We won’t go down without a fight.
Only, the more we butt heads, the more I wonder… Is it really a fight that’s trying to break through?
Or is it our feelings?
There’s an undeniable spark that lingers between us… And it’s impossible to ignore. After everything we’ve been through…
Don’t we deserve a second chance?
Read on a love that never died, two people brought back together for their child, and a second chance no one thought they would get. Get ready to rage, laugh, and cry throughout this touching romance that will have you hooked until the very last page!
When their precious son Thomas took ill, Cade and Kalcey had to put him first and put away their issues that caused their divorce. Kalcey was resentful of Cade because he put his firm first. But in trying to cheer up their son in their old haunts from home, they both realized that they never stopped loving each other, and they missed each other dearly. But Kalcey was still doubtful and was determined not to have her feelings stomped on again by falling for the illusion of what they had when they were young. Cade, coming to the realization that he was neglectful, he was determined to get his family back.
This was a realistic story about how families handle severe illness that requires all hands on deck. Both Kalsey and Cade realized that they were both giving their lives and marriage another chance.
Please check CW and TW before staring this one. These two are OMG. This is a second chance romance where the two MCs are still in each other lives as they coparent. We get to see why they did separate but also the fact that they still deeply care about each other and their child.

Falling for the Fine White Man-Again, is totally worth reading. It’s like a documentary about how one family struggles through and comes out stronger. It’s just a heartfelt story, that will definitely keep you interested and inspired.
Cade and Kalcey have a wonderful and special relationship that makes their family dynamic loving and caring. But their chemistry is smoke’n hot.
I’m looking forward to seeing if Thomas ever becomes a good man like Cade and a heart like Kalcey.

Cade showed Kalcey feelings for her from the beginning. From moving them into his house after Thomas was hospitalized. From making his house more family friendly. To take over the house duties, cooking and cleaning, freeing up time for Kalcey to take care of Thomas. He walked away from his career to spend more time with them. He was trying to prove to her that he had changed and was putting them first. He was proving to her that second chances were better than the first. And they were.
Kalcey and Thomas have gone their separate ways but have a son together. When he becomes ill Kalcey calls Thomas, and they learn that their son has a serious illness. Their relationship has been nothing but bickering and calling each other out. Will their son's illness bring them together and lead to rekindling the love they once had for each other.

Nothing changes if nothing changes! That’s the lesson that Kalcey and Cade ( who divorced five years ago) had to learn as they struggled to deal with their son, Thomas ‘s leukaemia. They learned that in order for their love to have a second chance, they had to be honest in their commitment and communication. They had to change.
The title undermines what a sweet and serious romance this is. I love that the couple is reunited under trying circumstances (their son's illness) and they deal with some real obstacles but they find their way back to each other and reunite the family and it makes them stronger to fight the battle ahead. I really enjoyed this and the happy yet realistic ending.
Heartfelt story about second chances and healing. FL and ML were mature and figured out how to handle their problem in an adult way.
Con: I was a little confused about the curveball that the author tried to throw in because what she saw and the explanation given wasn’t enough/plausible in m6 opinion.
What a beautiful story depicting every day challenges of ordinary people-fighting leukemia, working through issues that brought on divorce, reconciliation with strong concrete walls being torn down and a love that never quit!!!💚🦋
Great audiobook. The character development in this book is really good. Cade and Kailsey relationship was so relatable. It was great that family brought them together. I was a little nervous with the whole Illness story line as it can be hard to do, but Vixa did a fantastic job.
Kalcey goes down as one of the most unlikeable characters I've had the displeasure of reading. The story was ok but I can't really say I felt any chemistry from them
