“My time with him often felt like I’d left my body and traveled to the sanctuary of another planet. I was always left void of gravity, speechless, and blessed to have that level of access.
When he orbited away, leaving behind residual stardust, I was left confused. Utterly demented, I was trapped inside a delusion that there ever was an us.”

—From the poetry accompaniment, Luna

"She’d undeniably gotten closer than any woman ever could. So close she triggered a pulse in my heart. So deep, she made it skip beats. So raw, she made me question myself. So pure, I had to sabotage her efforts. I was just trying to put the head in, not invite her into my head. For ten years, I sought to erase her from the sea horse-shaped organ in my head that stored memories. It hadn’t worked. She’d wiggled her effect deeper, the same way the moon’s energy forces us to face the innate and hidden parts of ourselves. I tossed my hands up in surrender and threw my hat back into love’s arena. A man can love many times in his life but only plunges the hilt of its depths a single time. Only one woman inspires such range.
I wanted Luna back." Luna and Sincere have a decade-long history of love, misunderstandings, heartache, and pain. This complex story of trauma, grief, inner work, and healing is the third installment of the Miller family series.

This is a dark romance with a heavy focus on childhood abuse, grief, and trauma.

“The ticket too low on that access fee, Lu. You gotta up the price,” yasssss because yesterday’s price is not today’s price!! 🗣️Take your access off clearance Luna!!!

After getting a glimpse of the angst and tension between Sincere and Luna in Saint’s book, I could not WAIT to get the back story on these two. Anytime a man has you running and shaking in your boots to get away from him, there is a story to be told.

Luna grew up in trauma and this trauma attached itself to her and even held on in her adult years for dear life. The abuse and neglect she experienced at the hands on those meant to protect her had her level of trust non existent. So when she and Sincere crossed paths during her early 20’s it took a lot for her to trust him. When things were good between these two they were great but when Sincere’s immaturity caused him to end things before they could truly take off, this left Luna devastated.

Sincere had his own issues that he was dealing with and he had no problem admitting that he wasn’t ready for Luna the first time around. He’s now mature, settled into his life and ready to claim the only woman that has truly had his heart. He had no idea he had his work cut out for him when it came to knocking down her walls but he was willing to take her down by any means necessary! While Sincere was ready to spin the block, Luna’s 10 year grudge had her house moved to a neighborhood out of his reach.

I LOVED Sincere!!! I mean LOVED!! It is something about these Miller men that just does it for me. Their significant others not so much 🥴! Saint got him a real one but lawd Sadie and now Luna DRAINED ME!!! DRAINED!!!! Luna was soooooo mf exhausting that I really found myself wanting to strangle her! She did things that didn’t make sense AT ALL and I hate that Sincere suffered because of her. Luna needed some serious therapy and idk why the author chose to wait until the end of the book to get her help! Even when things started to come together later in the book I still felt like Luna walked all over Sincere causing him to settle.

I’m honestly glad this series is complete and pray we don’t get a book on Serenity 🥴! Saint’s book could not be topped and I don’t feel like his siblings’s stories were needed.

hmmm Not sure how to feel

This could just be me and not to over look the trauma Luna went through but..smh she got on my nerves this whole book and I mean from the fashion show to the end. The spoiled brat behavior and her demeanor in this story is just crazy to me, it took way the passion and connection they had and Sincere deserved better than that. I know most readers will not agree with what I am about to stated, but throughout this book Luna was at fault with her unwillingness to heal to from what happened to her. Sincere gave her too much energy to me and gave in way too easy after what she did a second time. I see him at fault the first time, but the others was solely on her. All in all it was still a good read just not favorite to be me as the other two.

I don’t really care for the fmc of this book.. The groveling was to long in my opinion. It would be different if she was trying to communicate with him. The author didn’t really include her saying thank you for any of the gifts she never reached out to have a conversation with him just took the gifts and that was that. If she didn’t want to forgive him she should’ve told him instead of just taking the gifts.

“You said he may have changed. He may grow up, meaning he’s still the same old community dick-slinging, lying through his teeth, afraid-of-commitment asshole.”

Just tell him no instead of letting him spend a lot of money on you just to turn him down.. She would be mad saying it must’ve not been genuine if he wanted the gifts back.

“He’ll have the baby around a bunch of bitches I disapprove of and be exposing our child to his wicked ways. Nope. I’m good on that, too.” Are you serious?

Hiding the baby from him for as long as she did is crazy. She had no reason to hide her pregnancy. Like Tori said it’s definitely giving bitter because she’s assuming he’ll have the kid around other women key word ASSUMING. Unless she would be ok with him approving who she has the baby around why would she want to approve who he has around their kid? You obviously trusted him enough not to tell him to wear a condom especially if she wasn’t on birth control. I know it’s not always a guarantee you still won’t get pregnant but it still would’ve been a chance she didn’t get pregnant.

If you think he would have y’all baby around a lot of women why get back in bed with him..

Now reading that she had a miscarriage changes my mind a little about certain things but not all the way. I wish her having the miscarriage was brought up earlier in the book instead of almost the end. So he would’ve known why she wasn’t letting him in even after he groveled for almost or over two months. The first time was his fault but it was also hers because she chose to believe his actions over what he was telling her. If he’s saying he doesn’t want a serious relationship BELIEVE IT. The moment she started catching feelings she should’ve talked to him and set boundaries on what was ok and not ok or left before she fell in love. He was acting like they were in a relationship but saying he didn’t want one.

pulling on the heart strings

I just want to make a disclaimer that this is absolutely a good book, like i really was engaged from start to finish i enjoyed the way sincere’s character was written and his growth as a man, in comparison from him 10 years ago to now, BUT Luna stressed me out. Her lack of communication and her desire to shield herself definitely had her blocking her blessings, like it was a just a bit stressful because girl just communicate and stop running and not to give any spoilers but shawty wad DEAD WRONG ✋🏽. Like girl you is too grown to be doing that! Especially considering the way she grew up like please lets be logical for a second. Also i really feel bad for tori Sin and Luna both put her a position that she should not have been in and the way Sin was carrying on was not fair you cant forgive one without the other im sorry thats just my opinion and imma need Pre, Saint, and Papa Ramsey to check him on that because this here is what we not gone do especially when everyone should have that energy for Luna because girl how Dare you?!!!?!?!?!!!!! But rant over i love this author and her writing style and i love how she writes about real things!! Like this is black love and its beautiful and imperfect but its all worth it and im here for it🤎

Good Read

Sincere and Luna's story spanned the course of 10 years so they've had the most history so far. However, Luna stressed me out throughout this entire book. Yes I gave her grace because she experienced trauma at a very young age and yes Sincere hurt her, but at times it felt like she was doing too much, especially when Sincere was trying to right the wrongs he did. Overall it was still a good read.

Sin and Luna

Whew! This was a rough read for me. As much as I wanted to be annoyed with Luna, I OVERstand where she was coming from. Sin was perfect but he was very close, even in his unknowing. I enjoyed this read and hope the next book includes some details about the young girl and next steps for her. Idc, I want that Mama to suffer a bit. Terrible Mom, like ma’am.

Anyway, I don’t regret the read at all. So many lessons and real moments.

Random thought. what piss poor people Luna and Sincere are to not to even drop a dime to CPS about Evan and the little girl. I could not with this book. I have one more to read on the strength of Saint.
