I don't even know how to describe the Dare family in a way that conveys just how much I love this series!

Zahn and Remy made me smile like an absolute loon for the entirety of this fuckery. The way they figured things out felt so real, the tension was perfect and the way they are with each other.... Could. not. get. enough. 🤯

The entire Dare family dynamic is one that I haven't read before, but I love the openness and how there's absolutely no shame. The entire family are kinky fuckers, quite literally, and there's so much voyeurism but somehow it works and I'm impatient for more!

This is the first MM pairing to get their own book in the series, although there is another MM couple already established. I don't think it could be read as a standalone, that would be depriving yourself of seeing how all of these crazy characters work together, and understanding the dynamics. I don't usually read MF or MFM but this series is more of a 'bigger picture' kind of thing and every book builds on the previous one. No idea if that makes sense, but I definitely recommend reading the entire series - I binged them all in three days and have zero regrets!!

Gar...what can I say? I'm low key in love with him and he barely speaks or does anything 😂 he's like some kind of mythical fantasy man and I'm so impatient for his book to come!!!

I read this in June 2022 when it was free on Inkitt so my memory is a bit fuzzy on specifics but I remember that I loved these two best friends to lovers and couldn’t wait to buy the paperback if it was ever released. They have the best banter. I am so excited to see it’s being released!

This is book 5 of the Dare Brothers series that follows a family of ten brothers who own a resort in the wilds of Alaska with their ridiculously cool parents, all finding love.
Books 5 and 7 are MM and can be read as stand-alone in my opinion for strictly MM readers.
Lots of love, laughs, family loyalty, parental wisdom, openness, acceptance, lots of steamy steam, rowdy brother shenanigans, and lots of f*cks.
You will wish you were a part of this family and enjoy the atmosphere of the Alaska setting.

I think it's pretty much obvious by now that I absolutely love Nordika's books. It doesn't matter if it's MM, MF, or MFM. I enjoy all of them and all the different dynamics and vibes she gives us with each relationship.

It was so much fun to be back with this crazy family. They are like no other. The banter, love, openness, acceptance, NO, and I mean pretty much no boundaries household with extreme likes to voyeurism...The first 4 books were kinky, but I think this one takes the cherry lol

Zahn and Remy have been friends since forever. They share the business together just as their sexual adventures. They were always each others wingman, but suddenly, things started to change. Their energy shifts, and they both start to look at one another in slightly different light. At first, neither of them are being vocal about these new found intersts and were trying to keep up the hook up game just as it was, but one night can change everything, right?

This was sexy journey of self-discovery, exploring the boundaries and enjoying the connection, which always has been there on a completely new level. They were simply meant to be, and it was a joy to experience it.
I think one of my favourite parts was the possessive and territorial Zahn Dare. It was definitely an eye-opening experience to him. Who would have thought that Mr. Variety doesn't like to share, but I guess all cards are off the table when it comes to his Remy.

As I mentioned, the Dare family is unique and so them to the fault, and I simply love it. If you need advice, you just take a seat on a porch and wait for Mama Dare to do her magic!

I hope you'll give these guys and whole family a chance and be as addicted as I am 😁

Dare to be Different is book 5 of a proposed series of 7 and is an MM best friends to lovers romance. It was my first foray into the Dare Brothers series and thank goodness for Nordika Night's fabulous recap of the previous four books at the start, so I knew exactly what I was getting into!

I am now heading back to read the first four books in order (they are MF, MF, MF and MFM respectively) and then (because why wouldn't I?!) I'll re-read Dare to be Different, which is Zahn and Remy's story.

Dare to be Different is absolutely hilarious! Between the bestie banter, family snark and Mama Dare's feisty one liners and porch advice, I was sucked in from page one.

