I've been hiding from my stalker ex for over a year. No matter what I do, he won't leave me alone, and no matter where I go he finds me. I've gone on the run and ended up in a little mountain town called, Beaumont Peak. While getting a bite to eat, my ex finds me. I panic. I can't deal with him, not again. So I approach the huge, flannel clad man at the bar next to me. A ask him to kiss me and he does without hesitation. But the kiss is more than I expect, just like my mountain protector is more than I thought he would be. He makes it his mission to keep me safe, and in the process sparks fly. That is until my ex finds a way to put not just my life, but my protector's life at risk.
Will I ever be able to rid myself of my stalker? Or will I loose everything, including myself and the man I'm falling in love with?
This is the final book in the Mountain Men of Beaumont Peak series. These books are standalone and can be read in any order. There are no cliffhangers and is a HEA!
OKAY THIS WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD?? less than 50 pages yet filled with tension, suspense, spice. I wanted more??? Definitely the best of the Mountain Men of Beaumont Peak series.
Instalove done RIGHT. lol I love a big hulky protective mmc who’s willing to hurt his healing body by moving her curvaceous form to sit her 🐱 on his face- that’s commitment babes.
Okay, TikTok got me with this one and the opening scene, but it was downhill from there 😅 I know going into a 50 page insta love novella to have different expectations than a full novel but this was just not great.
Literally took place over 24hours, and there was so much about the police involvement that was absurd. The spice was meh, and there was literally not depth to the characters (I genuinely don’t think I could tell you a single thing about Cole other than his name).
Cute little novella that was able to get me out of a book slump. The quick character tension was well done. I would have rated higher, but they said “I love you” after less than 24 hours and it made me gag. Ruined the ending for me…

Not poorly written as far as grammar but I should have checked how long it was before “starting” it. It took me maybe 15 min to read. So it’s a super quick, fast read. It made it really hard to connect with the characters or believe there was any connection between them. The only thing I’ll say is at least the epilogue was a year later.
I didn’t really know how to rate this tbh. I chose it because it was only 50 pages and I don’t wanna start a full book with the reading challenge ending in a couple days.
It was a cute story, but the main characters saying “I love you” after 24 hours of meeting gave me the ick. AND with her ex being a stalker, I picked up on a bit of a pattern…
I feel like if I’m going to read another short story it needs to be of a one night stand, and THATS IT. Throwing a whole love story together in 50 pages irritated me.
1.5 🌟 I know this is a short novella, but there was legit zero depth to the characters and them being in love with each other in less than 24 hrs was crazy. Also - her ex finds her minutes within her arriving at the bar and she thinks the best idea is to pretend she has a new boyfriend? if he can find her that quick, I dont think any relationship like that would be believed. The whole story was a little absurd
1 ⭐️ Ugh why do I do this to myself? I guess I didn’t realise at first it was a short story but sigh. I’m not really into Insta-lovey stories as it is and then to read a short story and boom in love in under 24hrs. Just isn’t the style for me. I need to build more of a connection first. I need that angst and tension and growth in them. It just didn’t feel realistic for the circumstances she was in. But I understand that could just be a me perspective.
Are these the best books ever written. No. The plots are fairly ok, the characters are likeable enough. Are there parts that are just a bit outlandish and unbelievable, yes. These are short story’s, there isn’t going to be lots of build up and investment. But they’re decent filler books, if you want to read but you’re in the ‘in-between’ stage and their fairly harmless.
This was an adorable short story that dealt with Violet who was on the run from a crazy ex boyfriend intent on hurting her. She finally ends up in this small town bar when the ex catches up with her again. She makes a split second decision that leads her to the muscled mountain man Cole and their story is lab instant connection. Trouble still looms but their love is exactly what you need to relax enjoy and watch the story unfold.
This is a quick short story that packs a punch. I love that the author took the time to set this book up. We know that Violet is on the run from a stalker. Cole is the biggest man she has ever seen so she asks for his protection. There are no cliffhangers just a HEA. This reads longer than s short story. I enjoyed it.
So hard to read. I am so tired of people making up their own narrative on how the world works with 0 factual information. Also very predictable and has been done better by other authors. I won't let him touch you, 2 seconds letter bruises on her arm from where ex grabbed her while this guy was holding her.
I saw a preview on TT and was intrigued. I was excited to hop into this story and immediately downloaded on KU. I was super bummed to find that it was a short story. Not my typical go to when it comes to choosing a book. The story is there. It has so much potential. It would be awesome to have MORE. I was super disappointed.
I downloaded it because I saw a preview on tiktok. Super fast read. If you like short stories, this is good. I like more detail, but the plot was interesting. I needed a quick pallet cleanser after reading a long fantasy series with lots of world building. This did the trick. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.
SHORT and sweet, I Fouad’s via TikTok and read this in about an hour… didn’t look at the page count until things were feeling crazy rushed and I realized I was about 60% of the way through the book! So. Ya got spice, ya got instalove, ya got a couple happily ever after. If that’s what you’re looking for, ya got it!
I'm pretty good at a willing suspension of disbelief, hello monster romances, but when it's in a regular setting that's more difficult. Violet has been stalked for a year, but goes home with the first guy she meets at the bar? And has sex with him? And tells him she loves him in the first 24 hours that they know each other? That's a bit too much for me to willingly suspend for a 50 page book.
This is a super fast read. If your looking for a novellas that's sweet, spicy and has a plot this is an excellent choice. For a 49 page book it hit all the high notes for me and would love to see it worked into a full novel
This book is the best of the series. Storyline that isn’t based in 100% sex. A plot that has a bit of intrigue even though it was predictable. One that developed the characters that held my interest.
Nice story. Read it in 30 minutes. Sometimes it is good to read a story this short before you jump back into your books. Not something I would read all of the time but it was a nice change in pace.
It’s amazing that the world at large can forget how much security and safety plays into a relationship. Passion and love are much hotter with them as well. Praise to the writer for celebrating all of this.
Personally, I've never read a book that consisted of only 49 pages. I have since learnt that I need a minimum of 300 😂😂 But, this short, sweet and to the point book was exactly that. It was good and if you only have an hour spare, you can get its a good option.
Every year I read at least one Novella and every year I hate it. Too short for me, I would be interested to read the full novel the author is writing surrounding this couple.
A very quick insta love with a protective mmc. Our fmc is on the run from a stalker and needs the help of our mmc. He gladly indulges in a kiss to protect her. And… the rest is history.
This last one in this series has to be my favorite. I loved how protective Cole was. Poor Violet just wanted away from her abusive ex. These two were perfect for each other!
It took me less than a hour to read, unfortunately it was too short. It would have been really good if it was longer still enjoyed it but ended to fast
TikTok made me do it. Definitely a short story so if you’re a short story fan this is for you. Plot was good but I’m just not a short story person. I thrive on detail.
