Juniper loves her boyfriend Luca. There’s just one problem (in the eyes of Far Realm society, anyway.) She’s a fawn and he’s a vampire.
WhenJuniper asks him if she can attend the full moon ritual, he’s horrified. The ritual is for vampire clans to unleash their most primal urges—no place for a fawn. But either she goes with him, putting herself in danger and letting her see the worst sides of him, or their relationship stalls.
Luca is afraid he’ll lose her either way, but Juniper hopes he’ll finally let her see this last private piece of his heart.
Will their love for each other be enough to withstand one night with the vampire clan?
I didn’t end up finishing this book, so I won’t be giving it a rating. I want to start by saying there’s absolutely no hate toward the author or this story. I actually purchased this book while watching the author live, and she was so sweet with such amazing energy—it made me excited to support her work!
Unfortunately, this one just wasn’t for me. The FMC is a fawn, which I knew in a general sense before buying, but I didn’t fully understand what that meant until I got further into the story. I personally have a big obsession with vampires, so I was mainly drawn to the MMC, Luca. But when the fawn aspects of the FMC’s character were described (like her legs being traced, or her hooves being mentioned), I realized the dynamic wasn’t quite what I enjoy reading. That’s more about my own preferences than the quality of the book itself.
The story has a lot of unique elements, and I can see how it would be a fantastic read for the right audience. The book itself is absolutely gorgeous, and I’ll be keeping it on my shelf because it deserves a place there. While this particular story wasn’t my favorite, I still think the author is incredibly talented, and I look forward to exploring her other books in the future!
Can everyone please stop what they are reading and grab a copy of this book in time for Halloween? Granted, this is a very spicy one, so please keep that in mind if spice is not your thing, be warned!
I'm personally not a huge vampire book person because of the blood and violence associated with a lot of what's out there. But this book has a new cultural take on an ancient full moon ritual. Juniper is a fawn who gets the opportunity to do a cultural study on vampires. Lucky her, she is dating one! The tension between her and Luca stems from an ancient ritual all vampires partake in during the full moon every month. Luca is afraid of sharing the primal side of his clan, fearing that Juniper will not accept that side of him if she sees the ritual. Juniper not only wants to document it, but partake in the ritual. There is also a fated mates aspect where Luca has to make a choice if he is willing to risk Juniper's life or not. I won't go spoiling what happens in the forest, because you need to read it for yourself!
I would highly recommend this book for anyone who likes a quick spicy read and has a HEA. Yes, there is blood, but this is a vampire book so that is to be expected.
A short & spicy read for dark romance and fantasy lovers alike. Please read the book’s trigger warnings before reading.
The story was outside my usual scope for go-to reads, but I had the chance to meet the author (she was very nice and friendly) at a local market, and I enjoyed one of her other books, so I thought I’d give this one a try.
✨ Vampires are known to have perfect mates. Fauns, on the other hand, not so much. Luca, a vampire, and his girlfriend Juniper, a Faun, fall for each other in a society where such relationships between individuals of different groups/cultures are frowned upon. Check out this novella to follow Luca and Juniper’s love story — and to find out if they are truly perfect mates. In their journey to get to know one another better, they embrace each others’ homes, traditions, and cultures. However, things get… a bit dicey (and spicy!) along the way. Will putting Juniper at risk and testing the relationship bring Juniper and Luca closer together? ✨
P.S. I did find two typos while reading, so that did contribute to my overall rating.
Zora Fox is an auto-buy author for me! I loved this novella so much! Not only is this book great for reaching your reading goals but it also has a great plot and the perfect amount of spice! I can’t wait to read more in the Deathless Love series! I 100% recommend checking it out!

Full Moons and Vampires is a part of "The Deathless Love series that welcomes you to the Eight Realms, where danger and desire lurk in every corner, and mythology isn't quite as you remember it. Each spicy standalone features a different relationship. These interconnected stories can be read in any order."
This is the first book I have read from this author and it was fantastic! I look forward to reading the other books in the series as well as other books she may have. Please read warning if they may effect you. I really loved this slow burn, that turns very spicy. The story was well written and the characters were well rounded. I was drawn into the story and I couldn't put it down! Juniper and her boyfriend Luca have some obstacles to work through. I love enough? Guess you better read to find out!
This is the most toxic couple ever and not in a hot way, in a painfully realistic way. This entire novel was continuously problems of their own making with little resolve and just using an orgy as a band aid. The spice was very vanilla until said orgy. The couple didn’t even seem like they liked each other for most of the book and talked about breaking up many times. Several grammatical errors as well
I do wish they did more connecting outside of sex. They had differences that needed a proper adult conversation but sex fixed all their miss communications. I liked Juniper a lot, she was curious and ambitious and accepting, a great FMC. And the writing was well said. But I wish it was more than pure spice, (even though the spice itself was good.)
I didn’t finish the book so I cannot leave a rating. The story wasn’t there for me. There were Vampires and Fawns. They live in a society all together. It is frowned upon to mix. But the thought of a fawn being intimate with a vampire did not do it for me. The fawn wasn’t a shape shifter btw. She had a human face but fawn like lower body.
This was a quick and spicy read. Exactly what I was looking for. This is my 3rd Zora Fox book and I am intrigued by her ideas and the way she reimagines the different Greek mythology and the stories, like this one, that are intertwined with that world. This makes me want more of her lore about the Fauns and Vampires of Nyx as well as the other creatures that exist in this world.
Bottom Line: I want more! and I look forward to the rest of Zora's books!
