger siblings. And guess what? She runs into the MMC. What happens then? They argue and then fuck.
Then a while later, the FMC’s cousin arranges a birthday party for her little brother. The MMC and his family are invited. And what does he do there? Fucks the FMC, and then he and the FMC are suddenly arranged to be married.
The stone-cold FMC does not want to marry the MMC, ’cause he shattered her heart. So she runs away to a marriage auction where men can bid on her, and the highest bidder would marry her. But the MMC finds out and shows up and outbids everyone, drags the FMC into a bedroom, and guess what… they fuck!
See the pattern we got here?! 😩
They get married. The MMC begs for forgiveness. The FMC eventually forgives him. There is a lot of fucking in between, and then the FMC and younger siblings get kidnapped by her father and brother and beaten. Her little brother gets killed. The older brother and father are killed. And then there are some tears and more fucking. A couple of “I love you”s and the end.
So yeah. This story did not offer a lot. It was boring. And there is only so much sexual shit that I can read until I’m bored as hell!
I feel like the author wanted to have a book published but didn’t exactly have a planned storyline, so she filled it with smut to compensate for the lacking story!
So save yourself and read something else!

Wicked Savage is the conclusion to the Savage Kings series by Lilian Harris. This entry dives into Cillian's lost love and the toxic merry-go-round that is their forbidden romance. I was engaged at the beginning with how they meet at Konstantin's sex club. Dinara has just turned eighteen and is curious about the pleasures and pastimes offered there.
When they become entangled and infatuated with one another, obsession and passion reigns. Until Cillian discovers whose daughter she is, causing all his plans for her to come screeching to a halt. Dinara has no idea how her family has wronged his and is heartbroken when nothing can continue between them.
This leads to a toxic relationship with forbidden passion that tears them apart for years. Let the angst commence!
Eventually, they are brought together for a marriage alliance. But now there is a lot of hurt between them. They need to find a way to connect again, with more than just lips and teeth in dark corners.
I think there was a lot of good story here. As I said, I was sucked in with their beginning. I did find myself wanting when we had several meet ups that played out exactly the same. It added a length and stretch to the story that was hard to push through at times. But I did love Cillian's grovel and how Dinara grew up and got smart about what she deserves.
I am looking forward to Konstantin's book and the Russian series coming next!

I’m genuinely so confused as to how I was supposed to like this. Both MCs had me so pissed off I could not finish.
First of all, age gap here is gross. They met the day of her 18th birthday and he was 35. But, I said to myself, I knew that there was going to be some age gap maybe try and move on. I should’ve just cut it off there.
Their entire ‘romance’ is: meet, fuck, can’t be together wah wah wah, fuck again, lather rinse and repeat. They spent less than the equivalent of a week together before the whole falling out. And while he oh so totally broke her heart, they just kept on fucking. MY GOD?! Does she hate herself????????
How is that romantic?
More than half of the book was them meeting then the timeline jumps forward 4.5 years and they’re both still pining over each other but she needs to act like she doesn’t want him anymore but omg their sexual compatibility is just so off the charts that BOOM! Sex! AGAIN!!! WHY????
It’s literally just insta-lust that never ends. There’s no real romance. This is literally just an eroctica with a side plot of her dad trying to kill her. I’m so completely unimpressed by Dinara and Cillian and I’m mad that I forced myself to read as much as I did.

Argh! This had all the makings to be amazing, but it just went around and around too much.
I ended up not finishing it at 76% and that speaks volumes, as I'd usually just crack on and finish books for the sake of it.
Don't get me wrong, it started off really well. Then it was like the book got caught in a circle of the same thing.
This consisted of..
They meet, they do the nasty together.
They split (MMC is an arse)
They meet again and fook each other.
She pushes him away, he chases.
They fook again.
She pushes him away, he chases.
They fook again.
She pushes him--- Well you get the jist.
It was rinsed and repeated and by the time it got to 76% and they were forced into a marriage together, the FMC was still moaning about the MMC, but STIll letting him give her a good poking 🤦🏻♀️
I love a good bit of filth in books, but this was just them endlessly arguing, then humping.
I don't even remember what the story line was about, as my mind was just flooded with sex, sex and more sex.
And I never, ever thought I could read too much of that 😅
A miss for me, but a yay for anyone that just loves sexy times in books. 😉

