Well, damn! Every time I visit Potomac Falls, it’s a drama filled mess, and this was no exception. The secrets, lies, greed, and betrayals was crazy! How is everyone connected in some way, shape, or fashion? 🤯
Miss Ava just wanted to finish her last class, and graduate. However, after meeting the professor for final class, erotic poetry, she had a new mission. Get zaddy in my bed! That salt and pepper beard was calling her, and she had to have a taste. Sis was aggressive as hell, and Professor Hill couldn't help but fall right into her trap. They both knew the consequences of their tryst getting out, so mums the word.
Her little sneaky link, Lincoln, is pushing to be more, and while she’s considering it, she really wants to just coast as they’ve been doing. But he pushes her to come to dinner with his parent’s and talk her into making a commitment with him. Well, well, well, guess who his father is??? Mmmhhhmmm….. Yep! Now things get interesting. 👀
Mrs. Hill has secrets and lies of her own that she is trying to keep buried. She is slowly trying to untangle herself from her lover, while her lover is becoming a bit unhinged.
Lincoln wants to carve his own way and finds a “perfect” opportunity for a quick lick. He enlists the help of his buddy, and the plan is hatched. What could go wrong? Hmmm…… Ish went left quick, with both Ava and Lincoln wondering what the hell is happening. When the professor and Mrs. Hill get the news of what has happened to Lincoln, they spring into action. That is when the skeletons started to show themselves, secrets were revealed, and ish hit the fan, leaving the professor shocked, confused, and angry.
Well, they unleashed Brains, while trying to play in his face. He showed them he was not the one to messed with. At all! Miss Ava has a lifetime of secrets to keep, but a few dollars always helps. 😂 K.L. this one here was wild man! But I'll continue to visit. Well done. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
This is why you can’t be stringing folks along! Honestly, nobody in this book was innocent but I felt a pull towards Ava and her desperation to pass her course in order to graduate. KL does a good job with her twists, turns, and strong storylines.
I thought things were going to go a certain way, but it didn’t. I was intrigued and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. One thing this author does is bring the drama. I don’t want to give anything away, but I suggest you read the book.
The name doesn’t do this story justice. Don’t let the name hold you back, definitely read this.
This story is not was I expected at all. This is very messy filled with secrets and lies that lead to a very surprising ending. This story is also so poetic at times which is also surprising for how messy it is. I really liked this one.
One thing, professor zaddy would have been spotted at the graduation. Seriously, there wasn’t that much time that passed. 😑 And as known as he was on campus, no way.
At first, I wasn't into this book. Despite its captivating writing and ability to keep me hooked, I have a strong dislike for cheating tropes. However, the unexpected plot twists made me overlook that aspect and added an intriguing layer to the story. I never saw those twists coming. As I continued reading, the book completely won me over, surpassing my expectations in an impressive manner. The overall story? Totally dope.
Listen I only ready this book cause the cover DELIVERED! Honestly every time Potomac Falls is brought to the forefront it’s ALWAYS a huge mess with a twist this book was a great read the thrill, the excitement, the betrayal.
It was like bomb after bomb being dropped and it kept getting better and better!
Baby when she said "Being with Professor Hill was everything I thought it would be. The dick was better than Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday'" (Had me wanting to test it for my damn self) I was on the floor laughing cause we all know Chick-Fil-A CLOSED on a Sunday but damn mane!
You never know what a person that you love will do to you when their loyalty is tested. The professor was the man no doubt! But he was human as well and sometimes our flesh goes against us. He didn’t play no games and he didn’t let nothing slide. The student was loyal by default and it showed each time. The family was trifling as fuck and so was the two no good siblings. The professor came ready for business no lie!
Ava, an anxious senior was preparing for graduation but lusted after professor… Lincoln, a restless child that placed his ambitious goals on perceived power… Dr. Hill, a woman searching for companionship in the arms of her patient… Professor Hill, a man that thrived on loyalty and family and received betrayal… Jamel, a troubled students who had to help crumbling family… Karina, the TA who offered solace to a starved doctor and fell in love…
Now, each had their own form of betrayal but kept secrets until they were exposed…
Will Ava keep the secret of the actual happenings and fly like a dove?
Professor came back to give Ava a gift… If the series continue, did professor leave Ava with an unbeknownst gift…
I normally don’t write reviews on the numerous books I read! I respect people’s blood work. To quote Erikah Badu, she says “ I am an artist and I am sensitive about my sh#t!” Let me just say THIS BOOK DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! This storyline if a first for me which involved— college setting with impending adulthood, loyalty, and age-gap interlude, drug boss, infidelity, selfishness and angst. I really enjoyed it. Little Dove was freeing and she symbolized peace in unforgiving world. This new author to me will have me visiting her catalogue once again.
Absolutely loved this story. The way the Professor loved his job, life, and family, Loyalty was his biggest factor and once you betrayed him there was no longer a place in his world for you. His wife with her betrayal and pillow talking hurt him but to find out that the son that was not his biological along with his mother stole from him when he gave them the world there just was no reason for it. The his little Dove that came into his life and stirred things that she shouldn't have. I thought that after graduation she would have ended up on his island by chance and they would start again but the ending was indeed touching.
