Ethan Stone is a protector. It’s what he was born to do. Protect. Dominate. Control. And everyone always obey him. Everyone except her. Cate Ripley. She’s cool. Emotionless. Removed from the world. And he cannot stop thinking about her. Worrying over her. Wanting her.
Cate doesn’t understand Ethan Stone. She’s done everything she can think of to keep him at a distance. Yet, he’s always there. Annoying her. Prodding at her. The last thing she needs in her life is a bossy, overbearing man telling her what to do. Claiming that she needs a Daddy to take care of her.
Cate put a wall up between herself and her emotions years ago and she has no intention of allowing anyone, least of all Ethan Stone, to shatter that barrier.
Because if he does . . . she knows he won’t stick around to pick up the pieces.
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
Finding Guardian Daddy in my inbox was a treat, one i couldn’t wait to dive into. Knowing it was Ethan, knowing he’d been waiting for his own Little, made it so much sweeter. So much more tempting….and finding out who she was,was even better. Because Cate may have seen herself as weird, she proved to be anything but!
Having suffered from abuse in the past, having been bullied, even though her twinbrother Rhodes tried to protect her as much as he could, made Cate weary of people. Yes,she was autistic, and yes,she needed a routine to her daily life to deal with what life threw at her. But she wasn’t crazy….she just needed a space to call her own. With Rhodes being stalked,it meant that space was going to be invaded by strangers…..and that took adjusting. Knowing they were friends of Ink,who she’d known since they were kids, helped a little. And once they’d met,she found herself strangely attracted to one of them. The best thing she could do,was probably going to be to keep a distance, though. Because there was no way he’d want anything to do with a weird girl like her…..
Having a stalker that’d broken into their home when Cate was there alone crossed a line for Rhodes, and he’d asked his old friend Ink for protection. Ethan and Seth were the ones to fly over to LA,and stay with them until the stalker was caught. But when Ethan laid eyes on Rhodes’ sister Cate, his protective gene focussed solely on her….. He already knew she was “different”,but seeing her made it clear to him just how different. He also knew he had to tread carefully to avoid driving her away, but it was totally worth it!
Even though Cate did try to hide,Ethan found a way to get closer, and he even managed to break a little of her routine without her getting into a panic. Before she knew it,she started to trust him,and even open up to him a little. But after he met her Little when she’d had a nightmare, she feared he might lose interest…. She shouldn’t have worried,though…..because it opened up a whole new wonderful world! One where she had a caring, but stern Daddy that saw her,and gave her exactly what she needed.
If only the outside world didn’t insist on barging in…. Like Rhodes’ girlfriend Samantha, that bitch. And Kevin, his arsehole agent. Not to mention Rhodes’ stalker, who seemed to have help…..
I loved how sweet Ethan was with Cate, how he saw what she needed and gave it in spades. How he tried to protect her from the world, and even quit his job so he could spend all of his time taking care of his sweet Catie pie. When Rhodes saw how much she opened up,he knew Ethan was the man she needed.
This may have been a slowburn,it was clear from the start what Ethan wanted. And it may have taken a long time to get there, but it was totally worth it. I usually don’t have the patience for slowburn stories, but Laylah is a firm exception. The love she pours into them is palpable, and i always enjoy myself immensely. Because there’s sweet, there’s fun and humor, there’s so much caring, and it builds so beautifully,i’m always sad it ends. Even if it leaves me very satisfied….
4.7 stars. Just a note. The MC is not much a part of this story except in the background, mentioned in thoughts sometimes and a ride in the very end. I don’t mind it because Ethan is a bodyguard first and foremost anyway, but some other people might, so I thought I’d mention it.🤷🏻♀️
I absolutely love Ethan with Cate. She’s perfect for him. He needs to be needed and she’s never been able to put her trust and care fully into someone else’s hands. The perfect combo. Plus I love that he thinks she’s so cute and she’s just like. ‘What? I didn’t do anything.’ Adorable. The lot of em.
And that ending? Perfection. I love when we get stuff like that happening. (Being vague so as not to spoil anything🫢)
Wow did Laylah do an amazing job representing a FMC with autism / being neurodivergent.
This topic really hits close to home for me and the fact that such care was taken really endears this book and Laylah to me (even more if that's possible for how much of a fan girl I am lol)
I absolutely swooned over how patient and caring Stone was was with Cate.
I appreciated the levels of intrigue/who done it layered in the story. I'm getting better at picking out the players early on but always anxiously read on looking for the why's.
