Bukunya sebenernya seru tapi karna kdg kesel dikit sama rex jadi bacanya tuh ngendet². Alurnya ga bosenin karna banyak konflik yg bikin membara buat lanjut baca lagi.

Para karakternya juga lucu lucu apalagi para pelindung Benny 😎 kalian keren bro dan gimana Nick bisa ngebuat kakaknya sadar sama perasaannya. Benny jugaaa sangat keren karakter paling membara di novel ini adalah benny aku suka pembawaan karakternya yg ga terlihat lemahhh dan selalu teguh sama prinsipnyaaa. Buat Rex untungnya rada mereda yaa di akhir akhir 😊. Character developmentny Saintny sebenernya rada tiba² ya kek cepet bgt berubahnyaaa tpi aku suka si perlakuan dis ke Benny mereka lucuu jugaaa (malah klo Benny end upnya sama dia aku setuju² aja hehe).

Plot twist di akhir waw.

3.75 for sure. SERU BANGET DAH ngeliat laki-laki di sekeliling Benny.. KOCAK meredam kemarahanku sama Rex yang sangat amat AUAJSBAGAHABAHA, gajelas banget kocak Rex kadang maju selangkah tapi mundur 1029472 langkah alias bisa gak sih ni orang stop stress?????

Rex was so stupid ngl, i love love love benny and her sidekicks dynamic more than her dynamic with rex to be honest. the sidekicks aree soooo wholesome. its always a great read with cecil’s book, brb reading the second book right awayy!!!! SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES THOUGHHH❤️❤️

Can we appreciate the pretty cover for a moment, though? 🥺♥️ Great design for sure. (I also love how the entire series has similar designs and in pretty colors too).

The first sports romance book that I've ever read, written in a mix of Indonesian and English. The premise was interesting, I think there's none (cmiiw) American football romance books written by an Indonesian writer before.

I love how short the chapters were, and for some reason, it seems like it makes me read the book way faster (haha). The writing had almost too much tell-not-show, but that's fine for me .

One of the things I'm not fond of on this book was the MMC. Rex was a complex char, yes. He's afraid of how Benny reminds him of his late little sister. Hence he's so possessive towards her (he's like a touch-her-and-die kinda guy, and tbh it made me irritated whenever he's speaking lol). He's like the definition of an alpha male. His whole interaction with Benny was almost based on jealousy and he's kinda sus (boy told Benny she reminded him of his little sister and then proceeded to kiss and had sex with her, like... bfr bro 💀)

Then the lack of communication disaster... istg sometimes I just want to scream at them both to just SAY IT. Say what you wanna say, stop stressing me out lol.

The banter between his brothers was quite fun too (tbh, this makes me want to read their own stories since they sound kinda better than Rex).

And my roman empire was Saint. Bro literally saved his hard-earned money to flight Benny off to see his match (and he's head over heels for her). Bro's a keeper. Pls give him a spin-off or something, dear author. He deserves his happy ending. 😔☝️

The story ended in a cliffhanger, Benny dropped the bomb into Rex's face. Tbh, I could see it from a miles away that Benny was expecting haha. I wonder how they would face that, though (are they going to get married, maybe?)

Either way, this was a good read! I low-key want to read the rest of the series (maybe when I finish reading all of my pile of tbr already 😞)

my first ever book i read with football player as the ml 🏈 sEru! aku sepanjang buku sibuk ngetawain rex dan judging him, deserves tho 👍🏻. eh aku juga suka bennie karena dia tuh bukan tokoh utama yang menyemenye (walau radagoblokmaf) independent woman for sure. i love her flaws. aku juga suka bgt sama circle nick dkk yg protect bennie for all cost, somehow it’s kinda giving the nonjudging breakfast club in gg. obviously i envy bennie for that. but pls walau aku ga hate rex sepanjang his denial phase (cus somehow it was hilarious), but tbh i don’t really like the ending when he makes bennie— urgh 🤾🏻‍♂️, i just love my boy saint in this case 😢
