Believing that Bobby is dead, Jamie, Carlyn, and Brooke feel a false sense of security, and when all three girls are bridesmaids in a wedding, Bobby plans to kill them all at once.
(I first read the third book in this trilogy when I was a teenager and loved it. I read the first one too, but my library didn't have the second. Now, thanks to Amazon used books I have them all and I finally read the whole series in order.)
Oh man, I read this book so many times. Reading it again was fun, but I can't help but think of Anna Valerious's wisdom from the cinema feast that is Van Helsing: "I think if you're going to kill somebody, do it. Don't stand there talking about it!" Maybe if Bobby had heeded that advise he would have succeeded.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Bobby Whimper!
The final Bobby book in the series and I wish there were MORE! Bobby is a freaking diabolical sicko who will stop at NOTHING to enact his revenge on the kids (now young adults) who played a cruel prank-gone-wrong on him as a child. In the first 2 books Bobby has already Lo and behold, all 3 girls will be bridesmaids in a wedding, back in their hometown. How convenient for Bobby to try and kill them all together! 😈😱
One of the more hard-hitting and extreme YA thriller/horror series I’ve read, and it’s a shame this author didn’t write anything else (unless his name was a pseudonym). These books are on the more rarer side but you won’t be disappointed in reading them if you like ‘em high on thrills and body count 😈😈
Totally satisfying, very straightforward storytelling. Yes, it is riddled with classic horror tropes, and you know who the killer is and who he is after the entire time, but the elaborate kill set-ups and dramatics are worth it. And that ending is kinda perfect. Would’ve made a fun movie or tv series tbh.
