I finished this book on June 13, 2026 but forgot to mark it until now. This book was excellent!! It was a living novena and I loved it. It was 9 days of learning about the 9 choirs of angels and going deeper into the virtues and explaining more fully the prayers we’re praying for in the St. Michael Chaplet which I’ve been praying every single day since way before I read this book but now when I pray it I’m understanding the different choirs of angels I’m praying with and what their duties are and etc. Let’s just say that praying the St. Michael Chaplet hits way differently now and in the best way!!

In this Living Novena, Marge Steinhage Fenelon emphasizes ways we can grow in virtue with the help of St. Michael the Archangel and the nine choirs of angels. This book is much more than a reminder to persevere in prayer; it is an invitation to live out the virtues we pray to develop.

Always been intrigued by angels. This is an easy to read, simple look at the 9 choirs of angels. And brought an appreciation to the St. Michael chaplet… it’s been one of my go to meditations lately.

This was a good book, it was a good intro into the different types of angels and the different levels and what they do. It’s a good beginner if you don’t know very much about them. I enjoyed it.