Very much a slow burn - be patient will reading - but it fits the characters and storyline and is very worth it.
I'll say it one last time, the autism rep was amazing. I will be buying this book in all formats because of how well it was done and how special it was to me. 🩵💜
I couldn't get into this book at all. If I'm honest save for the characters names I wouldn't have thought it was the same series. I couldn't even get half way. I tried but I cannot recommend this instalment at all. Not the authors usual calibre of work. Such a shame as I have loved every book this author has written.
Guardian Daddy is the 13th installment in Laylah Roberts’ MC Daddies series. In it she chronicles the romantic journey o Cate Ripley and Ethan Stone. Destiny brings them together when Ethan and a fellow body guard fly to Los Angeles wo keep Cate and her brother, Rhodes, safe. Rhodes, a well-known movie star, is the subject of unknown individuals that threaten him. Ethan is an former special forces operative and a DD. Cate is an intellectual properties attorney and an LG with autism. When she is captured in the web of evil demons determined to control and manipulate Rhode into doing their bidding Ethan and his team are called into action.. Will Cate and Ethan have an HEA? Can he keep her safe? Ms. Roberts does a excellent job with this age-play romantic suspense. She masterfully uses literary devices like dialog, dual POV, and descriptive language to move her plot line along at a well-paced speed. The characters are likeable. The dual POV allows readers to get a better understanding of the characters. I appreciate how Ms. Roberts uses a dual prong effect with regards to her plot line. The first prong highlights the age-play romantic journey of these two complex primary characters. Readers witness the internal struggles as they evolve and grow, thus, making this a character-driven plotline. The second prong of the plot lies with the investigation into threats against Rhodes. I thought it was clever of Ms. Roberts to use several antagonists to create this complex plotline. The integration of these dual plot lines contributed to this captivating age-play suspense while allowing Ms. Roberts to garner her reader’s attention. Nicely done, Ms. Roberts.
Ethan and Cate were such a fun, sweet and unique couple. I loved that their relationship was a slow burn, building on friendship and trust before taking that next step. Their pacing fit perfectly for the characters and the plot - which was crazy, suspenseful and all around entertaining :)
This has to be my current favorite by Ms. Roberts. It felt like I was reading one of her first Sanctuary Ranch books. I loved Cate, she was a sweetheart, even if she didn't see it herself, her personality was so refreshing and her reactions real and unfiltered. I also loved Stone. There is nothing I love more than a broody Hero but you throw some Daddy Dom love and I'm a puddle 🫠. Ethan was all that and I fell for each smile, pool side read and heartfelt conversation he shared with Cate.
This story also has some mystery and a good adrenaline spike with a crazed stalker and complicated family relationships that gave this story a little something extra. It definitely kept me guessing as to who was behind the threat and kept me engaged with the story along with the blossoming romance between our MCs.
Highly, HIGHLY recommend this one! It's a little different from the other books in this spin off series but I loved the change in scenery, the new characters and the overall feel of this story. It was different but in the best way! I've loved/liked all of this authors work but this gave me all the excited, warm feels that her first books did, back when I first discovered my love for Daddy kink and Dd/lg. No surprise that this is a favorite and I can't wait to be able to order a paperback copy for my shelf!
On a side note, loved Rhodes and hope he gets his own story. Am I the only one crossing all my fingers and toes he gets paired with Polly?!?!? Please tell me I'm not alone in wishing we get a Daddy Rhodes, famous actor/heartthrob falling hard and and fast for the sweet, shy, introverted assistance, Polly?!?! After what she had to put up with between Samantha's awfulness and Rhodes cluelessness, please! She deserves a caring Daddy, even if he should have to work extra hard to convince her to give him a chance - it's only fair after he overlooked her so completely for someone so shallow and fake, anyone could see from a mile away! #SorrynotSorry for my rant!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I've become addicted to Laylah Roberts' MC Daddies series, and with each novel it just gets better and better, and Guardian Daddy, the 13th novel in the series is no exception. It gets 5 big stars!
Ethan has been called upon to protect Cates twin brother, Rhodes, a Hollywood heartthrob, from a stalker, and because he's told from the start to be careful around Cate because she is on the autism spectrum, and later learns that her psyche has been additionally damaged after having suffered greatly when she was raised by a verbally abusive aunt, uncle, and cousin, after the death of her parents. When Ethan meets her, he can't help being attracted to this smart and lovely woman. Ethan, a Daddy Dom, and a kind-hearted, protective guardian by nature, totally gets it, is immediately attracted to Cate, sees the Little she tries to hide, and cares enough to help her accept her Little side, deal with her many psychological issues, and his kindness and understanding all made this novel even more special to this reader.
