Kind of watered down with personal anecdotes -- not my favorite style -- but nonetheless carrying a sense of humor throughout as the author reflects on his earlier naive beliefs. Also had some good ideas, but not much new here. I would recommend for those not up on their rebellion/revolution literature ;-)

For questioning Catholics, Tom Stella's words are clarifying and penetrating. He wisely references the words of the Bible, buddhist monks, and even poets to shed light on the Church and God, the latter who is buried deep beneath it all.

I, too, have been questioning doctrines held by institutional religion, so I related to the author's premise. I do not agree with his thoughts about Jesus - I believe Jesus was who he said he was (and is). Other than that, this book was refreshing and thought-provoking.