When I first started the Dare series it was on Wattpad, and then she moved to Inkitt. Getting to read about Zahn and Remy again was just a breathe of fresh air. The Dare family is the best, the porch chats are one of my favorite parts in this book. Mama Dare is awesome, as is the family dynamic they have. Mentally watching Remy and Zahn learn about each other and the lifestyle they are wanting is frustrating at first, but watching it bloom is the best thing ever. If you can relate to this book like I can, then it will some how make your heart feel lighter because the porch chats just hit home.

This is the first book I have read in this series and following along is no problem at all. I totally fell in love with the Dare family and now I need to read them all! The entire family dynamic is amazing, accepting, open and beautiful characters who know how to be real and honest. I live for families like this.

Zahn and Remy have been best friends forever, they are business partners and overall partners in crime with everything they do. Which lately has also included hooking up with people at the same time. The gradual turn from hooking up in each other’s vicinity to hooking up with each other had a very natural progression even if the freak outs accompanying them were not a walk in the park. Their communication needed some work to be open and honest about what they wanted and expected of each other. But it was beautiful to see their friendship become everything they never knew they needed. The worry about changing a friendship to a monogamous relationship had both of them halting. Neither thought they could have such a relationship, but they were already doing it perfectly without realizing it.

I love how Zahn just wants to identify as open, he doesn’t need a label to know who he is and what he wants. The only thing he doesn’t know is that he loves his best friend, and it was fun to see him figure it out. The man who is Mr. Variety really knows how to be possessive when it comes to Remy.

Man I love the Dares! I wish I could know them in real life because they’d be the best time. I love the growth and development in this book. It’s cool to see how love can look so different for so many people. The smut is on fire. I’m not one for group situations with different partner groups (to each their own) and I prefer relationships that by some point are in your face with the “I love you, you’re the love of my life” so that’s why this one gets 4 stars. But I love Zahn and Remy and can’t wait to see where they go! They just need to deal with the fact that they’re boyfriends 🤣

Zahn and Remy definitely aren't your typical characters learning that they're gay for each other. The way they go from friendship and hooking up but not touching to only wanting each other is a se*y and wild ride that only Nordika and the Dares can provide!

This is the latest installment in the Dare brothers series. This is the story of Remy and Zahn. This entire series revolves around the Dare family and their significant others. It is set in Alaska, with all of them having different occupations. Remy and Zahn have been best friends since childhood, and they now own a bush plane company together, transporting goods to other towns. I have not read the previous books, as they are mostly MF. Norkida did warn that if you hadn't read the previous books, you may not understand the family dynamic. She also included a quick synopsis of the previous books at the beginning of this one and I really appreciated that.

Zahn has a very "open vibes" personality when it comes to sexual encounters. He doesn't want to put any sort of title on himself, he just simply feels the need to have the vibe be right. Remy, while described as being able to flirt and work the room, seems a bit more reserved. These two discover that they have a better time when each other is present, so they devise a wingman type of plan where they score together. They slowly start to realize that actually watching each other or participating together is what they really want.

There is a lot of time spent discussing this evolution in their relationship - this sense of friendship moving to more, what challenges that could present for them and how it may change their relationship. In my opinion, however, the story spent a bit too long discussing this. While the book is described as being MM, I feel it's more MMF, with the majority of their sexual encounters involving other women (and one other man). This of course is fine, but I wanted to see more of just these two together.

I absolutely loved all the other characters, and I truly appreciated the breakdown of the other books that Nordika included in the beginning. I loved Mama Rayne, and honestly would love to have a front porch chat with her! Even though I primarily read MM, this book did make me want to go back and read the earlier ones.

The chemistry between Zahn and Remy is off the chart since page one. I’ve been DYING to see their interactions whenever they’re not on the page together. And whenever they ARE together, sparks fucking fly. Every sentence they said to each other was filled with sexy banter and pure trust and affection. No matter if it was when they were friends, fuck buddies, or lovers, as long as they were near each other, the tension hanging in the air was impossible to ignore. The magnetic pull between these two went CRAZY.

