Preparedness Simplified is a clear and concise book that makes for an easy read. Donaldson’s book is filled with highly detailed information but made accessible for all audiences to grasp. It provides tangible material to practice in order to improve one’s preparedness efforts and plans. It explores relevant concepts such as social capital and relates such topics to how to build your personal preparedness plan. One of my favorite parts of the book is the “reciprocal agreement”, where two families can make an agreement and occupy the others home during a disruption. This type of material is usual oversimplified or under-explained but Donaldson’s finds the right balance and hits the nail on the head on various preparedness topics. The book is engaging and explores lots of interesting preparedness topics, I highly recommend.