Wicked Savage is the 4th book in the Savage Kings series. This is one I was excited for since this couple was teased in the previous book. It was revealed that Cillian and Dinara were going to be forced into an arranged marriage. They were both resistant to this marriage because of their complicated history.
This book takes us back to the start of their relationship. Cillian and Dinara met at Konstantin’s sex club and were immediately drawn together. The attraction was immediate and strong. Cillian couldn't stay away from her even though she was much younger than him. They decide to continue seeing each other, and things get very serious between them. Things take a turn when Cillian realizes Dinara is Konstantin’s cousin and a part of the family responsible for his mother’s horrific death. He can't get over that pain and ends things.
A few years later, Dinara has returned home, and she has changed. Her heart was broken by Cillian in the past, and she wants nothing to do with him. However, Konstantin has plans and arranges a marriage between them. Cillian is also determined to win her over.
I will say I loved how possessive and obsessed Cillian was with Dinara, but what I loved more was how he groveled. I loved his sweet acts of love. I did think the past part of their relationship dragged on too long, and I wish we would have gotten to the current time much sooner.
I am so excited to get to Lilian’s next series because we are finally getting to Konstantin. I have been very intrigued with him throughout this series, and I loved him even more in this book.

I will say I loved how possessive and obsessed Cillian was with Dinara, but what I loved more was how he groveled. I loved his sweet acts of love. I did think the past part of their relationship dragged on too long, and I wish we would have gotten to the current time much sooner.
I am so excited to get to Lilian’s next series because we are finally getting to Konstantin. I have been very intrigued with him throughout this series, and I loved him even more in this book.

We've been reading about Cillian and Dinara throughout all these books, and now we can read their story overlapping with what has been happening. I loved finding out what had been going on all this time.
The age difference is the biggest we've read about, but it doesn't feel wrong and there's no daddy kink, so I didn't mind it at all. Their encounters did make me feel that when they later become distant, it seems real, unlike what happened to me in the previous book.
In this book, we find everything we love in Lilian's books. I really liked Cillian, even when he refused to have a relationship. Dinara is a strong protagonist, a Marinov.
And if I was already intrigued by Konstantin, now I can't wait to read about him.

I had to DNF at 80% because I just did. not. care.
This book is literally nothing but the FMC and MMC pining over each other and whining that they can’t be together but can’t get over each other. For YEARS.
The MMC is the one refusing to be together because her uncle killed his mother and he can’t get past it. Even though the FMC also hates her uncle and her father who killed her mother.
But of course, he cockblocks her from being able to move on. He can’t be with her but he won’t let her be with anyone else. He’d rather her be alone and miserable. What a guy.
She runs away to Italy for 4 years and when she finally returns, they are still as hung up on each other as when she left. So what was the point? She moved away to get over him but she lets him fuck her in a bathroom 30 seconds after seeing him. Even though, each and every time, he fucks her and then tells her it was a mistake and he won’t love her and they can’t be together. It honestly got so boring. I’m not even joking when I say that’s the entire plot.
She’s a weak, immature doormat and he’s a selfish idiot. They weren’t even together that long in the beginning. They have a 17 year age gap and all they did was have sex. What is to be so hung up on, especially after being separated for 4 years?? I got to the point where I just closed the book and returned it to KU.
I’m giving it 2 stars even though I personally feel like it deserves -200 but I’m trying to be fair.
Safety: No others after they meet. Both are celibate during separation. He screws her in a sex club in front of other people. No sharing up the point that I quit.

This book was exactly my type of story! I absolutely loved the plot the characters and the spice oh boy was it on fire! Cillian and Dinara chemistry was scorching you could feel it heating up the pages. The angst was intense and brutal at times and the grovel was perfect from our MC . I love the tension of a hate to love romance and this was that in spades , we have secrets, lies , regrets and the sex was chefs kiss ! This is a stand alone but I love this universe that Lilian has created and I love how it ties in with other books as far as characters go . This is going in my favorite read for 2025 list and it’s going to be one I recommend to everyone! I can’t wait for Konstantin book!

