"As long as I'm with you, I'll follow you anywhere."

Pretty romantic, huh? Well, Grant Schultz is that older, grumpy (yes he was annoying, especially when he took Dahlia's AI idea for himself) not a good look for you Grant. No sir. Not a good look.🙅🏼‍♀️😂 Do better dude. He's CEO of his family's company in New York. He's stressed. He's realizing that his life isn't where he wishes it was. Something is missing. Someone, rather. It's almost winter. Time for the holidays. We do get a power outage. Need more of that!! Well, I need more of that. You know, for warm snuggles.❄️🌡️❄️ Hehe Everybody loves a cuddle. There's some mystery, someone is determined to destroy the corporation from the inside out. Who is playing the spy game?!🙀 Dummy accounts. Fraud. Espionage. And Grant here needs a plan to figure that out and salvage what he can. But he can't do it alone. No, he will be needing his younger brother Erik's help and the newly hired Dahlia Cline to assist. Despite the irk she causes him and the annoyance he causes her, they seem to gel. I think she should have made him grovel more, ahem!! Work for her attention and later affection. Come on, you know you're thinking it. Because of the AI thing.😉😝 Naturally. Give him some more sass. Annoy him. Get under his tanned skin.🫡

Dahlia is a younger blonde beauty who has caught the attention of her boss's boss. Grant. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. lol And Bernice girl, ughhh, super rude. We've all been there. Why do supervisors have to be like that. Team?! Pfft. Not with that one you're not!!!🤣 This is a slow buildup between our main couple here. But BAM!! On chapter 15. It allll changes. You're welcome.🙌🏻 Dahlia may seem shy, like a librarian with her hair pinned up. But keep reading folks, she gets... uh.. frisky. I love it!! Let your flag fly free Dahlia!!

Will these two find out who's trying to destroy the Schulz company?! And where do they stand with each other? Grant has his issues. We all do. But Dahlia wants to help the man. Her man?!😯 Stop it!! Ha I have to share, Dahlia's parents are super cute and funny. Mia, aka Peanut, Erik's daughter, is adorable. Here's your ice cream, honey.🍨 Sorry Erik. I enjoyed this. It has great elements to it. It's romantic. Some suspense. It's thoughtful. HEA. Maybe.🤪 I recommend. Check this one out. Happy reading!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

🎊💋Thank you to Ms Baxter and Booksprout for an early read. This is my honest opinion on the story I read.💋🎊

Grant is the CEO of his father's US based company, Schultz Industries, but things haven't been going so well with the company, and he's not entirely sure why.

Dahlia is interning at Schultz Industries, and is putting in a LOT of effort. And while working late one night, is noticed by the CEO, and when he realises what a great job she is doing, he pulls her into a project that he's started (from claiming her ideas). And as they work together more, they pick up some anomalies within the company, and discover an attraction between them.

This story is full of intrigue, and moments where Grant and Dahlia just work so well together. I enjoyed how they were able to use their individual strengths to form quite a fabulous team. I loved how Grant allowed Dahlia to influence his interactions with his family, and how he respected her love for her family.

An enjoyable romance with with a nice side of mystery...

OMG this was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted and the sensational and romance. It had caught my attention. It was addicted with steamy heated of passion between these characters. This romance was forbidden he was her boss and she work for him as their physical and chemistry attraction was off the charts. Fighting the urge of temptation was so hard for them what would the office people think will the rumors will be going around the office older man younger woman oh wow. I enjoyed this story so much and it mind blown.

This book had some interesting characters but with some flaws, which I like. Dahlia is new at the company and feels like she HAS to put in extra hours WITHOUT additional pay🤯! Grant is a stubborn CEO who wants to move the company forward, but of course there are some old coots on the board who are blockers. I liked how the technology elements are interwoven throughout the story. I felt that Dahlia and Grant didn’t have chemistry so that storyline was just ok for me. There is enough good in the book to make it worth reading.

This Booksprout ARC is a good read but you must read for yourself to get my ARC title 🤭.

Dahlia works for Schultz Industries where she works a lot of overtime. Grant Schultz is the CEO of the company. Grant looks over Dahlia’s shoulder and sees some of her work that could help the company. He asks Dahlia lots of questions then suggests her to be on a team to utilize her idea for the company. When forced to work together they find someone is working against the company. This is when the book really gets great. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed this book.

Working Her Hard

Dahila has been overworked while working for Grant at Shultz Industries. Complications arise when it turns out he used her work for his project and took the credit for it. When she asks for compensation, they come to a different type of agreement as their attraction for each other ignites. The story was a somewhat quick read but pleasant.

I found this a charming book. It was an insta love age-gap that I could not put down. I found that there was enough suspense to keep you on your toes, and enough details that you could visualize the scenes without it getting overwhelming. It was a page turned and I’ve read it twice already. This is not my first Anjelica Baxter book read and it will not be my last either.

I wanted more. I wanted more heat, I wanted more of their relationship, and i really didn’t love that it was instant love, I wasn’t sold. The whole corporate takeover plot was ultimately distracting and the rush to couplehood was hamfisted and clumsy. No where near enough banter or angst for an age gapped romance and not even heat at all

The storyline was pleasant and the HEA was heartwarming. It's a love story retold throughout the ages of the Boss and the intern falling in love with each other, plus a twist of intrigue on who is messing with the company.
Read it to find out.

This is my first story by the author.

I enjoy age-gap romance.

In this case, it was insta-love. I can by into this trope because I know at least a couple of "couples" this happened to.

It was also boss-intern. So taboo too!

Throw in some corporate shenanigans, and well, you have plenty to keep your attention.

Dahlia and Grant together = some HOT and Sexy Romance. This book was really captivating and I think that Anjelica writes absolutely amazing. This book balances out everything evenly between the romance and the drama brought on with Grant and Dahlia. I didn’t want the book to end but the ending was just right.

A lowly intern and her grump of a boss. Both working late after hours , he’s intrigued by Dahlia Cline and why is she still working at this time? Dahlia is unaware of her boss’s interests and the hour , she’s just doing her best to do the workload her supervisor has piled onto her. She needs this position so doesn’t complain. Grant Schulz is CEO of the company his father Heinrich founded, the board of directors and shareholders are piling on the pressure as hostile takeover approaches. Eric Schulz his brother and COO is feeling the strain too but supports his brother. When Grant sees Dahlia working one night he’s interesting in what she’s working on, the next thing she knows , her ideas are being used by the company obviously the boss of her boss stole them from her and she seeks compensation. He reminds her that she was working at his business and so the work she does there is his to do with as he pleases. They soon kiss ( boy do they) and make up and when she’s put on a project working with managers rolling with her AI ideas to find a solution to financial issues within the company, they come across a string of shell companies that have been bleeding their accounts dry…. Grant is in a fix and needs to nix this quickly. Dahlia wants to help and maybe if they work together… in close proximity they give in to temptations. A superb slow simmer to boil romance with lots of suspense and plenty of action. Their attraction is so palpable it’s off the charts and soon she doesn’t see a grump anymore just Grant’s vulnerable heart. Beautifully crafted by Anjelica Baxter. The writing is pure indulgent pleasure with a suspenseful undertones . The characters are realistic and engaging and the dialogue relatable. Descriptors bring the story to life perfectly , the scene setting , the atmosphere , their emotions and tensions are weaved together extremely well.
