To me, this book seemed more like "here's how to organize your future kitchen" rather than "here's how to organize your current kitchen on a budget." There were some good ideas, but many did not seem cost-effective and it would require me renovating my kitchen. It also seemed like there was more pictures of pretty kitchens than actual organizational stuff.
Some good ideas for very specific upgraded kitchens. Beautiful to look at but having a very basic kitchen, the ideas do not apply. Very fun to look at though!
Definitely better than just browsing Pintrest, this book talked both about how to find more storage space, and how to organize that space well. It had a smattering of everything -- ideas for remodels, plus a few DIYs for retrofitting. I'm definitely going to make a simple "helper shelf" later this week, and it's got me planning on how to make pull-out shelves for the cabinets.
This book has lots of full color photos and clear explanations about how to add storage and convenience to your kitchen. It made me want to tear out my kitchen and start over. There were a few good ideas I can incorporate now, but it would be especially useful to anyone building a new home or planning a remodel.
Great book filled with information on food shelf life, what to organize together, how to make storage solutions yourself, lighting, cabinetry, etc. I would consider it a go to book for your next renovation or build.
This book is not a pretty kitchen book as much as a organization book. Divided in sections addressing specific areas of the kitchen like sink, stove etc., it leads you through the supplies that should be on hand in each area and some of the ways they can be stored. If you are remodeling or building a kitchen from scratch, this book is a great resource helping you think out what kind of cabinets, lighting, and other storage methods you might use in each area of the kitchen. It is probably not the book to help you decide what style of kitchen you want or what surfaces to use.