This is a novel with explores, with great depth, the issue of autism, and does it so well. But it is also a novel of romantic suspense, wondering just who Rhodes' stalker is, why this person is obsessed with him, and why Cate is also being stalked and threatened. Cate lives with Rhodes, but his girlfriend, Samantha, is obnoxious, self-centered, and also treats Cate miserably whenever Rhodes is not around to see her physical and verbal abuse of his beloved sister. So, in addition to the slow growing relationship between Cate and Ethan, there's a mystery to be solved, and a culprit to be caught, and a shocker of an ending as well. All in all, a great read.
There is also a reunion of sorts with many of the other Littles and Daddy Doms we've met in previous novels in this series, but if this is your first read in the series, have no fear, this novel works just fine as a standalone, although I recommend reading all the previous novels in this series since I've enjoyed each and every one of them.
Obviously there are triggers in this novel, including self-harm, verbal and physical abuse, violence and autism, all handled with great delicacy, but if any of these are triggers for you, this may not be the novel for you. However, if none of the aforementioned are issues for you, I think you'll enjoy this novel as much as I did, and I'm already looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.
Fantastic addition to series. wonderful characters and plot that Sherlock Holmes would be proud of Ink had been contacted by school friend Rhodes and now successful actor that was being stalked and he needed help to keep his twin sister safe. Ink had put Ethan and another man on bodyguard duty along with Brody who was dealing with all of the security and technical side of things to keep the house safe. Cate who is Rhodes sister suffers from some autism issues which has made her fairly reclusive and she has worked from home and as long as she has only had a few people around has managed. However, this threat to Rhodes and the subsequent break-in when Cate had been alone had caused her to regress into Little space. Fortunately, Ethan who is a Daddy Dom and who works at the club with the littles was able to deal with Cate but realised that he wanted to help her as much as he could so was appointed as Cates full time bodyguard. Rhodes girlfriend had suddenly claimed to be receiving threatening letters as well and Rhodes allows her to move in which stresses Cate out even more as she is a loud, rood, inconsiderate woman that has her eyes firmly set on what she can get from being with Rodes no matter what, or so it would seem to those not wearing rose coloured spectacles. As things continue to escalate and there is a violent attack on Cate and Ethan as they are driving back to the house after she attended an appointment with a client, it was only Ethans excellent driving skills and assistance from the MC that had enabled him to keep Cate safe. The more time that Ethan and Cate spend together and he is able to help her little enjoy relaxing and playing rather that worrying all the time and the transformation in her is amazing, than has to tell Rhodes of his feelings and the fact that he wants to care for her 24/7 and help her with her care by loving her and showing her she can trust him to always be there and to love her for who she his, his beautiful and sweet girl “Catie Pie”. There are so many twists and turns and you are kept guessing about the stalker and the reason why all this is going on and I guarantee that you will be totally captivated by this simply amazing plot. I cannot wait to read future books in this series and look forward to hearing what other readers thought of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Guardian Daddy, the 13th book in the MC Daddies series by Laylah Roberts, is an engaging and skillfully written story. The book centers on Ethan, a stern and protective Daddy Dom who has been feeling lonely lately. He has watched his friends find their perfect little and was starting to doubt if he would ever find love. Ethan gets pleasure from taking care of others, but he's been criticized before for being too overbearing with this need. Cate, the main female character, has autism and struggles with deep insecurities stemming from childhood abuse by her aunt, uncle, and cousin who raised and and her brother after their parents died.
I really enjoyed this book. Cate's autism was portrayed with care and realism, making it a natural part of her character rather than just a detail added for the sake of diversity. Ethan’s acceptance and understanding of Cate, along with the way he embraced all the ways she learned to function and cope, was heartwarming. He never made her feel weird or out of place. Their relationship was beautifully written, showing how they brought out the best in each other.
The story also included a mystery involving a stalker targeting Cate’s twin brother, Rhodes, who is a Hollywood star. The mystery was seamlessly woven into the plot, complementing the main focus on the romance without feeling like an afterthought. I also loved revisiting characters from previous books in the series. If you’re new to the series, you’ll still be able to follow along easily, but for longtime readers, these appearances are a delightful bonus.
