Review for Tell Me You’re Mine by G.N. Wright
Holy hotness!!! I was on the edge of my seat this entire story!!! I read it in one sitting and wish there was more! But also it ended perfectly and is an awesome novella!!! The story is sooooo suspenseful! It had my heart racing! It is sooooooo hot! The way Jacob is with Alora!
Alora has soooo many demons and all Jacob wants to do is get rid of those demons for her! This is fun and heart pounding! I couldn’t put the story down. If G.N. Wright writes it, I’m going to read it. This is definitely a get you in the Halloween mood, suspenseful story you won’t want to miss! A must devour!!!

No pude gente.. siempre soy de no juzgar a las personas que leen sobre abusos y cosas así pero esto tocó mis límites
Ya eran 62% de lectura y ella seguía pidiéndole para que la dejara libre y además todo muy creepy que él se haya aprovechado de la información que tenía siendo su terapeuta para luego básicamente secuestrarla porque él la "amaba"

This anthology fell waaayyyyy short and half the authors listed aren't even in it....?
Here goes. Spoilers ahead ..
Beautiful Nightmare. ⭐⭐.5
New to me author.
Interesting concept, very imaginative. Unfortunately the copious typos were very distracting. The two gods went from, 'we must kill her' to 'we need her' in the blink of an eye and I didn't really feel the love.
The Wolf.
Also new author.
Note to author... Don't mispell your character's names. Rider was sometimes Ryder. Also, Red f£#ks her once and all of a sudden she's more important than Grandmother. Really?
Quite liked the story - the idea of it anyway but it just stops. I'm not a fan of this trend that short stories are unfinished to leave you hanging or buying something else. If it's a short story or novella, it should still be complete.
Really unhappy with the drop you when things get started angle so ⭐⭐.5
Devils Blood
Never read this author either.
I was enjoying this until Kai approached Sadie and talked like a prepubescent teenager. I'm not sure of his age (later discovered he's nearly 40), but was expecting older and wiser given what he is. Also... They live in a world with Devils. Do they not find it weird that multiple people walk around in the day with a mask on??? Do they not twig that there's a reason they're hiding their identity?
Ok... I've never heard the phrase 'male amusement' and after reading it multiple times in this story, I'm not sure it's required... Sorry.
Another one that ends on a cliffhanger...
This is original but the writing was basic. Editing wasn't as bad as some of the others.
The whole history of how the Devils exist is just glossed over. If you're not going to finish the story you may as well use the word count to world build.
⭐⭐.5/ ⭐⭐⭐ max.
Tell Me You're Mine
GN Wright is the only author in this anthology I've read before and I've never been impressed with her writing or editing but her story was the most polished of the lot!
Unfortunately, the story was missing so much. When we first meet Jacob he makes it clear that he's killed before Jeff and that he wanted to kill Alora when he first met her then instead became obsessed with her. I kept patiently waiting to discover this past life. Why he killed, why he wanted to kill her but it was never revealed. We learn nothing about him to understand his obsession.
Now this anthology is called Captured Hearts so it made me think that in and amongst all the darkness there would be an element of love. My error, perhaps, except that all the stories are about relationships, so I'm guessing the authors wanted us to feel the connection.
In this one, Alora gives in to him physically, then we skip two years ahead to their final kill and she now says she's his. Obviously, we're supposed to believe their love built during the two years but we don't get to experience it.

Review for Captured Hearts by Elizabeth Brown
Elizabeth's contribution to this anthology is a welcome return for one of my favourite authors. Nysa is another kick ass heroine with a war braid (even if her war is only against the Gods who are holding her captive both in her dreams and in her physical body) and her leather outfits. This story feels like the start of a bigger narrative for these mimics and their connections to their Gods (foundations are laid for the next FMC in the series).
Nysa is being held captive in a laboratory/facility that is forcing her to use her powers over dreams and nightmares. She is subject to abuse and torture and is close to giving up. In her dreams, she discovers a connection to Morpheus and Neiros (the Gods who rule over the dreamscape and realm of nightmares). When these two powerful brothers feel the connection they are determined to balance their kingdoms and steal back the powers she has taken from them.
For a relatively short read, this is packed full of chemistry and passion and intense connection between Nysa and the brothers. This is a detailed dive into this fantasy world of Gods and mimics (mortals able to take powers from the Gods). Elizabeth will always deliver when it comes to the feistiest and fiercest FMCs and Nysa is no different. She uses the opportunity with her Gods to gain strength and control and comes out fighting. She wont be downtrodden or controlled by anyone again. This is an action packed read and a brilliant fantasy/fear based romance.

Beautiful Nightmare by Elizabeth Brown
I really enjoyed this novella story to this anthology. It is dark and smexy! Not surprised as Elizabeth does always deliver.
Nysa is a kick ass FMC. While she did not need Morpheus and Neiros to rescue her, she definitely was not complaining. I could not either as these two brothers are a dreamy nightmare. Pun intended. Morpheus is the king of dreams and Neiros the king of nightmares.
These two brothers may be rulers, but Nysa could bring these guys to their knees. I loved every moment of this story. Glad to see Nysa finally have a HEA as this "little thief" deserved it.

Well, then... I didn't know what to expect going into Tell Me You're Mine and I went in blind because it's GN and 😳😳 I want more like this!!
Alora has been hurt in the past and has a vigilante stalker following her and taking out the ones that harm her.. what's not to like? Just be warned, there's little romance and is pretty dark. I loved it and interested in reading others from this anthology.

So far I have only read the first novella, beautiful nightmare. and let me tell you what this is going to be a promising new series by Elizabeth Brown. I devoured it entirely too fast and already know I need the next one. Beth never fails to capture my attention with her creativity and swing worthy may male characters. I our female main character, Nysa, the end, how she raised up and became an absolute baddie.