I loved this story about Dinara Marinov and Cillian Quinn, two people from two different crime families and two different cultures who have such amazing chemistry. Unfortunately, Dinara being a member of her particular family makes it impossible for Cillian to accept that the young woman he’s fallen in love with could be his.
The incredible magnetism between Dinara and Cillian was extremely difficult for both of them to ignore but she finally bites the bullet and leaves. Her departure is the cause of a terrific amount of grief for Cillian. As the saying goes—Absence makes the heart grow fonder… well for one of them it did.
Konstantin is one crafty guy who manages to get what he wants with minimal effort. He certainly knows how to take advantage of any situation and turn it into something worthwhile for him. I can’t wait to read Konstantin’s story!
Be prepared for some very taxing times where you need some tissues on hand—but such amazing writing. This book has it all; fantastic characters, an interesting storyline, great descriptions that truly build a scene up as if you are there, family loyalty, and even some old dogs learning some new tricks. How do these books just keep getting better?! Every time I read a new Lilian Harris book I go in thinking "what kind of chokehold will she have me in today?!" My hell I can't even put the book down, f*ck living my real life! I swear I say every new book she writes is my favorite, but this book hit new levels of favorite for me! It hit so many of my favorite tropes and the reasons I become obsessed with the characters! I LOVE the age gap, the angst, the fmc is a virgin, mmc is jealous, possessive OTT, past trauma that interferes in the relationship, stalking, arranged marriage, I can't have you but no one else can either, and etc.. Lord this book had me on my knees begging for more!
This series is one of the best mafia series I've ever read hands down! I recommend it to anyone that loves dark romance, mafia or just a really well written book that will have you sucked in and begging for more at the end. Okay I just finished this book and I just know I’m about to be in a book slump for a little bit.. I LOVED IT … so many aspects of this book were perfect from the endless obsession and yearning from the MMC to the FMC, the time the MMC and FMC spent apart but their feelings for each other never faltered and lastly the ending, though it was heart wrenching- it was written beautifully… The storyline was perfect. Overall I have no complaints

The way this book had me in a choke hold. The raw emotional damage from Cillian when he realized who Dinara is and how they could never be together. The back and forth and the push and pull. The "I need you but I can't have you". I'm obsessed. absolute best in the series.

She did it again!! I INHALED this book like the Lilian Harris addict I am. This was just tooo good to put down.
The push and pull and the tension was constant agony but so worth it. I am obsessed with everything about this book. The world is cruel and dangerous yet so fiercely loyal and filled with romance and so much angst. Plot twists, heartbreakingly beautiful storyline and hot romance, this book had it all.
I'm obsessed with how men in her books are so possesive for their girls and would just about anything to have them. God, I want more of these books.
I'm so not ready to read Konstantin's story but I want it all the more <3

This had got to be one of my fav books in this world. Lord, i love this man. The level he will go to get this woman back in his life. Also kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see who the bad guy is, and dang, I didn't see that one coming. parts of the end gutted me. such a great read.

I consumed this story…very much how Cillian & Dinara consumed each other!
This was by far my favourite story from the Irish family, Cillian stole my heart not only with his actions-very steamy they were too! But, for his words for Dinara and he could never admit it freely but the love.
From the previous books you’ve known Cillian has been keeping his heart locked away feeling his pain and now we have the full story of the girl he had to let go. For heartbreaking reasons linking to his own family, Cillain saw Dinara and once he found out the truth…he could never unsee the past that still haunts him.
I’m just a savage in a suit who can’t let go of the one woman who mattered.
I loved Dinara too! She was a strong female with lots of confidence and once she met Cillian all bets were off as this connection was more than a flicker of flames! It was very interesting going back in time and seeing the woman who captured Cillian and how their story really started to unfold.
Jumping forward the story continues from what we found out and my my, this certainly brings the two characters head to head. Each battling with their feelings for each other, feeling the pressure from all sides and most importantly…seeing if they can trust themselves to fall in love again.
This was an amazing read, beautifully written, stronger than ever family ties-and antics…of course the sexy scenes will leave you breathless for more and add in some twisty turns to keep you wondering what could happen next!!