Laylah Roberts’ writing continues to improve, and as long as she keeps writing, I’ll keep reading.
“Even if being with me brings different sorts of challenges?” she asked. “Baby, I’ve never backed away from a challenge yet. I certainly don’t intend to when the prize is you.”
To those who have followed this series of interconnected standalones, here in Guardian Daddy we are getting the story for Ethan (Stone) and Cate! Ethan works for a security company and is assigned to protect a celebrity friend from a st@lker, as well as their sister Cate. As soon as Ethan meets Cate, he feels a need to protect her after seeing how quickly she tries to shield her emotions from others, or her habit of constantly apologizing for her actions (or more so reactions) to things due to having autism.
From the very beginning, Ethan was so patient and understanding with her!! He genuinely never judged her for her needs or accommodations. When she began to worry that he was accommodating her to a point where he’s hiding his frustrations, he reassured her that he will always communicate his feelings calmly so they can find what works for them rather than force her to do something she’s not comfortable with. It was also wonderful to see that while Ethan was careful to never overwhelm Cate, he consistently worked to get her out of her shell so she could enjoy new experiences and feel less restricted in her daily life.
“She got the feeling that her safe place was becoming less a place and more a person. Him.”
I fell in love with this couple very quickly and their story was truly beautiful. These two fill a space in the hearts of each other just like a perfect little puzzle piece.
I am a HUGE fan of all of Laylah’s work and this book was another great addition to an already amazing series! If you have not read any of her work yet, I highly suggest you give it a try! (This book is part of a series of standalones, however they are interconnected for greater enjoyment.)
Love all the books in this series, Laylah Roberts has such a way with words and building the characters. This time she took on a topic, a diversity that doesn't get written into stories often. Ethan Stone, strong and dominant, a little closed down, keeping his heart very protected, but watching all his friends get their happy ever afters, and wondering if he'll find his missing piece. I've watched him throughout the MC Daddies series, he Daddies over all the Littles, especially Brody, until the Fox came into the fold. Enter's Cate, perceived as emotionless, closed off, she is highly intelligent and loves her brother with all her heart. Both Rip and Cate have lived through very tough times, he has been her protecting big brother their entire life. Big brother gets even more so when in walks a stalker, is he/she after him or Cate ... to the rescue Ink and his crew. Laylah presents autism so clearly and respectfully, show's that people with autism are just like everyone else, they deserve happy, respect and acceptance. Ethan is the perfect Daddy for the job, watch his struggle and fall to loving Cate. She trust him, he wants to protect her. Lots of great content, feels of emotions and understand by the time it is all said and done ... what people won't do to get what they think they deserve or don't deserve. Ethan will move mountains to have Cate in his life and make sure she is protected and achieves her goals. All his brothers in the MC are there to back him up ... who's next would love to see a where they all are in 5-10 years.
This was a very sweet love story with mystery and a stalker. This story is about a young woman who is a Little and she is on the autism spectrum.
This story centers around a woman named Cate Ripley. She is emotionless and cold. She doesn’t understand her bodyguard Ethan Stone. Him and a few other guys that he knows was sent because Cate’s brother Rhodes is being threatened by a stalker. They are leaving notes and other things. Ethan is very dominant and protective. Cate can’t read people’s emotions or what they’re thinking. She is standoffish with Ethan. One night she regresses into a Little and Ethan realized that she was a Little and he knew that he could understand her because he has experience being a Daddy Dom. He finds out that she has night terrors and that she doesn’t remember being in Little Space. She gets anxiety and she has bad experiences with her brother’s girlfriend who is totally a bad person. Ethan begins to protect and do things for Cate when she is an adult and when she is a Little. She is not comfortable with people touching her except for Ethan. He begins to explain to her about being a Daddy Dom and wanting to be her Daddy. The mystery about who the stalker was quite easy to figure out. I loved Ethan and how sweet he was with Cate and protective as well. This was a sweet romance and I enjoyed reading it.
Ms. Roberts has done it again! She is a master at creating characters you fall in love with, and she always delivers the feels. She also puts in a great deal of research so her characters come across as believable and she handles every situation with care. This story gives us a neurospicy character in Cate, who's autistic and suffers from PTSD. She's suffered a lot in her relatively short life and she keeps her circle small because of it. Her only constant has been her brother Rhodes, but Rhodes is in danger and things are going to push Cate out of her comfort zone. Enter Ethan. He's sent to protect Ethan, and by association Cate.
