Sol Abramowitz by Travis Myers & Natasha Myers Marsiguerra

Sol Abramowitz is the fifth installment in the Tommy Keane series and like the first four books it does not disappoint!
I absolutely loved the prologue. I chatted with Travis for a bit and he told me the prologue is based on real events. And that made it even more epic. It's about a woman who struggles with her mental health and is completely losing it. Travis is able to calm her down and get her the help she needs by forming a kinship with her. It was funny, heartfelt and I really felt for Annie. Brilliant start for this fifth novel.
The main story is about a Jewish man who gets murdered in a matter of seconds by blunt force trauma on the head. There are two witnesses but they don't have a lot of distinctive information about the suspect. And thus the story starts and develops.
Tommy and his old pal Clay Johnson are on the case and they first turn to the daughter and son of the victim. But when a tip comes through the tipline they also have a few new insights by the caller Joel. But nothing is what it seems and things quickly evolve and new insights are gained in every chapter.
I loved the plot twist and the ending of the book. It really hit me personally. And I am grateful for how respectfully the situation was approached and described. Sol is such a brilliant book and I am so glad I read it.
I loved the one scene with Molly and I completely understood her actions. It kinda ripped through me and I am grateful for the bond Molly and Tommy share. And in all fairness. I am shipping those two so hard. Screw the age gap! I just want them to be endgame!
If you loved the first four books then I am 100% sure you'll love this one too. And if you haven't read any of these books. Please pick them up. They are so good! They are written by a man who actually worked as a cop. And I love how realistic and truthful these stories are. It's like you shadow a cop for a day and see how actual crimes get solved.

I am very excited to be writing the very first review for Sal Abramowitz, the fifth installment in the Tommy Keane series.
In this installment, Tommy investigates the death of an elderly man who took a couple of whacks to the head with a blunt weapon.
This story is much shorter than the previous books but as always comes to a very satisfying conclusion... and as usual, I didn't see THAT coming!
You know what else I didn't see coming?? JUMBLIES!! I had never heard this term used to describe boobs and laughed SO hard!! I think I'll use this from now on. End of the day - sooo happy to be done my work day! Release the jumblies! Bahaha!

Sol Abramowitz is the fifth book of the Tommy Keane detective series, and although it certainly could be read as a stand-alone, I absolutely suggest you begin with book one and work your way through, it will definitely make for a better story in the end.
I have to admit I have become a big fan of this series and have a bit of a crush on our hero Tommy Keane, the no nonsense detective who seems to work more from his heart sometimes than with his head.
In this book Tommy is reunited with an old police friend "Clay" from the Bronx, who is assigned to Tommy's squad and catches a case of an elderly man who has been beaten to death, together they discover who the killer is, and the very strange tale of how and why this killing happened.
Definitely worth the read, especially for all you crime and mystery fans out there.
And definitely start with book one, Sister Margaret, this is a great series, don't pass it by!

ANOTHER GOOD ONE!
The magic of this series (for me anyway) is that they are really simple page turners that not only read like episodes of your favorite HBO series, but once you're invested you realize that each book is just a very long chapter to Tommy Keane's life.
Each book is a separate case that picks up just after the last case is closed, and I imagine it is much like a real detective's life, just one case after the next, Tommy's personal life also follows along with each case, so we end up curious about his mother, daughter, dog, ex-wife, and girlfriend, as well as the other squad members as we follow along with each book.
Sol Abramowitz, is a quick hit, similar to book one Sister Margaret, and in true Tommy Keane fashion, it's a sad story with a bizarre ending, and numerous colorful characters along the way, including a new squad detective, Clay Johnson, who I hope we see more of as he delivers more back story to our protagonist Tommy Keane.

Another killer story (literally) from the Myers siblings.
Sol Abramowitz is the fifth book in what has become my favorite detective series, at only 161 pages I ripped through this page turner in one long but single sitting and loved everything about it.
I also found it's shortness almost refreshing, where so many novels are drawn out with nonsensical drivel that doesnt pertain to the story, this brother and sister team have a nack for delivering quite satisfying stories in tight susinct packages... All killer and no filler!
I reccomend this series to crime and mystery fans who like a realistic police procedural, with an honest believable lead character to walk you through the story.
Tommy Keane does not disappoint!