Lilian is one of my go-to authors for mafia romance and she’s done it again with this instalment to the Savage King series. I felt such a range of emotions throughout this read, completely invested in these characters and their story, I could not put it down once I started. Cillian and Dinara’s story is intense and will break your heart before beautifully putting it back together.
I love the way this was split up into two parts, giving us the past and present to really build the connection between Cillian and Dinara. We get their meeting, the instant chemistry and banter, falling in love then the heartbreak and finally their journey back to one another. I was captivated and completely invested in them. You could feel their emotions, it was palpable through the pages and my heart broke alongside Dinara’s when secrets and truths were revealed tearing them apart.
Did I want to slap Cillian? Multiple times. But he redeemed himself so well, showing his complete devotion for her and proved himself over and over. Their happily ever after was hard fought, heartbreakingly beautiful and so so well deserved.
Dinara is a queen. I admired how strong she was, her loyalty to Konstantin and her siblings, then the way she made Cillian work for it. She may have been weak for this man but she didn’t let him see it and I love a girl who makes a man beg and grovel. And beg he did. On his knees 😮💨

What can i say i love books with lots of drama

2 ⭐️ I was keen at first but it quickly became clear this just wasn’t my kind of story. The MMC refuses to see the FMC as her own person and instead lumps her in with her family’s mess, even though she’s just as much a victim. There’s so much back and forth and when they are together it feels hollow … no real depth or connection. Honestly I was pretty disappointed. Just not for me.

The main reason I rated this 3 stars is because there was a lot of repetitive aspects of the book. Between the breakup being constant back and forth and the spice. I’m all for a fun spicy read, but it just felt very repetitive. I also would have loved to see our FMC stand up for herself more before she took him back.
Glad I picked this up and still definitely enjoyed myself. There were things I’d change but overall it was fun!

Wicked Savage the third standalone book in Lilian Harris' dark romance mafia series, Savage Kings. A series which follows the lives and bl**dy adventures of the Quinn family and the people who love, loathe and want to k!ll them the most. A lethal family with equally as lethal stories that will have you in a chokehold.
To those of you who have followed along with the series so far, then you will be able to recognise familiar names and faces within this latest book. Though this time, they aren't the main characters. They've taken on the role of supporting characters to our new leading man and his lady, and their roles are important as to the outcome of the story. Either Cillian and Dinara will have a happily ever after, or they won't. To find out which it will be, you'll need to turn those pages.
Turning those pages will also result in yet more familiar faces from an entirely different series, built within the same world as the Savage Kings. Round of applause to you if you guessed the Messina Crime Family series that follows the Marino family. Books previously seen within this series and this book itself see and hear mentions of characters from the former series that weave themselves into the lives of the Quinns. Willingly and unwillingly.

For now though, let me circle back to Cillian, Dinara and their story.