Zahn and Remy started as lifelong besties running a small business together. They do everything together, eating, working, flirting, and even hooking up with girls. After Zahn revealed that he’s also attracted to men in front of Remy, everything changed. Remy started having confusing but irresistible thoughts, and Zahn started questioning what he truly wanted.

And so their self-exploring started separately-ish but also together-ish. With the help of their fantastic supporting net, they eventually found their way to each other again in a much more intense and intimate way. Started as friends and ended up as life partners.

This book was big on discarding labels, pushing against social norms, and following your heart. Zahn and Remy were possessive of each other, trusted each other, and wanted to experience life together. They refused to define their relationship for a long time, but the love and care they hold for one another is just as strong and valid as any other relationship forms.

Overall, what impressed me the most was the undeniable chemistry between these two extremely hot and charming best friends, the banter in conversations, and the level of blind trust and understanding the MCs demonstrated. Truly made me believe that they’ve known each other since birth. As always, the dialogue written by Nordika Night flowed easily and addictively, I couldn’t put down this book for the life of me, even when I was supposed to study for my finals lol

If you like best friends to lovers and awakenings, this execution WILL NOT disappoint you!!!

This was such a funny, sweet, and spicy read! I recently caught up on the rest of the Dare Brother’s series and I was so excited for Zahn’s book. Although love is shown in all forms throughout the series, this is the first MM focused book and the fifth in the series. You don’t have to read the first four to enjoy this one, but I believe it's best to read as a true series to fully understand and enjoy the Dare family dynamic.

Remy and Zahn have always been best friends. They frequently share women and a night with another couple leads them to realize that they may be attracted to each other as well. Zahn has always considered himself very open, but

I think this book was the most character driven in the series. The plot was interesting but the bigger focus was on these characters and how they were affected by these new feelings. There was a lot of introspection. In addition to grappling with their feelings for eachother, each character also focused on what these feelings meant for them and their own identity. They also examined various types of relationships and what would be best for them. While complicated, I loved how each character handled it and everyone’s responses to it.

The spice was also quite varied and super hot! There is a lot of spice in this book with lots of different partners (no cheating). The boys start out sharing in the book and they get together with another couple as well as other partners throughout their journey.

I always love when the rest of the Dare family is around. The found family trope is always done so well in this series. The Dares welcome everyone into their fold and Remy has been an honorary Dare since he was a little kid. We get to see updates on all our favorite siblings, which for me are Kade and Four.

I believe the Dare twins will be the next to settle down, but we haven’t been any clues so far about who their partner(s) will be.

I can honestly say I’ve never read anything like this book before. It was on fire, from the beginning til the end! The Dare family is open and comfortable with each other like no other group of people (also, I want to be Mama Dare when I grow up!). Nothing is off-limit, no topic of conversation, no situations, no possibility. And while this story was absolutely scorching hot with amazing characters, it is the fascinating, eye-opening conversations that make it a must read!
Remy and Zahn had been friends forever, they own their own company and have been flying all over Alaska for years. They also run a strong, sexy pickup game together and they are as comfortable with each other as they are sure of themselves and who they are. You guys better buckle up because Nordika was not joking around when it came to hotness in this book! Vanilla sex just doesn’t do it for Zahn who is all about the vibe and loves to mix up things, nothing and I mean nothing is off limit ... and although Remy mostly has the same outlook, he lately feels more comfortable exploring while Zahn is around. This leads to numerous hookups and while I don’t want to spoil anything I’m sure it comes as no surprise that slowly but surely the guys sexual preferences change. I valued so much how open they were with each other, with their friends and siblings about this. I loved how the Dare family was the most solid support system for both boys. This was such an amazing journey and I especially enjoyed it because of all the discussion about love, relationships, and what that really means for different people. I loved how this book challenged all notions of conformity and normalcy in relationships and sexual dynamics. I don’t even have to tell you how fantastic Nordika’s style is, it’s relaxed, fun but serious at times and truly captivates you, making you feel like you are right there with the characters. All in all, you are in for an exhilarating read for sure!

