This book is the RCIA! Exactly like LTP's ritual edition in size and pagination, this study edition enables everyone involved with the RCIA to have a working copy of the entire document. With ample margins for notes, sturdy but flexible binding, clearly numbered paragraphs in the introduction and texts, this edition is for study, reflection, and preparation of liturgy. The introduction to the entire RCIA and the introduction to each of the rites express the understanding that should be the foundation of the parish catechumenate.Who should have a copy of this book? The catechumenate team, catechists, music ministers, sacristans, pastors and pastoral associates, the liturgy team, deacons, presiders, seminarians, and theology students. The Catholic Church, also known as the Roman Catholic Church, is the world's largest Christian church. Led by the Pope, it defines its mission as spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacraments and exercising charity. The Catholic Church is among the oldest institutions in the world and has played a prominent role in the history of Western civilisation. It teaches that it is the church founded by Jesus Christ, that its bishops are the successors of Christ's apostles and that the Pope is the successor to Saint Peter. Catholic doctrine maintains that the Church is infallible when it dogmatically teaches a doctrine of faith or morals. Catholic worship is centred on the Eucharist in which the Church teaches bread and wine are supernaturally transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ. The Church holds the Blessed Virgin Mary in special regard. Catholic beliefs concerning Mary include her Immaculate Conception and bodily Assumption at the end of her earthly life.

This is more "manual" than anything else. I would hope every person involved in helping with RCIA in the Catholic Church would have this.....it's a small, but very worth while investment.

This has the reasonings behind what is done in RCIA, and it is very user friendly.

This is a book of the rites for catechumens, baptized but not Catholic children and adults. There is background info about the rite but is very minimal. It's more of a how-to book.