Whew! Where do I start? Ava needed one class to graduate and she signed up for Professor Hill poetry class. Letting him be her muse, she wrote what was on her mind for assignments. When her boyfriend invites her to his house for his father's birthday dinner, she had no idea it was her Professor. Mrs. Hill was a psychiatrist at the school. She introduced Karina, one of her patients, to her husband and he hired her as his TA (teacher's assistant). Lincoln has been hiding a couple of secrets that send this family into a whirlwind. But so is the rest of his family.
This was a twisted, dark, yet romantic take of family, love, betrayal, and unspeakable loyalty in the midst of tragedy. Augustine Hill was the handsome, smart, distinguished professor with a dark past, in a CONVENIENT and complicated marriage! Lincoln was the ambitious, handsome, entitled son whose choices led to deadly consequences. Ava, the unsuspecting poetry student, who captured the attention & heart of Lincoln, but the unfounded passionate loyalty of his stepfather, Augustine. This book was sinfully good, & kinda wish there was a sequel so Augustine & Ava could cross paths again years into the future.
This was totally not what I was expecting. I was thinking I was not going to like this book. Glad I was wrong. Sometimes stories become predictable and you just know what is next. Not Professor Zaddy!!! This was a tail of secrets, lies, lust, more lies, more secrets and betrayal. I loved that this was told through so many POVs. I wondered who was the first to betray the trust (wife or husband). Which betrayal hurt the most Wife or Son? This was a different HEA and I loved it.
Ok so this book definitely didn’t go how I thought it would. Heck the only partly innocent person in this story is Ava. But other then that they all got secrets and whew them secrets are something serious. I really didn’t think the wife would be having an affair with her patient that was crazyyyy. The son just wanted to be apart of the game but he definitely wasn’t built for it because the ending showed that. The professor gets his life that he wanted away from the game but I was hoping him and his little dove got together after wards but no such luck
Well, DANG the story, the gift & this cover 🤯🫣🤩🔥‼️Foremost, all I need for Christmas 🎄 is that chocolate cover model 🎁🤭‼️…Pardon my speechlessness 😶while I stare😍 😂🤷🏾♀️, some more! He’s fine..finer…Finest! Meanwhile, “Professor Zaddy: A Potomac Falls Novel” was a fantastic read! The book, plot & character development are/were all superb💐. The brazen irony of deception among the perceived prestigious academia elite was intriguing, suspenseful and an unexpected thriller. Thereafter, the most compelling lesson to glean from life’s learning tree, respect & appreciate the value of loyalty🤔‼️
Ava a senior in college dating the star basketball player but lusting after her poetry professor. One day she acted on her feelings and approached the professor. They began an affair, but little did she know the professor led two lives. His stepson , her boyfriend Lincoln did the ultimate betrayal against the professor and his mother Dr Hill was no better. When lies are exposed and greed is the focus, deadly consequences follow. A great read!
I can only say that one word because there were so many twists and turns in this story! It started out slow…I put it down for a minute but then Ava, the professor, Lincoln and Cassandra were tied up all over one another unbeknownst to each other. I won’t even talk about Katina and her brother. Definitely worth the read!
I knew the poop was about to hit the fan when everyone's skeletons was out in the open. What i didn't anticipate was the mon and sin getting killed, but when you deal with someone in the street life disloyalty will get you whether family, or friend. Ava remained loyal, and I'm glad she was compensated for being loyal, doing something with her life.
Secrets, greed, betrayal, and lust was not beneath any of them. What a "F*&$cluster" of a story. I didn't read every single chapter, but obviously hit those that I needed to.
I felt for Lincoln and wished the heartless ruthless professor had more of a heart with his son. Daddy or not, I ended up detesting him.
Whewwwwww not a single character in this book was innocent. Potomac Falls, was filled with betrayal, greed, drama and affairs. The secrets, lies, and lack of communication was absolutely shocking. How do you have it all and still want so much more? The wife was a fool because girllllllllll why would you believe her lol. The son chileeeeeeeee like why just why. Now I did think the ending would go another way but I enjoyed the book.
KL Hall……omg this book had me all over the place. I can not believe how this title took me over the river and through the woods. I was talking back to the characters and everything. Whew! I am convinced you try to take me out in every title you write. This is a fantastic story. Don’t let the title fool you. Zaddy is the man!
The professor was no joke and to thin the one person that Ava could date it was the professor's son..... the man she had the hotts for. This book was really good but whew chile it was also a thriller, Zaddy was no joke either.
ATP, I just think this man didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore, because the hypocrisy was THICK with this one lol. Like, sir huh?! They did what? But didn’t you…?? I guess professor 🙄 lol. LOVED IT though!
This book is not how you think it would be. I thought it was going to be the typical storyline , but mannnnnnnnn it surprised me! So many twists, turns, secrets, and betrayals! Wow, wow, wow!
K L Hall’s books never disappoint. This book was cray! I really like it though! I was definitely not expecting so many secrets, lies, deceit, and betrayal. Loyalty was scarce in this book. That is all I will say.
This book had it all: love, lies, deception, adultery, revenge and any thing else that you could imagine. Well written, flowed well and kept my attention. Definitely wasn’t expecting the end with the Hill family tho.
This was a good read. This story was not at all what I thought it was going to be. This was a thriller! I enjoyed all the different points of view. It was just wow! Great!
If you are looking for a quick read that can draw you in quickly, then this is it. From the opening sentence to the last period I was hooked. What's done in the dark ALWAYS comes out in the light. A must read