After really enjoying the first book (Little Demon in the Details) by Nordika Night, I’ve now pretty much read all her books and I can’t wait for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it was another good addition to the Dare Brothers Series. This Zahn and Remy’s story, who are best friends and business partners. I really felt like their change in feelings felt natural and not forced. I loved seeing them slowly accept their feelings for what they are. Who would’ve guessed that Zahn “Mr. Variety” Dare would end up being so possessive of Remy. I loved their dynamic and that they were still best friends but with a lot of f*cken hot added extras.

Mama Dare porch chats make me smile. I loved how Remy made Gen’s a*sehole of a father include Gen’s medical school fees that he was constantly holding over her head and to leave her, Four and the Dare family alone as part of the out of court settlement for his plane crash that Gen’s father’s pilot was responsible for. Gen’s father was absolutely livid but Remy told him that he’ll take him to court if he doesn’t agree and he backed down. I thought the chemistry between Zahn and Remy was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. I absolutely love the Dare family and I’m looking forward to getting more of them as the series continues. It’s the twins turn next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Hay algo que siempre me pasa con los libros de Nordika Night, y es que su narración me parece taaaan repetitiva siempre, que al final le puedes quitar 80 páginas al libro de tantas veces que dice lo mismo en distintos párrafos.

Más allá de eso, me ha gustado la tensión que había entre Remy y Zahn, las escenas picantonas me han gustado, están bien escritas y siguen un buen ritmo, progresivo.

En cuanto al desarrollo, ha sido una mezcla de entre rápido y lento. Lento porque como te cuenta los mismos pensamientos 1000 veces en diferentes situaciones, sientes que las cosas no avanzan y están estancados, pero rápido porque la trama emocional, para mi gusto, ocurre un poco de la nada.

Eso sí, me ha parecido un buen best Friends to lovers, a diferencia de knock knock, del cuál tenía MUCHAS expectativas y salí decepcionada.

Es el 4to libro que leo de esta autora, y ya estoy acostumbrada a su forma de escribir. Adoro los conceptos que da y los personajes que escribe, siempre que leo una sinopsis de algún libro suyo me entran ganas de leerlo, pero luego al leerlo siempre acabo aburrida jaja, así que probablemente me entre el gusanillo de leer otro de los libros que vaya a sacar en un futuro, pero sin duda sé que ninguno de los libros que saque van a ser de mis favoritos, i know what i get into :)

Question: How do I get adopted into the Dare Family? Actually, scratch that, one dinner at their house would be more than welcome.

There are so much love, acceptance and people in each other business so much and it definitely works because I love them so much. I haven't read the other books but I will be getting to them(in order this time) just to experience these characters in their own stories.

Zahn and Remy's story is a bestie-to-lovers gem that I have just discovered from Nordika. The way they were able to move from their kinky hot hookups (these scenes were so hot!!!),
to learning about their need to have each other as a constant was so beautifully written. Their communication about how they felt and the limits each one had was top-tier. I would swoon every time they checked in on each other. That's why it worked!!

I climb into the passenger seat and put on a headset. “I’m coming with you.” I slam the door.
“Because you don’t think I can handle it?��
I look right at him, speaking my truth into his blue eyes. “Because I can’t handle it. Okay?”
His face softens for a second, and then he grins. “Fucking pathetic.”
“So pathetic,” I agree as he fires up the engines.
Whatever. I feel better about it. At least this way, if we crash and burn,
we’ll get lost in the wilderness together.

I loved this family ! I didn’t read the previous books but this one makes me want to do it . Even if don’t like going backwards in reading order in a series , i would almost consider it..
it’s really different from the other books I read by Nordikana ..

Very fast paced , we are not bored for one second, the major trope in this book is the sexual awakening, everything revolved around this topic , until very late in the book our MC wondered about their attraction..