The story has suspense, danger, tenderness, passion, and so much sweetness. I loved the way both Ethan and Rhodes protect and care for Cate, and I love the way Cate cares for them in return. Ethan is the perfect protective Daddy. He shows Cate that she can depend on someone other than her brother. He shows her she's stronger than she thinks she is, and she grows and flourishes in his love. The story also has glimpses of some of the other MC Daddies couples, and an ending that had me gleeful. It's another winner and I can't wait for the next one.
Ethan Stone ( Manny Boulder) is a disillusioned Daddy Dom and a Callahan Security Specialist with an assignment to Bodyguard a Movie Star and his twin sister(they are childhood friends of Ink and Duke)Cate Ripley twin Sister of a famous man Autistic and survivor of childhood emotional abuse.Cate is Stunningly Beautiful,Brilliant,Fragile and Emotionally Guarded and retreats from everyone but her brother.until she becomes intrigued by one of the new bodyguards.Ethans heart goes out to the emotionally fragile and beautiful women so much so he can’t get her out of his thoughts and all his protective instincts come to the surface (and a few possessive ones also)getting Cate to trust him becomes a day to day goal and the closer she gets to him the more he wants.Cate just never thought anyone could be around her and not get sick of her especially this totally handsome charismatic man.watching them fall in Love was truly enjoyable. We also have interactions with many old friends
Despite the sensitive subject, there was a lot to like about this book by Ms. Roberts. Cate’s interaction with others was almost too painful, and yes, it did cause triggers for me, as I saw a lot of myself in Cate, but there was also humor. The contrast between the two sides of Cate was fascinating. I admired her bluntness. She had no social filter whatsoever, then she would hide herself away. The waves of emotions often overwhelm her, but she came out the other side, unwilling to let go of Ethan. He was her rock.
Ethan could not have been more perfect for Cate. He calmed her when she was distressed. Reduced her triggers. His touch calmed her, allowing her to regress to where she was less anxious in little space, but he didn't let her always have her way. He protected her from herself and everyday stress.
This was a fantastic read with danger, exciting characters, good and evil, twists and turns that I did not see coming, and when you unravel Cate’s past, you can imagine why her present was in such a mess.
What a fabulous story to his was to read. I have read all Laylahs books to date and each one is really good. But I thought this one was the best because of Cates character. We have had other women with other challenging traits but however Cates story and her Autism were so interesting I thought. As for Ethan he really was a great Daddy Dom and he was understanding and so good at communicating with Cate with what she needed.
Ethan and Seth have been sent to guard a friend of Inks that has been sent threatening notes. He has a sister that has Autism and doesn't like any one touching her and doesn't like loud noises are just a couple of her issues. Slowly but surely Ethan gets to know her and soon with more threats around and things happening Ethan becomes her guardian
loved, loved this, it has been a pleasure to read.
What a fantastic story! Words cannot describe how much I loved it with every fiber of my being! It’s not just about DD/lg, it tells of a young woman who has autism and all her challenges in life who just wants someone to love and accept her. When a threat happens she is assigned a bodyguard named Ethan. From the first moment he sees her, he is instantly attracted to Cate. He will do anything to protect her and it shows in every action he takes. I melted every time he helped her when she had trouble dealing with her anxiety. His kindness and caring just made me fall in love with him. And Cate? What a breath of fresh air. She may be a bit quirky but I found her to be quite charming and endearing. These two belong together in every sense of the word. I thoroughly enjoy this series and this story is the perfect addition!
2.75 🌟 The beginning was promising but it went downhill fast. Too much "woe is me" with this heroine. Autism, abuse & PTSD + self harm, with being a Little as a cherry on top made me feel like she was a minor in need of hardcore therapy + medication. Not a sexy scenario (the low level of spice kinda makes me think the writer didn't feel comfortable either with the physical aspect of that romantic relationship): Try imagining the situation reversed with a mommy Domme & a male Little & tell me that the situation wouldn't squeak you out...😬 The multiple ridiculous antagonists (let's book an exorcist too while I'm here) didn't help either. Her bro should have gone MIA & become an hermit under an alias somewhere.

It’s a wonderful story, well written and very entertaining. I loved the storyline and the H/h were well developed characters. Cate’s dialogue while in Little space is so well written that I could picture her and all the expressions she was experiencing. I loved Ethan and his attraction for all sides of Cate. He would be most women’s ideal man. Danger is real and seems to be ever present. Previous characters make appearances and I especially love that the Fox is still present but in the shadows. It’s a wonderful addition to the MC Daddies series and definitely worth reading. Enjoy! I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and are voluntarily leaving a review.