Unfortunately for her, the revelation was not something that he could accept with any part of his soul. As such, he willingly chose to do the one thing that he never thought he would be doing with such a siren as her within his sights (and arms). He walked away, shattering them both into a million painful pieces.
Even though he physically walked away, he would always keep an 'eye' on her. Until, he couldn't. Dinara pulled out all of the stops to make sure that she vanished without a trace where even the great and all-powerful Cillian Quinn couldn't find her. No matter how hard and long he tried, his efforts were all in vain. She. Was. Gone. It was if she never even existed.
Years came and years went, but Cillian didn't move on. Not from the thoughts and memories of the woman who quickly became his as quickly as she became his obsession and as a Quinn, there's no shaking the object of said obsession.
Luck was on his side for one day many years after their parting, Dinara is back. At least physically. She's not the same woman he once knew. She's as changed as he is. Now cold and distant, she and her heart are as guarded as Fort Knox and nothing like the fiery woman he knew that once burned alongside him as they lost themselves in one another.
Dinara may be distant and detached when it comes to Cillian now, but she's about to be very close and attached to him. Literally. An arranged marriage is put upon the couple and of course, Dinara verbally expresses her extreme displeasure at the thought of being permanently attached, physically and in name, in any way to Cillian Quinn.
Time too has changed him, for he isn't the same man she remembers. This arranged marriage is the perfect opportunity for him to fight for her. For them. He's going to take, and keep, what belongs to him, and that just so happens to be her.
She might not want to admit it out aloud, but she's his one. His only one. Hell will have to freeze over before he ever has the chance to lose her again.
I've said it before in my review for Filthy Savage and I am happily repeating it again here. This series is one that keeps on giving, giving and giving again. Lilian is one of my dark romance/mafia romance Queens and she only demonstrates that fact tenfold with each new one she expertly births from her brilliant brain, through her fingertips and onto the page. She's able to flawlessly balance an intriguing story, complex characters and an ever-changing world full of equally as complex and brutal characters. Her style among a very densely packed area of romance is able to stand out and above many other heads. I've long-since come to admire it and her, consuming every word in every story every single time. Long story short if Lilian writes it, I'll read it.
Her dominating males dominate, HARD, and her heroines are both determined, badass and impressive in their respective ways without playing into the over-forced 'lady boss' stereotype. Ultimately, Lilian blends everything together so seamlessly that creates stories such as this latest one in series' like this that are as unforgettable as she herself is.
Not to mention, she's been treating us to a lot of pierced peens as of late and I, for one, cannot complain about that one bit. In fact, I'd almost politely demand that Lilian make this a standard feature of her main male characters from here on out. It would be interesting to see just how creative she could be while varying the types of peen piercings that are out there. Maybe even combining a few. The peen possibilities are endless.
Special mention for this book goes to the 'stalking' trope and how it was used. By now we all know the nature of the Quinns and the world that they and the Marinovs run in, so it is no surprise that there are difficult topics, scenes and moments within their books. That isn't the case here with the 'stalking' trope. Unlike within other books of the same genre that also contain it within their stories where it goes way over the line of appropriateness, Lilian does not cross it. She uses the element of stalking to show us Cillian's determination, sense of perseverance and dedication in wanting to find, keep and most importantly, love Dinara. The purpose and reasoning behind his 'stalking' was noble and the outcome I can certainly say was more than satisfactory for both Diana fictionally, as well as ourselves as readers.
Equally as satisfying is one of, if not THE most enjoyable thing I've come to love about Lilian's books is her signature 'twist' element that is in every story that I've read from her to-date. As always and as I've mentioned in numerous past reviews, I know it's coming and on occasion I've managed to guess it. However this time, she's done things a little differently. There's still a twist, but without spoiling it I cannot reveal just how it came to be done different this time. Suffice to say that I was very happy that I was not only able to guess correctly, but was still be able to be caught off-guard, too. Again, all will make sense when you get to that moment in the book and it's one hundred percent worth the build up to those moments.
This book and series were both killers, but are we ready for our next killer to come our way? The only acceptable answer is, of course, 'yes'.

HOLY WOW!!! Lilian Harris crafted another mafia masterpiece! Wicked Savage is pure heart-pounding perfection. I reveled in this romance that burns with fire and feels. Utterly intense and intoxicating. I. Could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down.
Wicked Savage, the final sensation in the Savage Kings series, is a heart-hitting, body-scorching, adrenaline-raging trifecta of arranged marriage, age gap, and mafia romance. I fell hard for both Dinara and Cillian. This couple’s chemistry and connection are insane!!!
Cillian … oh my is he dominating, alpha, mafia prince perfection!!! I did want to smack some sense into him for antagonizing the heroine while applauding his stalking because H-O-T. Dinara, the beautiful and bold heroine, is his perfect match. This mafia princess gives as good as she gets and I was here for it all.
Wicked Savage had its wicked way with me and I loved every scorching, angst-bleeding, heart-stopping minute! I hate to say goodbye to this page-turning saga, but can’t wait for the next intertwined series. I love how Harris writes fire-hot, family-focused, and feel-worthy mafia romance starring strong heroes and even stronger heroines. Oh and Cillian can stalk me anytime.