Nordikana’s writing is top tier , the banter is on point, the spice does have many closed door moments with some opened ones.
I would have preferred some moments to be shown, I would have loved to read some moments (I’m not speaking about the spice) .. I was frustrated that some parts were just .. not there ..

I would recommend it ONLY if you are not bothered by the fact that there is many sexual encounters with women at the beginning and an atopic familial dynamic (voyeurism for example ..)

Zahn ana Remy are everytning! After all the books I read, I wouldn't think of myself as too naive, but what goes on in @nordikanightauthor 's head?? I want to burrow in there and see all the spice she's got hidden away The dynamic between the whole Dare family is pretty out there, but the things Zahn and Remy get up to on the regular blew my mind a little bit. Best friends who suddenly start to see more is such a well used topic that you wouldn't think anything new could mix it up. But Nordika has rocked our worlds again with the way she leads their story. Regular team hookups begin to lose their sparkle as these two boys begin to only want each other. But, as with all the Dare brothers, things don't always go too well if you don't talk about stuff. Z&R might be incredibly good at the naughty stuff, but they have to learn to get the talky bits out there. Once they do, life keeps getting better and better. A 'them' type of relationship, without ever calling it a relationship. Loved every single word I also really loved the series recap at the start. So many more authors should do this, especially for those of us who read a lot. Sometimes books all meld together, and you forget what happened in which books.

I fell in love with Garron Park and delved into every book I could find from this author and I have never been disappointed.

Every single book is incredible.

This series is like nothing I have ever read. The family dynamic is both ridiculous and wonderful. I have loved every dare brother although I didn't think I would love one of them more than I loved Four but I was so wrong.

Zahn and Remy have that best friend connection that runs so deep, it was inevitable that things would turn romantic. Its the ship we all hoped for, but they not only didn't see it coming but they are so beyond confused by it. So adorable...frustrating but very very real.

There awakening to this new aspect of their friendship was so genuine. It never felt farfetched and that is exactly why I love this author. She writes real, raw good and bad.

This book is hilarious funny, crazy family, best friends to lovers and just the right amount of sexy spice.

For my fellow MM readers who are maybe weary of this story with there being multiple scenes with women. Fear not. The focus is on the guys always.

OK this turned out to be a vey weird and uncomfortable experience for me. I wanted to DNF this so many times. I know before reading that I am getting into a book where there are many MFM scenes and there is polygamy all over. But I didnt realise that they extended to majority of the story line. Although I liked Zahn and Remy as MCs and their bond, there is just too much repetitiveness on some of the chats between them. Their hesitation to get into a relationship was more awkward and dragging than real. It just sort of dragged the entire story line.

Not appreciative of how much the other family members hog the story. And all the brothers have an orgy at the end (although with just their partners, thank god) in living room in front of each other. It was weird AF to read.

It was a weird family where the brothers get boners looking at their brothers' wives/gfs and they are proud of it. I mean, uff! not my cup of tea. I have read and loved many taboo books that went beyond the natural order of relationships etc etc but this book hit me wrongly for some reason.

All the MM books that this author writes, I wonder, do they all follow similar pattern?

Here it is, book 5 of the Dare Brothers Series 🤗. It’s been a bit of a long wait but SO worth it!
I just fell in love with Nordika Night’s writing from the first book I read in that series in December 2022. She had me hooked with her characters that live relationships dynamics outside the societal norm but are so endearing that I just wanted to keep them close and read their lives everyday of the week if I could have.
I discovered she writes a bit more MM books but her MF or MFM or … well all of them are SO worth it!

She became very fast one of my favourite authors with her stories that are funny, deep, smutty, original, special and so much more ❤️

This fifth book didn’t disappoint!
Being in Zahn and Remy’s head through their journey of self discovery was a little crazy but I adore each and every moment of it. I also enjoyed very much reading about some of the main characters of the previous books in the series. I just loved them all so much, the updates on their lives are like little gems sparkling through the story.