I have become a big fan of this series and would very much like to have Tommy Keane's baby!
This edition to the saga is only 161 pages long and is the shortest Tommy Keane novel to date, but as they all do, it packs a hell of a punch!
We're introduced to a new character from Tommy's past, Detective Clay Johnson, who is an excellent addition to the series, and who tells a great story from the time he and Tommy spent as anti-crime officers in the Bronx.
Clay is who lands the Sol Abramowitz case, the murder of an old man in the 2-1 precinct, and we follow Clay, Tommy, and the squad through the investigation and to its wild and unexpected conclusion.

I got sent this book by mistake when I ordered another book, but I opened the package a few weeks too late to return, so I decided to read it, since I'm an avid bookworm. I hadn't heard of the series before, but I'm glad I happened upon this book as it was interesting. It seems one of the co-authors has a background as a police detective in New York, and that showed in the action scenes and dialogue in this book, which read as very believable and in that sense, it was an immersive read. It's also a nice hardcover volume, so would make a good collectible for those who like the genre. Not my usual genre or read, but I appreciated the chance to read it.

Big Fan of Tommy Keane!
I've read all five of these books and Tommy Keane has become my favorite detective, I think his charm is that he is a regular guy, there are no odd characteristics, no major flaws that he's forced to overcome, just a solid hard working NYPD Detective that throws everything he has into each case until it's closed, and he always thanks everyone who helps him along the way.
This one, like all of the Keane books has a wild ending that I never saw coming, but as wild as it is its completely believable and on point for this series.

SHORT BUT VERY SATISFYING!
Sol Abramowitz is a fast-paced hard-hitting old-school detective novel, as always, this one pulls no punches, this one is a quick page turner that I read over a weekend.
It's another honest depiction of a New York City murder, but one where the truth behind it is even more unsettling and stranger than the murder itself.
Detective Tommy Keane is as usual impossible not to like, and I look forward to reading the next case he catches.
This was an excellent read, and highly recommended to the crime fiction fan!

Tommy Keane, has cemented himself in my heart as my favorite fictional Detective, I think that happened a couple of boos back in this series, but none the less, here I am rekindling this romance with the latest in the series Sol Abramowitz.
This one is a shorty, at about 180 pages I flew through it in one day, and the page turner that it was had me reading at a feverish pace to see what happened next.
It's another classic Keane case with a brutal NYC murder, with a wild unpredictable ending.
If you like a gritty crime series, this one is a must!

The prologue hooked me in! Tommy and his partner investigate the death of an elderly man.
This is shorter than the other books and I quickly through this in one sitting. It’s a fast paced page turner. I love that there are no filler scenes. Everything on the page matters.
I loved the ending and look forward to more cases with Tommy Keane.

I have come to love everything about this series!
The authors continually tell gripping stories that are perfectly believable, and make you feel as though you are standing right next to the detectives as they unfold, with zero fluff or filler, and Sol Abramowitz, is a perfect addition to Tommy Keane's story, a story I definitely feel that I personally have become a part of.
This is a very simple story of a tragic murder that delivers another wow ending!

I live for the Tommy Keane series and the fifth installment is available and of course, it does not disappoint! 𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳 is the newest addition and I think this one might be new favorite of the series.
With each new book we get a new crime case that always is realistic, gritty, and complicated. I love how the authors create such an intriguing story, it’s almost like watching a true crime documentary. Our main character Tommy Keane is the most perfect detective and although the plot is heavily focused on the case, we continue to learn about his personal life and his realtionships with his coworkers.
𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳 is a quick read, under 200 pages this can be read in half a day. The tension was high throughout, and the ending was fire. 100% reccomend this series- these can all be read as standalones as they are all seperate cases but you won’t regret starting from book one.
