Rule Breakers: My Best Friend’s Brother

Rate this book
Be mine for one night,” he said. But will one night be enough to satiate their fantasies?

Years ago, the loss of Oryana’s brother faded the sunshine from her home, and the air grew heavy with the sounds of sobs from behind closed doors. The Busi family gave her hope that not all households live in a permanent depression.

Oryana Classe and Devon Busi were never meant to hook up. A pact made with Flora—Oryana’s best friend and Devon’s sister—set it in stone. But when the object of a teenage heartthrob promises a night she’ll never forget, Ory decides vows can be broken.

The confession to Flora that her dominant brother had Oryana writhing beneath him would be horrid, but to discover feelings have developed between them would be so much crueler.

Flora is her rock, but the reality of Devon supersedes anything Oryana has ever imagined.

He’s too good to be true. Taboo usually is.

How can she walk away from him?

Choose him, and Flora may be gone forever. Choose Flora, and Ory will be back to fantasizing about her adult love that could never be.

I’m an Amazon international top-selling author of Suspense Erotica. Often, I write contemporary, erotic romance novels containing BDSM content, that revolves around real life human issues we often face on a daily basis. Keeping the characters relatable to my readers helps to bring the stories to life.

My books aren't all about sex because our lives don’t revolve around sex, or at least they shouldn’t. The romance, love and tender moments are what keep us coming back for more.

We all want to be loved, adored and cherished, and BDSM gives us all of that and more. I want to show the pain and pleasure associated with the BDSM lifestyle, but also the unbreakable, loving commitment between the Dom and Sub. The trust built by this lifestyle is undeniable, and this is why I love writing in this sub-genre.

That’s not to say I don’t have a few short stories that aren’t strictly hot and naughty. Sometimes we need a little kick to get the juices flowing, so to speak, and why not quick erotica? They make for great bedtime stories.

This was an awesome book. There was a mix of mystery, suspense, smexy times, and tests of trust, loyalty and friendship, all rolled into a well-written dark romance story set in idyllic Toronto, Canada. Oryana (Ory) Classe and Flora Busi have been best friends since they were thirteen and in high school. Now in their twenties, Ory was a district manager for a chain of grocery/department stores and Flora owned a bake shop. One day Ory was visiting one of the stores and saw Devon Busi shopping. Devon was Flora’s older brother by three years, and Ory’s crush then, and the object of her fantasies all these years. Devon was moving back home after being away for eleven years. Seeing Devon again stirred up all the old feelings, and it seemed that Devon was just as obsessed with Ory, and his mind was set on making Ory his.

The story was captivating from the beginning and held my rapt attention until the last page was turned. I enjoyed the dynamic between Devon and Ory. They were smoking hot together. I personally think that Flora was being selfish when she didn’t want Devon and Ory to date, but I also understand that Flora was afraid of losing her best friend. Overall, one of the better best friend’s brother, erotic, forbidden romance stories I have read in a while.

I met Pebbles at the Rose City Romance Conference and I really enjoyed speaking to her about her books.
I've reshelved this one as I'm not really into the initiation into BDSM lifestyle trope right now...I'll try to go back to it in a month or two.