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone reading this, so I won’t say more, but I dare you to try this book, you’ll thank me later 🤣

Yet another banging 5 star read from my favorite author.
The Dare family is an ever evolving circus of love and I'm here for it. Zahn and Remy did not disappoint.
Chemistry, friendship, kinks; these boys have it all and it's wrapped up in a big blanket of love for one another ..... after they learn not to be scared of it that is.
I love the representation of ethical non-monogamy. It's done in a lot if books but never as well as this one. I feel seen in a way that's hard to describe and the lack of judgment just makes it all the better.
Cody and Cara have a wonderful relationship but I also really enjoyed how Zahn and Remy's evolved over the course of the book. It felt very natural and true to the characters.
Reading about Zahn getting possessive was also super hot. Which brings me to my last but most important point: the spice!! This whole series is a delight. The plot to spice ration is on point. The spicey scenes never feel repetitive and never fail to get me all hot and bothered in the best of ways

I found this friends-to-lovers story about Zhan and Remy to be quite enjoyable. It has been a long time in the making. The dynamics of their friendship are exceptionally entertaining. They engage in playful banter and occasional disagreements, yet they remain fiercely loyal to one another. After navigating through various changes and discovering their true selves, they finally acknowledged their feelings for each other and achieved a satisfying conclusion.

The Dare family played a significant role in the narrative. However, at times, I felt that Zhan's excessive focus on his brother's and Laken's relationship detracted from the overall story. It seemed as though he was intrigued by their dynamic and sought to understand it in order to gain insight into his own relationship with Remy. The extensive nature of the Dare family, with numerous individuals mentioned throughout the story, occasionally led to a temporary loss of interest on my part.

Zahn is officially my favorite Dare brother, and this has become my favorite Dare Brothers book!
Remy is the perfect partner in crime for Zahn's crazy, no limits lifestyle, and has been since the 1st grade.
Zahn and Remy are wildnout with guys, girls, one night stands, and hookups all the time. But lately Remy has been hanging back and just observing, so it's no surprise that when an opportunity for a little fuckery with an old high school friend arrives, Zahn is all in, and Remy chooses to just watch, until he doesn't and changes everything. From that night on, their friendship vibes morph into more, and the book goes from spicy hookups to absolute fire between the two of them.
This book has a very satisfying HEA and all the other couples from previous books, the Dare family, and a lot of side characters who I hope get books (Gar I'm looking at you) are featured.

I found Nordika Night because of Garron Park. I then decided ‘I love the way this author creates worlds and characters - let me binge-read EVERYTHING she has ever written so that I can flail about them forever.’ And so I found the ‘Dare Brothers’ series. I need to stress to everyone - I think everyone should read this series - it’s found family, it’s blood relations, it’s finding yourself, it’s growing and evolving in your skin and sexuality. It’s also primarily - until this book - M/F. If you want to dip your toes into the Dare Brothers world - and not read the other stories - you can read this one and not need to do that. Nordika gives you a cheat sheet to the background stories and you can just dive in.

Also - one thing I want to put out there - these are two idiots who are figuring themselves and their f*ckboy lifestyles out. There is a LOT of sex with people who aren’t each other in this book. There is a lot of voyeurism in this book. There is a lot of self-discovery in this book. This is possibly the spiciest slow burn I have read in a hot minute. Or even if we are being honest.

Let’s also put something else out on the table - I have faith in Nordika to create relationships and bonds that I will love. I also know myself and while I love the series the fact that Zahn and Remy are friends to lovers - was a red and green checkered flag for me. I was all in and wanted to read it - but I knew that could potentially be an issue for me.

I know you are all shocked to find - this was not an issue for me.

The way Remy and Zahn got to figure themselves out, the way they prioritized their friendship, the way they attempted communication (and sometimes actually communicated) was amazing. The spice was spicy. The emotions were evolving and growing and the connections were growing stronger…

And you get to meet Gar. Everyone needs to meet and love Gar. Trust me.