🖤Bodyguard 🖤Daddy Dom 🖤Forced Proximity 🖤Romantic Suspense
Guardian Daddy is the twelfth book of the MC Daddies series of interconnected standalones. I absolutely love this series and Cate and Ethan’s story didn’t disappoint! Ethan is hired to protect Cate and her movie star brother from a stalker. Cate hasn’t had an easy life but her brother will do anything to protect her. I loved how patient Ethan is with Cate and how fiercely protective he is of her. This is a super slow burn but once things heat up they are HOT! This story was sweet, suspenseful, steamy and beautiful! I can’t wait for more of this series and group of characters that I have grown to love!
Ethan Stone is a hard man. He has been feeling discontent lately. All his friends are settling down with their Littles and going home to his empty home is no longer appealing. He’s sent on a bodyguard job for his boss Ink and there he meets Cate. Cate has autism and often struggles to understand others emotions. She doesn’t care for disruption in her routine or being around new people. Ethan knows immediately that Cate is his! He’s completely enchanted by her. Their journey to love is beautiful. There are lots of tender moments. Also, the FOX makes a cameo!!!! If you aren’t reading this series, you should be! Every single book is delicious!
I'm always happy to read a book with a well - written character who has autism. Cate was fascinating. I was so happy with Stone's happy ending. I loved Rhodes character. I hope he falls madly in love with Polly, because they both deserve wonderful things. Plus, I think her & Cate will be fast friends.
I love that Royal & Baron adore their new sister. The thought of them having a protege is also a little terrifying.
So many new characters to love in this book. As always, it's lovely to read about past favourites as well. Speaking of, the Fox has always had a poetic sense of justice.
Laylah Roberts does it again with Guardian Daddy, serving up a hot, alpha protector in Ethan Stone, who is equal parts swoon-worthy and stubborn as hell. He's all about control, but Cate Ripley? She's not having it cool, detached, and totally not interested in letting anyone close. But when Ethan sets his sights on her, it's game over.
This book delivers a steamy blend of emotional tension and sizzling chemistry that'll have you turning pages like your life depends on it. If you're into protective Daddies who know how to take care of their women, Guardian Daddy is your next must-read.
Strong alpha vibes and Daddy Dom dynamics ahead. Proceed with caution and a fan handy!
Cate is autistic and very intelligent. Her movie star brother is being stalked, enter Ethan the bodyguard. Somehow the bossy, quiet, controlling Stone finds that Cate is the woman meant for him. Not without lots of landmines. She has to learn to open to him and trust him. He finds the Daddy in him is soothed and fed by her various needs.
This book takes on the subjects of people needing special ways of dealing with life and that also fed by kink lifestyle. I enjoyed this book. Do not expect this to be a fast read. Take your time to enjoy all the twists, turns, and personalities.
Rhodes Ripley, an actor has been receiving threatening letters. When the stalker breaks in while Rhodes sister is home alone, Ethan Stone is selected to go to California for protection. Ethan is immediately drawn to Cate, as she brings his daddy dom to the forefront. Cate is socially awkward and struggles with change. The team is stretched thin and the stalker is ramping up his antics. As Cate and Ethan spend more time together, they develop a relationship. As the case takes many twist and turns, you learn about Cate's horrible upbringing and Ethan vows to protect her. Overall, this was a fast and enjoyable read and I cannot wait for the next installment.
What a delightful story and sensitive dealing with autism. I have a relative who has a T-shirt with please don’t touch me on it, and another with I don’t hug so I really appreciate how accurate the portrayal is. Ethan is the perfect partner for Cate aside from her being a little and him being a daddy, he is so sensitive and instinctively knows what she is thinking and what she needs. Cate may be a little but she is one smart cookie and so sweet, who wouldn’t love her. There are mysteries to be solved and some much loved characters make an appearance. A lovely read.
Ethan, just, swoon! If I were to want a Daddy, I would want Ethan! Lucky Cate!
This story is so special! So emotional! The care Ethan takes with Cate.
Surely I did not want Cate's brother to come to harm so I was thankful Ethan's services were available!
I love that for the most part the characters are relatable. Yeah, I know Cate's brother is a movie star needing protection, but without him, Cate and Ethan would never have met, I'm sure!
